    Thanks for all the informative videos.
    If I can add candy2o in 4030 or uvls I was wondering if I could mix it in with urethane clear to create a tinted head lights. Has anyone ever tried?

      4050 UVLS Gloss Clear is the recommended mixing medium for candy2o, which are concentrated dyes, www.candy2o.com. Thank you.

    why does the paint not come with 4030 already mixed? (Probably a stupid question!)

    • @CreatexColors
      @CreatexColors  Před 11 měsíci +3

      Not a bad question at all. The type of urethane-resin used to make 4030 atomizes better when sprayed soon after mixing with the paint, and more importantly, reducer. Our new Wicked Opaque Colors are made with an acrylic-urethane resin and don't benefit from mixing with 4030 as do our traditional acrylic-resin paints. Thank you.

    Why wait 12-15 minutes?

    • @CreatexColors
      @CreatexColors  Před 11 měsíci

      The alcohol in the 4011 Reducer breaks down the water's surface tension, which allows for better flow and improved leveling. Thank you.

      @CreatexColors is it possible to add flow improver and skip waiting 12-15 minutes?

      Wait time for break-down of water-surface tension is recommended by most manufacturers of water-based automotive paints. However, you don't have to wait. This is more of a technique for painters who desire an optimum finish in regards to leveling, however you can skip this step especially if you're in a rush and the leveling and smoothness of the finish (for example automotive or musical instrument refinishing) isn't required. If adding other additives like a flow improver, test extensively first. Thank you.
