@@wandarichard1865 are the motives, actions or outcomes in alignment with the principles outlined in the Bible, you know that it's POSSIBLE that God is talking to you... You need to weigh up a message.. if you think God is telling you to write another chapter of the Bible, you know it's not good speaking, because in John's gospel and Revelations we are told that such things are demonic.
I just learned of Tim Keller a few weeks ago and have been listening to his teaching every day. Today I learn he passed away in May and I am so sadden. I'm crying and not sure why. I have shared his teaching with others in hopes that they may learn from him. I just feel like I have lost a friend who I never meet personally 😢. Peace and grace to his family❤
Same! I left a comment almost exactly like this one and I had to look to make sure this wasn’t my comment. I have been learning so much from Tim and have already read a couple of his books. No one has ever helped me comprehend and experience God’s love like he does. He opens up the love of Jesus in the Bible in ways I’ve never seen before. I had strayed so far away, in my disillusionment. I feel like I am understanding God’s love for the first time and actually loving God genuinely and not in words only.
It is great that we can still hear his preaching and be blessed.
I pray that God will raise many more pastors like Tim Keller. Rest in peace, Tim. I'll see you on the other side
I know he is with Christ now, but thru his sermons published on line, Keller has become my greatest life mentor. Not only does he dispense the word of God, but he has mentored me in many life aspects. I consider him the wisest man I’ve ever heard. I try to listen to his sermons daily because he has made me a better man and he is constantly pointing me to Christ………And he is alive. He is alive with the God-man this very moment. He is alive with our Creator. How great must that be?

I also consider him to be the wisest man I have ever listened to, so thankful to have found out about him through one of his best friends from seminary who was the pastor of our church in the 90s, I continue to learn so much from him! We were in Mexico with friends, I was telling them about him and found out later that day that he had passed, I was so sad too but am so thankful to have access to hearing him as much as I want!
What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.

I just listened to Tim Keller yesterday. I think I have listened to four. I woke up around 12:30 AM and listened to another on. Finally went to sleep after thanking the Lord for teaching me through His servant.

Dear Praying Friends,
Kathy and I want to thank you for your many expressions of support, and for your faithfulness in praying for us. We have been acutely aware of those prayers, and God has heard them...
As of yesterday, I have finished six rounds of chemo for pancreatic cancer and, while there are indeed some side effects, my doctor says I’m tolerating the treatment very well. I have not been seriously debilitated and I can still do some work and ministry.
Yesterday we also met with my oncologist to go over the scans taken on Monday to assess the effectiveness of the chemotherapy. The report is very encouraging. There has been shrinkage of the tumors and so we are continuing the chemo in order to diminish the cancer further.
Our situation has driven us to seek God’s face as we never before. He is giving us more of his sensed presence, more freedom from our besetting sins, more dependence on his Word---things that we had sought for years, but only under these circumstances are we finding them.
We humbly beg that you all continue your prayers for the effectiveness of the treatment and minimal side effects to accompany it. Your prayers and concern mean more than we can express. Thanks so much!

Oh, So Beautiful ♥️ When I was a courier for 8 years, on the road all day I struggled with being able to forgive the nasty drivers. I would pray to God To Help Me !! Oh, Did He Too. He would bring to my mind that I have done nasty things to people as well before I became a Christian. I was able to forgive and I even got rid of...... Road Rage !!! What A Wonderful Sermon ❤️

WOW!!!! What an engaging, scholarly, yet unassuming speaker. I lived in NY 12 years and never heard of him or his church. I really wish I could have met him. If all preachers spoke to people as Dr. Keller does, churches would be full.

The knowledge and insight by this speaker in the light>Light is down to earth and enlightening as he expounds on the Word of God and examples of people's lives and relationships in the entire history of humanity that is involved in Creation. In Prayer the "Lord's Prayer" teaches us how to pray and start living the Way while Psalms expounds on what to pray for as we are overcomers in Jesus by wonderous life in atonement and propitiation in His journey to the Cross and empty tomb then appearing to various people and disciples or apostles.
The last part where he talks about Frankenstein to me was what a lot of people in our world today need to hear. Only Jesus sees us as we truly are, blind to all our past mistakes and only seeking us for who we are. I pray that anyone who feels lonely or not loved knows and believes that God loves them and nothing we do or have done will never change that. God bless

"And of course, if God doesn't come through and answer some of your prayers you're going to say, 'where are my benefits?' And you're going to be ready to walk. Cause you were friend_ly_ to God but basically you're not friends. *You're not loving because you've been loved, you're just doing because you've been done for.*" This is really making me think about my relationship to God and also to others--where have I had a purely mercenary relationship that should have been a loving relationship? It's easy to measure the value of a relationship in terms of input/output, what you give and what you get, but that's not friendship and it's certainly not love. Thanks for the reminder pastor Keller.

The book of Psalms is the place in the Bible that teaches how to pray.
Psalm 25:14
Friendship - is infinite consulship
Friendship with God is important; it’s spiritual and religious.
In culture Spirituality is popular for sake of inspiration and not the religious discipleship.
Friendship, it’s Possible: Exodus 33:11;
James 2:3
- friendship begins with two people having things in common
Friendship, why it’s Possible: theology shows that friendship is Possible
- the triune God is a friendship
- God exists as 3 persons; He is the Trinity
- love is primary
- we are made in image of God, a friendship
- relationship is primary
- In creation, God knows what it’s like to be man because He made us
John 15- Jesus laid down life for friends
- God understands the fallen man’s plight; commonality makes it possible to be friends with God
Friendship, how it is Possible.
1. Obedience: John 15:14; Psalm 66:1
- people loser intimate friendship with God because they lack obedience
- obedience makes you more like God; it is holiness and in friendships people influence each other
- obedience takes transparency, letting each other be themselves; let the Lord be God, let Him role and reign
- there is no use to sing praises to Jesus and be disobedient
2. Believe in justification by faith alone, Psalm 1,
- God can’t be your friend, He’ll only be your boss; impersonal without understanding atonement which is justified and believed in my faith
- during the sermon on the mount Jesus explains needs for respecting and reflecting on the Scripture for revelation and relationship with God
- Jesus delighted in the Word of God, died death were each deserved, granted believers benefits of heaven
3. A dynamic 2 way communication with God
Psalm 61
- for prayer to be friendship you have to talk and hear God ; to know that God is speaking to you have to go to Scripture:
Hebrews 4:12; Genesis 1; Psalm 29 - when God speaks it happens (it is kinetic)
- if you wasn’t depth in prayer life you not be deep in the Word of God
Heart and respond to the Word of God
“You have to let your prayer life be galvanized by Scripture"
4. By God’s Grace we sometimes, experiential presence, seeking God’s Face...
- to actually see someone conveys information needed to create the reality of a person’s impact
Psalm use sensory language to properly live love
Friendship with God is sometimes seeing God to connect with Him and be satisfied in Him
5. That we meditate on the death of Jesus for sale of God’s friendship with us
- Jesus made Himself vulnerable and invites us to Him for friendship with every believer in the world
- in the power of friendship with God, change of heart takes place, His love takes the verdicts cast on you and over shadows that with love
Father help us be a friend to You.

Kevin Belgrove - friend you are confused over the function of language and it’s cross cultural translation. This may help. No name change involved. What you are observing is a function of language - which that same God invented, by the way. Charles, Carlos, it’s the same name in two different languages. John, Jan, Juan, Ioannes, Johan, Johannes - again, all the same name. Nobody changed anything. Yashua, is what we pronounce “Joshua,” and it means “deliverer” in Hebrew, just as does “Iesous” in Greek, which has come into English as “Jesus.” “And thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save (deliver) His people from their sins.”
HaMashiach is not his name, nor a part thereof; it is a title: “The Anointed.” And just as with the name discussion, this has been brought into other languages which impact the pronunciation, or even the word itself, depending on whether it is translated, or simply transliterated into the other language. In Greek, the word christos means “anointed,” so that is the (Divinely inspired) translation of His Hebrew title. Both words mean “anointed.” And it is quite obvious that the Greek christos, is simply transliterated into English as, “Christ.” Again, no “change” involved, simply bringing those same words and concepts into a different language.
Kevin Belgrove - you have actual scriptures great so do I but you are missing the actual message. When Jesus came in his fathers name he was speaking as the holy one with authority. Unless you can read Hebrew or Koine Greek you are reading translations my friend. Do a little more research before condemning folks for linguistic matters. God created all languages and all people, he’s not just God of the Jews only but also the Gentile. This sacred name movement is missing the mark. But I do think it’s important that we hold true to our convictions regarding sin. Have a great day Kevin.

Names are important, and the Lord must always be respected and honoured. But to say that people are condemned because they use the name 'Jesus Christ' to refer to the Lord is well beyond all reason. A name refers to the character of a person. When someone sincerely prays in the name of the Lord Jesus they are praying with due honour and regard to His perfection of character and His power and authority. Whether they use Yeshua or Jesus or Yahusha, they are referring to the One Lord, the Yeshua of the N.T.. Ho kurios.

The Watchtower witnesses (who wrongly call themselves 'Jehovah's witnesses'..... if they were truly obedient to Jehovah they would call themselves witnesses for Christ - Heb. 1v1..... they are in reality acting as servants of Satan, though they don't realise it)) actually change the words of Scripture out of a misguided effort to appear reverent towards the name of God. They have changed the Lord's name in the New Testament to 'Jehovah', even though that name is NEVER used in the N.T. In other words they are taking it upon themselves to correct the N.T. writers. This is foolish and also pretentious. I'm wondering, Mr. Belgrove, if you are a Watchtower witness yourself.
Whether you are or not, or whatever you are, don't be so quick to condemn people. It is God who will judge. And don't casually misuse Scripture as you have done with your facile misinterpretation of Heb. 10 v26. The apostle is there referring to something else completely, as you full well know.
@Kevin Belgrove Kevin, you have set the bar so high with the importance of precise naming, that you have violated your own standard. You must know that that the 4 consonant letter name of the Hebrew God has come to us without vowels and therefore any written or oral version of that name (with vowels or vowel sounds) is a guess. Yet, people's salvation hang in the balances whether they use the "Kevin Belgrove Pronunciation" as seen on youtube!? If God is as petty as you make Him, you yourself don't have much chance of entering the pearly gates...none of us do. Thankfully, the character of God is not how you have represented Him and we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

But does your belief in Yahusha changed your life and made you a better person?
I can see from your reply that you already judge us who "deliberately keep on sinning"..(taken from different context). While Jesus told the pharisees that, You who are without sin should cast the first stone and judge not so that you be not judge. If you believe in the right name of God, you will be more careful to treat others. That's the teaching of Jesus is all about. Sadly, for others knowledge puffs up..they claimed to know the right thing but behave the other way.

That still small voice has come to me. A few times. I believe you can hear from him even when you aren't in the Bible. At the times I heard these things I didn't understand and only listened to the Bible. That being said i love all of Tim Kellers sermons. He has changed the way I understand God and the bible.

There's so much to comfort, inspire and instruct in that book of prose and praise that is the Psalms : conveniently placed smack bang in the middle of the Bible. What amazes me about them most, among other things, is their historicity.
Psalm 75 v 2 reads " I choose the appointed time, (not covid 19 or the economy) it is I who judge uprightly.
When the Earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm". Parenthesis mine.
