- In this video, we had the chance to try some amazing food and even went scuba diving for the first time! We explored the stunning underwater life of the Indian Ocean and the stunning views of the city. Join us as we take a journey through this beautiful city and experience all that it has to offer. Our first scuba diving experience in White Town, Pondicherry was truly incredible. We felt like we had stepped into an underwater paradise! The diving site was around a sunken ship which many fishes had adopted as a new home, we were extremely lucky to find the perfect weather and clarity underwater to be able to see everything so clearly!!
The dive master (Our buddies) were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and they made sure we had a safe and enjoyable experience. They were able to take some beautiful underwater videos for us that we will treasure forever. Overall, it was an experience of a lifetime and we would highly recommend scuba diving in White Town, Pondicherry to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure!

Hey Anurag, there are actually many providers, however we went to urban nomads as they are PADI Certified, we did Discover Scuba for INR 5,500/- Per person, but it was so because they were running a promotion and hence this was a discounted rate, you may find the costs between 5500 -8000/- per person. I would suggest for you to ensure that the dive center is PADI certified and that will ensure an amazing experience.

What about the specs which she was wearing, I was actually planning to try this, due I have long sight problem and power is minus, are you wearing lens, if so kindly suggest...
Hey, I was not wearing any lenses as I wasn't carrying any with me. Instead they had mask with power lenses which I used and it was quite comfortable. We suggest that you inform the instructor about your requirements if any at the time of booking.

It is a part of the package as you are required to know a few skills before going for the main dive.

@@harshithnag3458 well it highly depends on various variables, the conditions, the divers comfort as it is practically the first dive for many etc. Every second of it was amazing though, time really flies in there!

The food and cafes in white town are beyond comparison. Our favourites were:
1) Sarguru for South Indian food
2) Baker Street cafe for breakfast
3) Cafe ole for hot chocolate
4) Eat my cake for great ambiance and a great cafe experience+ amazing food.
5) Biriyani Veedu for biryani offcourse!!
Also, for scuba diving you can directly contact urban nomads for the best current price. We had paid 5500 INR when they had a discount offer running.
