I thought the Light was all that was good. Like Ultima.
Now I think... that it is just a being that only wants things to turn out his way. He could of easily turned Marigold back, but chose not to. For what? He could have at least got on Midas's good side and probably changed this man for the better. Her daughter turned to gold is the reason Midas acts like he does now.

With what we know of Oro now (by Chapter 3 Season 2), Oro has always been a self-serving liar. The fact that Oro has screwed with and ruined Midas' life from the beginning, including turning his brother against him and killing Rio, Midas' wife, the day she gave birth to Marigold, which happened long before Midas even received the Golden Touch, proves the whole "Midas, you abused the power" is also nonsense. Oro admitted the other gods punished him long ago, but for what, we do not know. But considering Oro took the form of the Autumn Queen to deceive young Midas and others on different occasions makes me suspect Oro stole the Light from her.
