I've always used a taped up rad hose pick from harbor freight. Put it in the pry hole and pull out. Worked on srw and drw.

Ready to see your way. I bought a pry bar set from harbor freight and wrapped the end of the smallest pry bar with Tesa tape.
Edit: I like your way better haha. Never thought of doing that.

Interesting video - I was removing one lug nut per wheel to replace with wheel locks - I started removing the first lug like you mention and then saw the hub cap piece make a noise - thought I had messed it up (this was two weeks ago - before watching your video), so I looked for the indentations and carefully used a pry -bar. Now that I see your method, I can see where I should have just backed out the lug nut more and then reached in and pulled it off by hand :)

I never let Ford rotate my tires, they did it once using the nascar method dropping the lug nuts on every wheel putting indents in every wheel, these were expensive aftermarket wheels

Honestly I just got out of the tire shop & had tires mounted on my new Black Tremor Ford Motorsport Wheels. I just tried to install Ford Factory Wheel locks on the lugs. I declined after I was using the spare tire factory tool included in the Jack with the rubber coated tip. I never swore so much in my life and was messing up the black finish! You know what. Let the thief’s steal them! They won’t be able to get off the stupidly designed center wheel caps to even begin! I never saw a more stupid wheel cap design in my life in 58 years on this planet. Please explain your method on the rear wheels where there is nowhere to grab from underneath 🤷
