RIP Mimi. I've been listening to this song on repeat and it just hits so hard. It doesn't get anymore beautiful than this folks.
recognizes that the the worst in us is only a misunderstanding away from the best in us
You nailed it. Perfect description.
Awwwww, look at Mimi. What a classic beauty. The Invisible Way is amazing beyond words.
My understanding is that Mimi wrote this one too.
One of the most beautiful songs ever made! This is so great!!!
one of the prettier songs on the new LP. nice!
Yo man what you doin here? I just got it on vinyl bruh
Best facial expressions in any music video
absolutely.
I can't get enough of Low!!!
This song is just not long enough... I keep on needing more every time I listen it¡
Thought I'd need this on my 2020 playlist. I was so right. This song & video is great on every level.
My fave Mormon band.
There’s music and there’s magic and there’s Low
Amazing. From the first note to the last.
Just a few sips, man you have to taste it, the taste it is the foinest
man made Irish Whiskey
love this band so much
Well you could always count on your friends to get you high
That's right
And you could always count on the 'rents to get you by
You could fly
And now they make you piss into a plastic cup
And give it up
The cup will probably be here long after we're gone
What's wrong
They'll probably dig it up a thousand years from now
And how
They'll probably wonder what the hell we used it for
And more
This must be the cup the king held every night
As he cried
Well maybe you should go out and write your own damn song
And move on
This band is so underrated
true
I'm really sorry to write this. Clearly you love Low, as do I, but I need help understanding this comment, because honestly I really despair to core of my soul when I read the hundreds of instances and versions of "This band is so underrated". In all seriousness the statement just breaks me. What does it even mean? What do you think it means?
For instance: Would you say that it is an expression specific to a specific generation (millennial or gen z)? Or is it something that music fans whose english is a second language, and it's just a shorthand for a kind of praise that is just being lost in translation? Because when I read a comment that states "This band is so underrated", what I glean is that the commentator somehow believes that the band themselves and the fans aren't doing enough to ensure a sufficient moving out of this shadow of underrated-tier existence!
By any measure, Low have had a fantastic career. Their work is massively critically praised. Their fanbase is huge. In the UK, where I am, the recent sad news of Mimi passing was reported in both the national newspapers and national news TV shows. This doesn't just happen to any band. They are most definitely 'rated'.
So, in your estimation (or anyone else's estimation) what exactly does a band exactly have to achieve in order to NOT be considered 'underrated'?
For instance: Is it about money? Like when Google immediately offers to tell you an artists net worth when you put them in the search engine? Is that the main reason people keep going on and on and on about somebody being underrated? Do they have to be earning Lady Gaga or Radiohead levels of earning and fame to be considered as having 'made it'? For Low to be universally 'rated', then do they need to be millionaires? Or do they need to be headlining major festivals, as opposed to being a higher headliner or middle-placed band depending on the type of festival? What happens if the band / artist in question doesn't consider that to be a true reflection of whether they're good or not? What happens if they're the kind of band / artist who loath to the core of their being people applying the dull metric of financial worth as a measurement of their art?
This is Low we're talking about! One of the most recognised coolest bands on the planet for those of us into this kind of music. A band who have had complete control of their own career narrative as working artists. They've remained 'local' and authentic, whilst being appreciated globally. Even if it was just you, me, everyone whose written a comment on this thread or any other YT thread containing Low music (hundreds of thousands of fans), and a bunch of our personal friends who totally love what Low do, then that along is enough evidence that they are absolutely 'rated'. And if you genuinely love the band then you also understand that that's all the band themselves would need to feel 'rated', because that's precisely the level of success and fame a band like Low require - nothing less and nothing more.
Low have never been and never will 'underrated', and it's just completely at odds with the reality of knowing and loving such an act to insist and agree that they are, sorry.
@@adamwhitehall9597 Spot on.

Just beautiful!
Superb song from a great album
Magical Mimi adds such vocal brilliance to this, and Alan looks seriously weird in this but also sounding cool
She also wrote it
Over and over again I listen.....
wow. so simple. so perfect.
Love this song
Being hypnotized by the male singer
He has the best expressions of any musician I've ever seen.

HERMOSO TEMA.

Holy shit love this song
Low may have more hip anti-drug songs than any other band in history.
+Brian Gillin no shit right but its good tho
What are some of their other anti drug songs?
Can we just talk about how Alan Sparhawk is gorgeous?
YES.
You’ll be missed.
plas plas plas plas !!! Larga vida a Low Joooder!!
RIP Mim
If you have it, please do not take it for granted.
Like the video. It looks like a Guy Maddin work in a way.
I liked it
Bitmeyen gece.
Sou a favor de que cada música dessa banda dure pelo menos 1h.
8 years ago..lailas lounge, malaysian band has create a song like this..you all can check it..lailas lounge-stargazer
very good
Still in their musical prime
Nice song. Reminds me of Radiohead - The Tourist
i'm still alive here, listening to this song, here's like home
7 years later and not even a million views?! :(
This song needs to be featured in an episode of Season 7 of Shameless. :-)
a part in the vocals reminds me of a radiohead song the tourist. has the same upward slide in there.
Good fall
Has even a decent musical ending.
can someone explain to me what exactly is this song about? i feel it's beautiful but I do not understand its meaning
da man was hot tho
too right.
it's just like. that expression. mocking me. and my. eee motto. iooonnns. i'm embarrassed to feel. when that's. exactly. what you had planned.
I don't speak english, can someone translate or explain this part?: "and you could always count on the 'rents to get you by"
+Juanito Escobar parents
thanks dude.
I had just heard about the death of Mimi. Such a wonderful singer gone too soon.
Why so little views...
People are stupid. Thats way.
I'm just seeing or hearing of this band and music and it's 2019
weirdest music video ive ever seen but amazing song
l love Low but this just gives me that radiohead chord change too much..maybe l should...
it's the same melody for sure. Ironic the lyrics: "maybe you should go out and write your own damn song."
... write your own damned song...
🎶🎼🎸🎤
Does anyone know any other songs similar to this?
anything from Low, most of their songs sound the same.
Yes..you listen to malaysia band lailas lounge-stargazer
Another act I saw live this year who were very good. This is the opening track from "The Invisible Way". Not their best album (Listen to "The Great Destroyer" or "Things we lost in the fire" but still far superior to the vast majority of stuff churned out by other artistes in 2013
Thank you for all Mimi
I've heard the three of them make out at some concerts. Would love to see that! I like the music as well :P
HeyHeyChey Um... not true at all. Alan (guitarist/vocalist) and Mimi are Mormons and have been married since 1992.
Hilarious;)
Reminds me of probation.
Sick of pissing in plastic cups
Tweeted @musosguide

+EnosEverything you suck at insulting.
EnosEverything thats it?
I can't tell if this song is pro or anti weed... as much as I'd like it to be pro, I think it's probably neither. Especially considering.. the video really doesn't reflect the lyrics much.. at all? Is there a hidden meaning? Help me out guys.
***** It's a simple question.
The Investigamer Probably not.
The Investigamer The cup will be here long after we're gone....
I vote for Pro. Sitting around and pondering future generations pondering a used piss cup is a total stoner move. . .
It's Pro-Cup...
first thing that i thought about is the tourist (which i always skipped tho)
Who came here after seeing tom gates book
Dis niqqa be look'en like George Bush.
whats with the kkk stuff?
Tommy Gray spooky
So...is this song about drug abuse or recycling?
yes... and what, if anything, is eternal, and are we judged by what's in our piss, or in our universal souls...yeah, cool band and song
