That bike is beautiful, had one same color I bought new in 84, it was a leftover 83. You might use a jet kit, your pipes look a bit blue, all those bikes were very lean. Love that 650 Nighthawk "whirr" smoothest motor ever.
OMG bro Im so happy I just got a 83 nighthawk 650 and a 82 rebel 250 both for 200$ they been sitting in a garage but they are clean and complete put a battery in each one last night and some carb cleaner and it started right up gonna go through carbs and fluids and will be amazing bikes and I got titles toob
I bought the metallic candy apple red 650 nighthawk new in 1983 and rode the hell out of it and loved everything about that bike, now I bought a Suzuki C50 T and wish I had my old 1983 nighthawk back it was a better cruiser than the 2019 C50T I have now and it was much quicker to, I had a kerker pipe and it sounded good, use to get compliments from people all around.
Smart looking cb650. How long did it take to restore it to that condition. I'm looking at buying one here in the UK. But its in a bit of a sorry state at the moment.
That looks awesome (except for the incredibly 80's looking instrument panel haha) There's one for sale right now, but it's in Wisconsin and I'm a broke college student, so won't be able to get it for another year or 2...
+Abraham Zúñiga Torres My wife has an '85. Top speed on the speedo shows 165. I have ridden hers. Its scary fast. Easily keeps up with/surpasses my 98 Nighthawk 750.
+rrz464 68-ish horsepower isn't all that fast; with that being said, my Nighthawk does feel faster than my '79 Cb750. Nowhere near scary fast unless you're brand new on the bike.
+en4775 It is closer to about 78hp, but still. I know its not the fastest in the world, but its still more than enough. Honestly, I think it is also the feeling the shaft drives give vs the chain like on my 98. In 1985, the NH 650 was the fastest production motorcycle available. It is a bulletproof joy on 2 wheels to ride. :)
+rrz464 true, they are pretty fast! I have an '83 650 myself. it's gotten me into trouble more times than I'd like to admit haha! the guy I bought it from told me it wouldn't run but 2 days of seafoam, a starter rebuild, and fresh gas and she purrs!
Nothing wrong with it at all, that's just how they sound. Older VFR's sound the same way, nothing but pure joy when they start up. Next time you see one go stop and listen, they are superb engines.

I am riding one in 2020, it's all original and immaculate.
I love it 😁🇬🇧
this is very collectible, one near me in Utah just sold for $3500
Ahhhhhhhh my first bike. Nostalgia.....
I bought one just like it new, I remember the whirr from the helical gears they used, this was a very smooth bike.
These are now very expensive and collectible. They are just super reliable.
I have a 1985 Honda nighthawk 650 and I love this bike. Rides great.
How is the performance of it .it really does look nice would love to have one .
Had one exactly like this. Yours is in stellar condition. Thanks for the share.

What a nice bike way ahead of its time and fast
My dad had this exact bike. He traded it in for a V65 Magna. Those new Hondas had a distinct smell when they were new.

Nice ride! Would ahve been sweet if you did a high speed fly-by.

About 120 to 125 i dont look at my speedo when im going that fast low 12s in quarter mile
Sounds like it needs a tune up or something. Beautiful bike though. I've got the 82
Different engine more cam lift
I have a 83 red with 13500miles barn find make me a offer clean title also
something does not sound right...sounds like the starter hasen't disengaged.
the cam chain has come of!
the nighthawk's had a big alternator that would wine like that...

Too small
I’m sorry , hang in there, you’ll find someone eventually.
