Incredible, his playing is almost orchestral
This, my friend and fellow bass player, iZ absolutely stunning. To hear all of Bruce'Z playing-crisp and clear...iZ a gift! ThankZ again for posting this video!
Thank you very much. Because of your work, I was able to transcribe the bass line for 'Those Were the Days' for my Cream tribute band. I am very grateful.
Jack Bruce. Dam what a groovy, smooth bass player. One of my heroes. Thank you.
Great post of a superb musician. So thankful I saw him with Cream and Jack Bruce Band with Ginger Baker.
Man you’re lucky.
Awesome, was just listening to Crossroads and wondering if anyone had done an isolated bass track and you have just posted this! Thank you!
Thanx a lot for this video. Jack Bruce and his Gibson EB-3 is just AWESOME. One of my bass heroes!
FINALLY isolated Bruce. Thank you.
hearing crossroads with just bass for the first time was like listening to it for the first time. mind blowing.
Spoonful
Heavy Track.
Thank you so much for creating this video!!!
I found out about Cream around 2014 and will always be grateful for it. They were indeed the cream of the crop
Very nice playing. There's some jazz notes in there.
Jack Bruce once said (to paraphrase) “Ginger and I knew Cream were a jazz band…we just didn’t tell Eric!”
The maestro
It never occurred to me until today that maybe I can find Jack isolated bass tracks, I'm going to be listening to this a LOT! I've gotten as far as "Politician" and one thing I was hoping for (but that is not on here) is the SECOND bass track during the solo section. Many people may not be aware of it but the solo portion of this song has double lead guitar parts but also has double bass guitar parts, so you've got FOUR tracks all soloing, playing off each other. That's one of the things that makes this song unique to almost all other rock and roll. Double lead guitar is commonplace, I honestly don't know of another song which has two bass guitar parts.
there are a couple of other times i think i've had to isolate a double bass track, the only ones i can remember though right off the bat are some from chris squire:
"the fish" from fragile is worth checking out, there isn't any electric guitar on the song, just bass: czcams.com/video/Za-z6kpvMgQ/video.htmlfeature=shared&t=1103
some interesting ones on the yes album, songs 2, 3, 5:

a short section on a later yes album has it too but it's pretty short, not sure if there's any more on it: czcams.com/video/UFycxLDgync/video.htmlfeature=shared&t=3585
also a john entwistle one on the "a quick one" song, but this isolation isn't the best: czcams.com/video/hvAIgzk7Lik/video.htmlfeature=shared&t=1401
boris the spider has it as well, but it's more or less the same thing being played twice
somehow i didn't notice it on politician though, and now that you mentioned it i hear it.
i made a playlist recently with all the isolated bass videos i did, feel free to check it out:

How cool is this? Thanks.
How were you able to Isolate these bass tracks with no bleeding from the guitars and drums??? There fantastic, but a puzzle how they were done. Thanks!
