Overnight at the LeConte Lodge in the Smokies

In this episode we crossed something off our bucket list. We hiked a grand total of 0 new miles but enjoyed an early fall hike on one of our favorite high elevation trails in the Smokies and a sunset and sunrise from Mount LeConte as well as their famous dinner and breakfast. To be honest, the food was....not amazing. But there were biscuits and cookies and unlimited lemonade.

Heard yesterday that the lodge is looking for some one to oversee operations. Hate to see it close. Wife and I spent the night there about two years ago. Enjoyed your video. Thanks

Oh man, that’d be so interesting to do for awhile. Cannot imagine full time though!
