The Walt Disney Company own's all rights to this clip from The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004)
Genovia's national anthem makes me patriotic for a country that doesnt even exist
Same here 😅😅😅😅
For real tho… feels like I live there

Imagine what the bullies from her high school days are like and how their reacting to this
I bet they are so jealous! Especially Lana!
They'll be HATING!!! If this movie took place in 2022, they would be tweeting shit like, "oh, she wasn't even that cute!" Or something.
They actually became her friends…. Showed it at the beginning of the movie
They're probably eating their words rn, throwing them up and shoving that word vomit up their butts. 😂
@@lapetitemorte526no it didn't. Those were completely different people
That little sigh that Clarisse did when the pope removed her crown expressed so much even though we couldn't hear it. All those years of being queen were over in an instant: the pain and hurt of losing her husband/consort and her son, the struggles and judgements of being a queen without the "aid" of a king, the sacrifices and prices that came with being the ruler of a country, meeting Mia and training her for many years to not just be a princess but to also prepare her for being queen, and so much more. It was like watching a physical weight, not just the crown itself, was being lifted from her shoulders and she was finally free of the duties and burdens that came with being queen.
Hoo hoo hooo! I can't believe it.
I agree. That's what I got from it. I also interpreted as her resting in confidence knowing that her granddaughter will make a fine queen.
Yes Clarisse had devoted most of her life to her royal duty and had always put it first even over her own happiness. She had bore the heavy weight of that crown and it's responsibilities for so long. Now with that crown lifted off of her head she was truly at last free of it's weight and her duty. She was free for the first time since her marriage to King Rupert to live her own life and finally choose her own happiness. It also helped her breathe that sigh of relief that she knew that crown she had suffered and devoted so much to was passing to her granddaughter who she proudly knew would be a great ruler .
NO, that's an archbishop.
Actually Clarisse was the consort and was regent until Mia become of age
“Sparrow is taking off.”
“The eagle is flying-for the last time.” Will never not bring tears to my eyes. I literally didn’t remember any other part of this movie except that because it came out when I was about 6, and I didn’t have it on VHS, but that line will stick with me till my dying day.
That line about her final chapter always makes me cry too 😭😭
I cried when I hear this line mostly beacuse the way she said it, emotionally
Yes that and also "they both do" scene gives a lump to my throat
"The eagle is flying for the last time"
That always got me in tears.
crying 😭
In crying
There is a new eagle
This was really one of the most iconic series back in my childhood. Before Elsa, we had Mia proving that we don't need a man to be Queen 👑👑👑
Of course you don't need a man to be Queen you need a woman.
If you want a king then you need a man.
She does though, prince selections 😂
Can we appreciate how regal Anne H. And Julie Andrews look? I mean, i can truly believe they are royals.
The way Charlotte's voice slightly breaks when announcing Queen Clarisse's entry and then the way she says they both look very beautiful, speaks volumes. It's so beautiful to see how close yet professional this relationship was, never seemed too friendly yet you can see how much Charlotte cared about the queen and how much the queen trusted and relied on Charlotte. Further proof of Queen Clarisse being absolutely perfect as a leader / boss.
What's really fun is that the lady who plays Charlotte is Julie Andrews daughter IRL.
Still get chills every time I hear them announce her as Queen at the end! So wish they would have done a 3rd movie but also it’s hard to top of this one!
they even have a script for a 3rd movie and i really am praying they make it come true.
Me toooooo
It’s just been announced. Let’s hope Anne Hathaway comes back.
SHUT…..UP!!!!
@@Cinemahguy omg are you serious
This is not a scene, it's THE scene 🤩❤️❤️
As blissfully weird as this movie is, this scene always brings a little tear to my eye. This is the scene that is the culmination of Mia's journey from awkward american teenager to the queen of an entire nation. When the Genovian Anthem comes through it's hard to not feel proud of Mia and all she has accomplished. I like to imagine that her father is looking down on her coronation and feeling even more pride than the audience.
“THIS IS MY TIME TO SHINE” is the best way to end this movie. Still one of my faves!
the reason this scene is so emotional and powerful despite it being a disney movie is anne hathaway and julie andrews. they communicate so much with so few words.
Her bullies: we fucked up didn’t we?
2:25
Genovia, the land I call my home
From the green clear summers
To blossoming pear trees
Magnificent her mountains and seas
Genovia, Genovia
You're noble, proud and brave
Genovia, Genovia
Forever will your banner wave!
Of all the formal gowns she wears in this movie, this one HAS to be my favorite 🤩🤩🤩
It appears to be modeled after the one worn by queen elizabeth II at her coronation
@@cittiavaticano it was. It was explained in the PD2 makeover feature
@@cittiavaticano czcams.com/video/54W88FIEYtA/video.html
I think this one and her red dress at the beginning were my favorites. I mean the rhinestones in the red dress gorgeous!
there will never be an scene this iconic from disney tbh
This moment. I remember when this movie came out, seeing Mia get the crown on her head has been cemented into my brain ever since. How she went from a girl no one ever looked twice at to a freaking Queen, absolutely amazing. Seeing that smile after she's officially announced the Queen of Genovia at the end, I bet after she was able to get a moment alone she started jumping up and down so proud of how far she'd come.
Was anyone else paying attention to kaptian kelly asking lilly if he could call her? It was SO CUTE! So was him lighting up when lilly inpersonated him at the parade! Also, sabastians voice, damn
The climactic musical moment during the coronation always gets me. 1:41 1:53 feel so magical.
IKKKRRR??
I cried real tears watching this as a kid
I'm crying today 😂😅
As an adult too 😅
Anne is just gorgeous!! She is what a queen should be.
Omg. I was crying at this scene. Like it is so emotional seeing them both walking down the stairs
They need a third one with mia and Nicholas happily married with a daugther and another baby on the way and focus on thier daugther as she deals with being a princess
I'd so like that too and then the diary can continue through their daughter.
2:02
cant imagine what her high school bullies must have been thinking lol.this was an awesome movie.maybe someday there will be a third one
I love this scene so much 😢❤️ her majesty Amelia mignonette Thermoplis Relnidi Queen of Genovia 😍
Still gives me chills
My mind is blown that this movie is nearly 20 years old…
I bet the ghosts of her Father and Grandfather were in that room and I bet they were so proud of her
Honestly I really thought that Nicolas and Mia will get marry at the end but I was also proud that they made her independent that she could be a Queen without a husband as a woman
If Queen Elizabeth can rule a country without a man so can mia hope one day a third movie can be made soon.
Anne Hathaway looks like she could be a live action Belle in this scene.
Unfortunately, Emma Watson took that role.
I wish she was in the 2017 remake :(
Everyone raves about how Elsa became queen & didn't end up with a husband, but let's not forget the OG. Mia did this. She stopped her own wedding to her ex fiancé & took on the role of Queen by herself.
The pets having their own crowns sends me 🤣
They are royalty of course they do !
The scene at the end when they finanally announce Mia as Queen is so iconic amd never fails to make me emotional and give me gooaebumps ❤️❤️❤️
One of the BEST scenes in the whole movie😃😃😃😃😃
God Save the Queen of Genovia! 👑👸🏻❤️✨️
Beautiul. So emotional. Iconic scene. This movie is gorgeous
I cry at this every time and especially today... Queen Elizabeth II has died. I was not one of her subjects but I respect her and feel deeply for the pain all those who loved her are going through now. Warning: All disrespectful replies to this post will be reported on and you will be blocked.
I agree QEII was not my Queen, but I still respect her.
She was loved by so many people. It was not just England that lost a queen, but the world. (Plus, can we talk about her sense of fashion? *chef's kiss*)
@@yasminemobley7858 YES! I love her fashion sense so wonderful.
It looks so real.
I was so sad when we didn't get a princess diaries 3 to see her marry the guy she chose.
After waching this scene. For the nth time it still gives me cchiills
King Charles’ coronation reminded me of this iconic coronation 😩
brit pageantry is still superior :)
mia would say this is for you dad her father would be so happy and proud of her
0:13 I like that even her cat’s at the coronation
Every single time I cry when I watch this movie
How many times have you watched this?
Me- Yes
love the combination of england and monaco in this movie
Even the pets have crowns and tiaras
This one is so good
Love this ending in this scene ❤❤
Gets me every time 🥺👏🏾👏🏾❤️
2:37 lol he’s voice packed and left 😂😂😂
Congratulations Queen Amelia mignonette Thermopolis Rinaldi of Genovia your Majesty
Sultanah Nur Diana Petra Abdullah, Sultanah of Kelantan
Imagine if Michael could see her looking so stunning.
Look at Julie Andrews’ face when the bishop takes her crown off. 😭 HECK THAT WOMAN IS GOLDEN.
I get goosebumps every time I see this.
Honestly, a pretty epic coronation scene. Though I will say that Aegon II’s coronation did unseat this one.
Oh this movie was so good
What I have never understood is why the wedding was held in the cathedral but the coronation was held in the front hall?
Queen Clarisse after Mia's coronation is considered as Queen mother?
Or the Queen grandmother as Clarisse is Mia's grandma 🤗❤️
She would just be Queen or princess clarisse just like Queen Mary was given the title Queen during the reign of her son George the sixth and the early reign of Queen Elizabeth II as the duchess of York would be the Queen Mother and there can't be two queen mothers in England. With clarisse she would most likely be called Princess Clarisse as she is no longer a reigning monarch as she already held the title of Queen Regnant of genovia so there can't be two Queen's of genovia. Mia would be the senior and head of the Royal Genovia house and princess Clarisse would be downgraded to just a senior member of the genovian royal family and Joe would probably be granted a title of nobility as being Clarisse consort as she would be of higher rank than him so he will probably take the surname of the genovian royal family like prince Philip did when he married Queen Elizabeth.
I always thought Anne Hathaway is so beautiful..especially in The Princess Diaries.
Queen consorte clarisse ✨
Amelia was now the Queen of Genovia, but she loved Michael..
I was never young enough for this.
I want my own coronation 😅
Mai dad is very proud of her
Im honestly glad, she proved she could do it without a husband. You don't see films like this anymore. Now there all generic...
I just love this🎉
Let us stand for our national anthem
Me emociona cada vez que lo veo
Love this movie.
Julie Andrew’s said it during the first movie, Anne Hathaway was a superstar in the making. She wasn’t wrong.
Was it me or did the Captain of the Guard sound like he said “Company, HONK!” I don’t know if it was just me.
Nick and Mia sure make an unlikely couple.
At 3:02 the actress who portrayed the nun is here.
Lana’s probably screaming in regret how she treated Mia
Amazing and épic.
I LOVE this movie!!!!
I remembered that this movie is on Disney plus.
chills
Wait a minute, New Dream Coronation Outfit; Princess Dress, Empire Waistline, Monarch Train, Imperial Robe, Crown Jewels, Queen Neckline, and Coronation Gloves.
I love this
I wonder if they did a 3rd movie what would it be like with Mia In charge
0:03 me if he kept doing that "BRU FR COME ON LETS GO I DONT HAVE ALL GODDAMN DAY TO BE LISTENING TO "LEFT RIGHT LEFT" XDDDDD
Best movie ❤
3:02 Is that James Earl Jones?
I do want to point out(Obviously this is a fictional movie and not real) but technically Queen Clarisse shouldn't have been able to claim the throne since she wasn't a royal. She could have been regent for Mia, but technically she did usurper the throne from her granddaughter.
No, you are incorrect. It is not unheard even in real life of for the spouse of a monarch to act as regent untill the next heir can rule, theres no chance she could've usurped because Genovia is clearly a constitutional monarchy, which means theres a parliment who also has power, they probably recognized her officially as regent making it all above board. Also I would point out, it's confirmed the king and queens marriage was arranged, so even if she wasn't royal, theres a good chance she was of a noble bloodline.
@@DonnyDunne I never denied Queen Clarisse was of noble blood. Yes, she can be regent, but regents aren’t monarchs, they rule in the name of the minor monarch. Regents don’t have coronations and Mia still would have been Queen Mia and not Princess Mia if her grandma was just a regent. Yes spouses have taken over the throne from a spouse, but they tended to overthrow said spouse. Obviously, this is a fantasy movie, so lots of the plots are based on facts of actual laws.
greetings your majesty
Does anyone know the name of the song when they are walking down the stairs just after Charlotte says “the eagle is flying for the last time”
The Baroness is Valak 🥰🥰🥰
Omg she is too the nun movie creeped me the hell out
❤❤Awesome movie
This movie was made when disney was creative and no woke.
@@gabidobre5584 oh a cristal break down poor woke baby. Craaaaaash
❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
Maybe if Nick and Mia married and ruled Genovia together.
This was before we had Sparks’ Coronation
I think Mia dress here is a little copy, inspiration of Queen Elizabeth II coronation dress
All these princess movies show a happy ending for a monarch. What would it be like if the American girl, who found out she was related to royalty, would say""I'm an American. We fought a war not to be oppressed by a monarchy. Solve your own problems, I'm staying in the US where I belong."
Meh. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the UK, Japan are monarchies and they are considered full democracies. I assume Genovia followed the same evolution of most European monarchies and became constitutional monarchies.
@@raphaelledesma9393 not if genovia is like monaco; the ruler is supreme still but as the subjects to not object very much: naaah it's fine :D
El diario de la princesa 3 tiene que ser algo inolvidable para lo que vimos y crecimos a mia termopolis renaldy reyna de genovia
