I knew a guy who was Chinese American and was no longer allowed to go to certain subs (after power school) because of potential risk of familial ties back in the PRC.
I was in Air Force. I made a LOT more money AFTER I left the military. I'm an engineer and decided to work outside programming. You can easily make $240,000 a year writing programs. You really don't have to be a slave for the military and protect U.S. assets, or be a hired gun to steal resources from weaker countries.
