This is best video. Oh, and when you said you are not a professional artist, you had my expectations really low. But DAMN!! That model is looking awesome. You may not be a professional artist. But your skills are definitely on professional level. Thanks for the tutorial. Maybe in 6 months I'll have mine finished
This was so helpful and straight to the point! I really appreciate it because I'm trying to make my own 2D model (although I can draw I'm struggling with CSP and find Live2D overwhelming) and the other tutorials I've seen make it look overly complex, whereas your tutorial makes this seem tenuous but still doable. I guess I just need to learn to trust the process heheh. Thanks for sharing!
THANK YOU! This is the Kind of tutorial I was looking for, going over everything while not going to fast or too slow to make me pause one million times or not pay attention!
Thanks for this video! This was helpful. I just noticed that I merged lineart with the face of my character. Will be fixing it before I finish all of it and go to the Live2d
Hello! We will be so glad if you can make a full tutorial on how you so this. Please make tutorial on the model the brushes you uses, how you make the layers separate and many more. Please do Thanks
Pls if you’re gonna do the deep fried audio at least make it as loud as your own voice 😭 I turned up my volume to hear you better and now my ear hurts lol
Ok so we have to divide our drawing into parts, but like... how? and which parts? i feel like this is the most important part and you barely talked about it
Before I watch more than 10 seconds of any more of your videos at all, do they all have an eardrum rupturing speaker shattering audio blast? or is this the only one where you try to kill me? Goddamn why. That was way too much for a joke.
wait, how do you do the trigger effect at the beginning, i never took the time to learn that, tell me. ok, i’m going to be doing this while watching, so here goes the video analysis (i do this if i am tired and bored) “if you’re broke and can’t draw crap for a living, then welcome” lmao. 28 hair parts is quite a lot, even for a professional live2d rigger, they will probably use 8 normally. the main reason is that there is no need for 2 parts for the same part of hair that moves the same way. Especially if you are a beginner, which if you are watching this, you most likely are, it will be confusing if you create too many parts for yourself to handle. (i don’t know crap if you know me lol, but if you don’t, then i do know my stuff). Oh right, I am definitely not the guy to go to for hair tutorials, but somewhere to start for hair is using a reference for the hair color, then pick the best color for the flat color, then add shades and highlights (make sure the hair is fairly straight no matter what style you are going for unless you want a hairstyle that becomes very stiff and not right). oh also, caffeine bad lmao. a easier way to cut up the hands and still making it fairly flow-y in live2d would be the make the 4 fingers one layer and the thumb on a different layer. by the way, always use reference when drawing your character, you must always do that, but make sure to always use more than 1 or 2 (personally i use around 6-8 or maybe 11 if i am feeling really special that day hehe). wow, how did I watch this whole video without skipping at all. Thanks for reading, you now have more respect from me, maybe not much, but at least it still is more.
I've seen some videos on people drawing their characters. And I think I kind of understand it it's like making one of those paper puppets but not quite. My primary form of drawing on the computer is using inkscape. And I haven't really seen any tutorials for it in regards to creating a 2-D live character. Can anyone give me any pointers or send me in the right direction?
hi, im corrently trying to make my first vtuber, is it possible to geht a copy of the file what you are using here? i would love to have a sample where i can see how you work and how you set up your folder structure (i would love to click the layers on and off) especially around the mouth, my biggest problem area >-< im currently watching the video in 0,25 but sometimes ist still to fast ^^ but overall its the best tutorial video i could find :D
i have the same question! Considering how many layers there are a small px x px and dpi seems like the only way. Maybe 1920 x 1080, bc that's the resoluion of most folks' OBS broadcasting software?
Honestly, it depends on how you want the model turn out to be once it's rigged. It's harder to explain in words. Anyway, this video is very outdated, i do plan on someday make an updated version and new tips and tricks but who knows when.
Yep! My commissions are open, you’ll know about my prices through niku-yoku.carrd.co/ website. If you have Any further questions, my email will be found there or twitter acc.
Im Neanderthal, so im sad there wasn't more explanation on how the color was put in between layers. Im going to have to find a different video to follow now because it wasn't extensive enough.😕
0:09 Save your ears and like this comment. I love the tutorial but not killing my ears every time I go back for reference and a guide lol
I hope people check the comments before the video... unlike me...
didnt even get the chance to scroll down
Yeah, funny joke just if you do it again maybe make it the same volume as the speech instead of 4 times louder
damn my eardrum feels like its about to explode, too bad I just saw this comment after the pain
thank God I saw this comment in time

0:05 Volume warning!
This can damage your hearing and your Speakers/studio monitors!! :')
THANK YOU SO MUCH! You’re a life savior 😭🙏🏻
You had me at " If you're broke and can draw sh*t" XD
this is so informational i never thought about half the things youve said
AWESOME video! I'm wanting to take the custom vtuber plunge, so thank you for posting such a clear explanation! On to part 2 of your tutorial!!
Hello! We will be so glad if you can make a full tutorial on how you so this. Please make tutorial on the model the brushes you uses, how you make the layers separate and many more. Please do
Thanks
Definitely wish people give warning to loud sounds. I have already bad hearing so my volume is already loud
Pls if you’re gonna do the deep fried audio at least make it as loud as your own voice 😭 I turned up my volume to hear you better and now my ear hurts lol
This is great, Thank you i am on the process of making my Vtuber Character for my stream and this is very informative
Heyo mayo, I found this tutorial very helpful, thank you :)

She is very relatable at the my broke lazy ass parts for my broke lazy ass didnt know what to do i dont want to sketch etc.
Thanks for ruining my headphone and my ear.
My headache was enough for me but that startup noise messed my head more.
Ok so we have to divide our drawing into parts, but like... how? and which parts? i feel like this is the most important part and you barely talked about it
thanks for the ear warning already half deaf in my right side smh

internal screaming part scared the fuck out of me.
it was so loud.

Goddamn why. That was way too much for a joke.
I opened this video like a background while I'm doing other things and first what I got was a jumpscare in first seconds T_T

Thank you for sharing this knowledge
You are really good at this :)
Спасибо за субтитры
loved this sm
I’m really boutta use the default model for VUP because I can’t draw for jack
That looks hard since I have a mouse to draw my own character with it and I tried it, it didn't look well
How to open reflection mode?
Ill come back if i can actually learn how to draw 😢
jesus my ears in the intro. worth it
at the start of the video i dropped my phone in the bath and i thought it broke
I've seen some videos on people drawing their characters. And I think I kind of understand it it's like making one of those paper puppets but not quite. sound warning would have been nice ;o;
how did you make her lines and pass and make the fugura, I can't find this method, do you have a video for very beginners
hi, im corrently trying to make my first vtuber, is it possible to geht a copy of the file what you are using here?
i would love to have a sample where i can see how you work and how you set up your folder structure (i would love to click the layers on and off)

but overall its the best tutorial video i could find :D
how do you clip shadow outline the face ? the shadow is seen on the face but it not seen on the hair.
maybe a dumb question, but what are the dimension you use for PSD?
i have the same question! Considering how many layers there are a small px x px and dpi seems like the only way. Maybe 1920 x 1080, bc that's the resoluion of most folks' OBS broadcasting software?
Hi, if you see this, what brushes are you using for the eyelids/shading?
My poor ears in the first 10 seconds of the video
I was wearing Headphones btw
I have a question do u colour in the outlines or in a different lair
i would already give up at the scetch because my hands are so shaky!!!
How do you do the symmetry thing on clip studio paint?
I had a heart attack-
The voice is so low let me put the volume higher
Seconds later her exploding my ears 👁️💧👄💧👁️
I struggle with clothes 😭
my ears...
im sorry just saying left and right isnt mirrored confused me lol i need to see and do to get it
Awesome tutorial! Which program did you use? 😃
I use Clip Studio Paint Pro
@@niku_yoku Thank you so much 😌❤️💜🙏
does having this many layers cause the computer to lag? i usually get huge performance issues with just a few layers sometimes atleast on krita
Yep, the bigger the canvas, and the more layers it has, the drawing program lags. That is if you have a potato laptop/computer.
RIP my already damaged ears :')
where to turn on the symmertry tool qwq
rip my ears
What app?
So u dont need to merge lineart and color for only face? Or like also eyes?
Honestly, it depends on how you want the model turn out to be once it's rigged. It's harder to explain in words. Anyway, this video is very outdated, i do plan on someday make an updated version and new tips and tricks but who knows when.
@@niku_yoku oh okayy nice
would the model work without eyes?
is clip studio free? and if not is there any free programs that aren't to confusing?
Nope, clip studio isn't free, and yes there are other drawing programs that are free and less confusing like Medibang and Krita
@@niku_yoku ah!! tysm!
What site/app is she using to draw her model??? That's the only part that I'm struggling on taking in..
She's using Clip Studio Paint PRO to draw the model.
FUCKIN JESUS MY EARS
If that’s the lazy way of doing hair, I’m not sure what my way is then 😅
What lineart pen do you use
Here, I use G-pen which a default pen in clip studio. but now I use a different one.
MY EEEAAARRS
What size and dpi was the canvas?
I used 4000 x 6000/7000 (depending on the height of the model) with 300 dpi
@@niku_yoku thank you
which software you use???
your intro gave me a jumpscare
excuse me what kind of draw us for
is it for free??
The drawing program? Nope, not free, but there are free programs out there for sure. The rigging program, live2d? Also not free
Rip ears XD
What is the canvas size?
5500 x
7900 px
300 dpi
