As a hand engraver, I'm seeing " MLG" on your love token.
Awesome article man! Congrats on getting the opportunity to do that. You showed that we’re not just wanting to take stuff to hoard but to share history. Thanks
That love token was amazing!
I just subbed your videos are great
Appreciate that, man. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the sub!
I also read the article this morning. I enjoyed reading about the passion you have for the hobby and the adrenalin rush you get anticipating the next hunt. We all have this in common and it's hard describing this to folks who have never had the thrill of digging a piece of history. My favorite find is a 1925 Charlie Chaplin theater token. I'll never forget brushing the mud off the token and my hands shaking. Uncovering the history of the token was even more satisfying than finding it.
Absolutely. That's an awesome find, I don't think I've ever seen one!
If you look up Snohomish Man Finds Chaplin Token, there is an article about it in a local paper. That was fun too 😄!
let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵
Darn good hunt ✅ Sick relics found ✅
You can etch that silver with the acid you test silver with to confirm it’s silver. Plenty of videos on YT. I tried it and it worked.
Excellent hunt.
You found a wonderful spot.
I love historical & personal relics. The Love token is amazing ‼️
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you!
Definitely a pretty good hunt. I only use CZcams. But I watch every video you put on here. Always look forward to them
Really appreciate you watching and commenting!

Thanks Jim 👊🏽
Great Hunt. Just seen an article on you today. The pictures of all your find are incredible. Congrats on the Love Token. That one is still on my Bucket List. Congrats on the Silver Reale. Love the Saber Piece. Nice piece of History. Love the Marble and Leaf piece. The Wheatie that was shot I've found some Coins like that also. My favorite is a 1960 Penny shot perfectly in the center Straight through it. Congrats on all you finds Take Care.
Thanks so much for watching!!
I replace and build a lot of fence in East Tennessee. I hope for your sake that you don't get pestered with staples, wire, etc. Lol. I actually find a lot of things just lying on the ground in the woods, road ditches, and all kinds of places you'd never believe. It's always made me want to metal detect. I might have to go fishing a little less and go detecting.
Yeah, it def makes you prioritize your hobbies, lol.
Great hunt!! Love finding personalized items sure makes for some fun research:)
Thanks! And I absolutely agree 👍🏼
At a certain angle, your "love token" looked like a seated dime? Great finds as always! Keep them coming!
Thanks Jody! I'll take another look lol, I keep seeing things as well!
Congratulations andy❤❤❤❤awesome
Love that Love Token, know pun intended. I found a heart shaped 1802 2 reale,is the closest thing I found close to a love token.
Wow, awesome find! Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Great hunt! Man I really thought I saw a shield on the dark side of that first coin. If I could post a screen grab here I would...
You def would have! I'm convinced it's a real. Appreciate you watching 👊🏽
Another awesome hunt! Great finds, congrats!
Thanks Joe 👊🏽
WOW CONGRATS. Wont find anything like that up here in Alberta Canada LOL
Thanks! And thanks for watching from up north!
Great hunt! Congratulations!
Excellent finds 👍
Came here from reading and article about you. Was so interesting! Subscribed!
Glad to have you! Welcome, and thanks for the sub!
Very nice. A lovely hobby!
Thank you!
The second item that is hole-ed could be trade silver if there were native Americans in the area they had pieces of silver coin sized that were blank that they used to trade with the trappers and settlers. Just an idea.
Awesome 👊😎🇺🇲
Great digs man
Another great hunt congratulations.
Thanks Wayne
Nice hunt, congrats on the holed coins.
Thanks 👊🏽

Much appreciated!
Way to go man !
Thanks for watching, Joseph!

gday from oz,ive seen simular love tokens in new zealand obviously british coins there,to me it looks like a sixpence text looks victorian,1850s 60s nice hunt
Thanks for watching Roy! That would be interesting if it was.
U get on some dang good sites! Congrats
Thanks for watching, Robert!
Fantastic content! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Excellent show. Looked like MLG to me. Question is, if a soldier was wearing it, was it his other halves initials?
Thanks! Exactly right, makes it virtually impossible to ID, but I'm still going to try.
The piece you think may be a spur rowel is definitely a clock gear. Too many notches for a rowel. The piece with the knot is a piece of a colonial era shoe buckle.
Def could be a clock gear, prob is. Although I had checked and there are examples of spurs with as many spikes. Awesome on the shoe buckle. I knew it looked familiar! Thanks as always!
Scabbard tip is awesome. Great love token! Good hunt!
Much appreciated, Eric 👍
Shot coin looks like an Indian for sure. The side you thought was the back you can see the tips of the head dress I'm almost positive
Going to take another look!
@idighistory, what detector would you recommend for general detecting for relics and coins?
It really just depends on what you want to spend. The Nokta Simplex is about the best lower priced machine you can buy. The Minelab Vanquish and Garrett Apex series are also great. Plenty of youtube videos with tutorials on all of them.
I'm no expert, but isn't that rough but where the seam is on the musket ball called a sprue?
I think the sprue is where the opening in the mouth of the mold would leave a tiny bit of raised lead on the bullet. It would line up with the seams. I've dug some where the sprue is really visible. Appreciate you watching!
Shoe buckle
You think?
At least part of one. The rope knot design looks familiar. Check a button book.
MLG?
Or MGL, if the middle letter was actually the last name, which was pretty common. Makes it more difficult!
why do you think the first silver was spanish?
Not reeded, size, weight, and general look of it.
