- In this video, I pickup a 650 RMK Demo from Outlaw Motorsports, and head to blue river to ride the deepest snow of the year with Jamie! The small bore sleds did amazing in the deep pow, and proved to be a total win as far as where we could get them!

You've really stepped it up with these videos this year. The mic'd up back and forth, the riding, banter and of course the "lunch specials." Great job Brett!
Much appreciated!
Best content on youtube from season 23-24. Amazing how well those small blocks did. Shows also the skill level of the guys behind the bars.
thank you so much!
This fell like that old saying, ' more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow' . Loving the videos dude, keep killing it
totslly
Already caught this adventure on Liam's channel, I think, nice to see the different POV. Somehow the market (influencers, press, OEMs) convinced everyone that we need big bore engines and turbos in every sled. I think it just makes for lazy riding and Jamie and Brett prove as much.
No one forcing you to buy one. Ill keep enjoying my lazy fun turbo
Only being at 4000' helps.
Take the titan out next
You know it wasn't that long ago. That a 151 with a 2 inch. Lug in an 800 engine with 135. Horsepower was a pretty big mountain sled.
And look at the chassis then.
@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754
Wasn't expecting to see you over here! Lol. We need to get together and put some miles on if we ever get snow this year!
This is what is the consumers need more of.. no bashing brands just straight up 2 bands going out riding having a great time and letting us decide what sled we would like buy our selfs to me this is the truest comparison!!
Thank you Brett and Jamie for doing this video I really enjoyed it and appreciate it .. keep up the amazing footage guys ride Har ride safe
thanks for watching!
Couldn't agree more. I've almost unsubscribed to Muskoka Freerider's channel just because of his audience and all the brand bashing. Liam (he's on the Lynx in this video) also has a great channel where there's no brand bashing. Just good vibes man🙌🙌
You guys are savage. If that doesn’t show that 95% of us don’t need big bore boosters. Sick edit. Keep ‘em coming. 🤙
It shows that when a very talented backcountry riders is on a 600 what it can do. 95 percent of people would not be able to ride much beyond the valley bottom in snow like that.
keeper pinned!!
Nope it shows if we’re
As good as them we can make a 600
Work. I’ll stick with the boost power to help where my skills lack 😂
No, it shows how good they are that I'd be stuck on my 800 more than they are on 600s.
100% man. Was just thinking the same thing!
As someone who rode a 600 144 and 155 for many years, I love them and they for sure have their place. I liked my 800 and now got an 850 for this season but if I was told I can only run 600cc class sleds for the rest of my life I wouldn’t blink and eye and would have as much fun as the next guy! Glad to see a professional actually out putting the 650 through the paces
they’re plenty capable!
Enjoying the sound of the track slapping the snow and the tunnel.... Awesome.
Cannot beat the reliability of the small block 600-650 sleds, they have always been bulletproof and a blast to ride. I think they are the most fun to ride just because you can ride them everywhere pinned and they just keep going.
I can remember a time when we all rode 600s and 700s. We were having the time of our lives. This brought back a lot of memories of me and my son. Brett, we could really see how much you enjoyed this. Once in a while, we all need to be reminded.
What a credit to the new sleds and their capability with the 600cc class motors.
little weapons!
This definitely pushed me over the fence of my first mountain sled being a 600 at 16! Great video guys
Air Turkey and Jamie are the best duo on the mountain!! 2 friends just out having a blast..JUST LIKE THE GOOD OL DAYS!! 🤘🏼
You got that right!
Deep pow days like this in the back country = a proper break in on the amazing 650. Man those sleds are sweet and just goes to show you, that a guy don't need a big sled to go out and have fun in deep snow. You'll have to pimp that 650 out similar to the sled chris burandt did for his kid last year. Great show loved it
it added a whole new level of excitement pushing past each others lines
Great Vid Brett! Awesome to see you and Jamie showing how angry them ~600cc run in the deep stuff. Cat does sound angrier and may have a edge with the 3" alpha track but always hard to tell unless you are there. Thanks for the match up!!!
they were both rippin!
Both rippin for sure! I think the Cat gets on top of the snow a little better....I've felt that way about the previous Alpha's as well over my Axys. Cat does a great job getting on top!
Love the content. Your videos are by far my favorite right now, and they keep getting better!!!
Glad you like them!
I am pretty new to sledding, and just loving learning. Glad I found your videos, the fun and good natured attitude is so infectious. Pure Canadian! The two way radios to hear you guys chatting while you ride is top notch.
These have been my favorite snowmobile videos to watch this season! You guys are ripping! Keep it going🤙
Thanks! Will do!
The 650/600 power sure makes you appreciate every little victory and helps keep the skills sharp, loving the small bore content.
Yes it does!
Very cool to see different sleds be ridden!
thx!!
Just shows these guys don’t need big motors or turbos to ride.. pure talent . Awesome content this year turkey
You got that right!
A good running 600 is hard to beat ! Good job boys , good to see Jamie in some what good shape 😅the old guy 🤠👍
haha thanks for dropping by cal!
love the vids honestly, u put so much time in for vids consistently 30 minutes long and yet still always good
Glad you like them!
Awesome, too, see the snow is getting deeper. I can't wait to get there next weekend . I remember when all we had was 600's 😂. Sleds sure have come along way .
yes they have!
Absolutely crazy what the smaller sleds can do! Its definetly a workout doing what you guys do
yesss
I've watched your videos for years this one made me subscribe. This video was so much fun to watch!! One of my favorite video's of all time!!!!! Unbelievable you guys are on 600's.
Thanks for subbing!
Nice job boys! You’ve both convinced me now to sell my boost and 9r, save a ton of money and buy a couple 600 class sleds. Manufacturers not gonna be happy with this advertisement for lower displacement sleds. Fav sled video of this season thus far, you’ve shown that skill is way more important than displacement
the thing is…i can ride the 650 at max capacity, it adds a whole new element of fun.
More crazy fun on this channel again Brett...more please!
I had my fingers crossed to see some big air on those light sleds landing in the pow.
More to come!
600 Alpha 154 , works better than I could have imagined , great display of skills ,great video .
thanks for watching
Awesome!!!! 600/650 vids are the best.
Glad you like them!
The riding skills you guys have is insane.
thanks!!
So fun with the 600s, if you’re a good rider you can go places like the 850s/ 900/turbos. You only have to work a little harder 😁 but that’s really fun actually 🤘🏻 btw, hope you go for a ride with muskoka this year too, it was fun to watch you guys together last year 🙌🏻
Totally!
You and Jamie are my favorite I’m always laughing. The food and cooking instructions reviews are so funny
Glad you like them!
These videos with you and Jamie are sick!
thx!
it was really impressive snowmobiling. Here you really see what the man handeling the sled has to say. It's not just the 850 and 900 that can play in pow🤩
gotta want it!
I absolutely love videos like this!
same
Leading the pack with the 600s was impressive! That was some gnarly riding for any snowmobile.
absolute shredders!
I love seeing the 600's! My first sled was a 2007 600 RMK that I rode for 3 years. It was a great sled and I think it made me a better rider when I finally got an 800 and now an 850. Like you said, you just can't get away with some of the mistakes like on an 850. Some day I want to have a 650 as a second sled/spring sled. They are just so much fun to throw around.
absolutely
I always have a great time riding my wife’s 146 650. Definitely lacks a little bit on the bottom end but threw some ZRP light weight parts on it and it revs up a bit quicker. Super fun
Very nice!
This is next level utube content , thanks!!!!
Glad you think so!
Luv the small cc shoot outs, its wild to see that both these machines have more hp then the old 670 with a 136 track. I think seeing this i would buy a 600 doo.
Epiphany hit today. Watching this video (I get it)
Thanks for sharing. In Revy the following week. Want dinner ( my treat Family welcome )
You and Jamie are a great team .
absolutely loving the video keep the shiny side up🤘🏽
Thank you! Will do!
*THE BEST VIDEO OF THE YEAR!!!* Hoooly shit I don't think I've ever laughed so much in a snowmobile video hahaha! The rodeo @3:40 had me ROLLIN!! Content that only Wild Turkey could make - my favorite rider out there. Thank you for this my man!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
holder to the bar!
Been scanning the comments to see if anyone has asked - but can you feel a difference in weight with the 650? Obviously it's gonna be lighter than your boost, but what about the 9R?@@turcotte16
Awesome video! With the boost, turbos, and big displacement being all the rage these days, i really enjoyed watching you guys rip the 6 hunnys. Maybe not for the sled boarders or skiers who double alot, but as a sled head who rides single i really want to test one.
it was an amazing ride experience, you learn a lot about your own ability on a smaller motor
That's just really sick badass can't get no funner then that on the little 650 and 600 badness.
such a fun day!
What a blast man badass hell yeah keep the companion going next video ask one of your Skidoo riders to get a 600 in there awesome powder day
Quite ridiculous how easy you make that look Brett. Unreal!
holder wide n hope for traction 😂
Thinking the same thing haha. He makes it look too easy!
Wow, lots of comments! Looks like snowbiker terrain. We can sidehill on our ski-compressed track. Easier for sure. Props for what you are doing here.
God damn Brett! You’re killin it this year with your content 🙌🏻 I fukkin love this! I live in Sweden and my biggest dream is to come ride in revelstoke, I’m even could see myself move to Canada and revelstoke permanently 😆 seems to be so good riding over there 😍 your channel & Muskoka are the best thing on internet 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 and ofc Caleb Kesterke🤘🏻
love to hear it!
have the same thought. Live in Norway and have to drive 5 hours across the border to Sweden, just to play on my 9R. and the conditions you have in revy
I picked my son a 2022 rmk khaos matryx slash 146 with the 650 he loves it and good part he keeps up with me on my boost
yessss
Cool seeing all different channels from all the guys you ride with,an bretts gopro didnt sound that bad honestly, i stilled enjoyed it!
glad to hear, i had to work hard in editing to get it back to tolerable haha
Those 6hundies are impressive!
Love the Jamie content!
me
too!
That was frickin awesome!
yeeww
This was awesome!! Undersledding, new sport lol
hahaha deeeeep out there
It’s either that catalyst is a wicked running sled or that older guy Jamie is a real tweaked up rider👌🏆🏆. Nice finding terrain boys 🚀🚀.
the older guy 😂😂😂😂
@@turcotte16 😂😂. He sounds like a old Ukrainian gido from the sausage capital of Alberta mundare 🤝. 🍹🍹🍹
Out here in the flat lander country, I'm on a 650 VR1 137" and don't really see the need for an 850 or boost for the kind of trail riding we do. I can easily pull 100+ mph. Good to see the 650 holds its own in a RMK too.
And a little secret, the bottom end of the 650 is all 9R parts, so you know it's going to hold up to those 10 minute WOT pulls. And, if the 650 gets boring, it shouldn't be hard to make it a 9R.
love to hear it!
I'm not at all jealous of all the snow you have. Nope, not a bit.
its insane how much of the snow that still is powder snow and not packed snow. !
Great vid. Watching your line choices on the 650 was entertaining. At about 22:10 I’d imagine you’d go high on the boost.
Always love the lunch reviews. LOL.
haha
cool sure was deep and the sleds are capable you two do make it look easy though.👍👍
Yes it was!
I’d like to see you get a 650 setup with a boondocker! I know you’d have fun on that sled!
hell yeah
KEEP GROWING!!!!
tryna!
Love outlaw they ranadomly had belt for my 1998 scrambler when i was out hunting at roche lake saved my but. T.y. outlaw!
that’s awesome!!
These collaborations are straight fire. Giving Muskoka a run for his money eh
i just love riding w my buddies man!
Them cats might be a game chager 600 ahead of turbos
Settle down 😅
haha
I could only imagine the boost fellas were wondering how in the hell you guys were getting it done awesome video brett
they were doing se head scratching!
Great vid
thanks!
i dont have access to these kind of "deep snow" there i live in Sweden, but so far, my cross-over Lynx Xterrain 600R is REALLY good deep snow sled for what it is. the 600cc sled´s are underrated imo.
And i am super rookie sled rider. this is my first winter with a modern sled. but my 4th winter snowmobiling.
Some rowdy lines in there!
yesss
Taking 600s to places most would have problems with turbos, you guys are insanely talented riders
thank you!
Awesome love the change up🤙🏼 all I got to say is poor 600s
just screamin!
So true you dont need a huge monster of a sled just need the proper guys operating it your a pro. Turcotte all the way 🤘
facts
Hit dang that Polaris was Breakin Trail - WOW
Add Turbo.Power and Rip!
haha pinned
The 650 is supposed to have the pull of the old 800 from downstairs through mid range I believe. The 900 R has the 650 crank to help throttle response. Theoretically the 650 could have some nice snap and be a good tree machine especially in the north east which has less snow and tight trees. Also easier to manhandle than more horsepower rigs like the boost. Maybe even a 146 version in the east too.
i think this sled with a 2.75 track would be a really fun ride! it does rev up quick, and feels light in the hands!
Polaris does make a 146 version but only in the KHAOS slash model at least for this year. Maybe for the 2025 release they will have a PRO version of the 146.
Very shocked with the 650 !
I am impressed with the 600s! BUT give me an 850 boost Polaris. Great video...keepem comin.
Thanks! Will do!
Jeremy would be soo proud of you if he was still around
lightened 600 are beast, i rode shorty 600sdi and 670ho for a long time before buying a rebuild every 6k miles sled lol, i still have a 670 97 for trail but it works good anywhere, need more gaz & oil but last alot more. i need to look out cause i get stuck fast with 121, we dont get that much snow in quebec 😂
lol
Would like to see some head to head comparison. Not just same old boring one rider comparison.
me with my 1992 indy 440 "small bore sleds" 600cc ... nice
hahah
Yeah Brett!
yewww
Does the quick drive come with a belt cover? Might get messy if your lunch gets to that. You guys definitely put the 600 class to the test, cool video!
haha no cover
That CARDO seams to be really good intercom, what version of it do you use?
That was a great excpedition on 600's! Curious what your fuel burn was being wide open the whole day? Probably don't need to pack extra gas for a 650 to go just as far as an 850.
fuel light was definitely on at the end of the day 😂
Wow so nice to see a deep day this year
So after a day on the 650 what’s gonna be your goto machine ?
i’m still pretty down with a 9r 155!!
Heck ya
Thank you
Welcome!
wow, crazy video content. i had an assault 600 and it was very close to the big brother 800 or 850 on the flat, but i'm very happy to see that they do very well in deep mountains too. i wonder about durability since they have to work a lot to follow 850, 9R or Turbos. how about the gas consumption vs big bore ? they sure cost a lot less
everyone was out of fuel at the end of the day, mileage is a non measure on days like this! haha
If I heard right that was a 2.6" lug track? So it probably has the original AXYS QD gearing and not the new lower QD2 gearing? What elevation were you guys riding at? Does the sled have the option to run 91 non-ethanol fuel for more power and better response? That was wicked how much POW you guys were tearing up, and in some tight steep terrain!!!!
Brett, what are you running for a head lamp?. Super jelly of this vid!. 🎉🎉
in this video i’m running the mountain lab gear x2000
Even tho its some time hard, and you need to ride perfect all the time cuz of the lack of power. well that makes it more fun, then you not always "win" and need to get better. proper fun challenges :)
Great video and editing! Looks like a riot out there.
Keep shredding and please send some white stuff to Michigan.😤
Nice
"Trying to find some trees to ride" Hits tree. 😅😅
immediately 😂
@@turcotte16probably one of your, if not the, most entertaining videos of this season! Love it!❤😂
Turkey and trash, or Turkey and panda? Great video boys
lol
the 600's leading the pack!! don't use wax paper...use parchment paper under the foil.
it. was a last minute purchase, all they had at the gas station lol
the rodeo @ 3:38 ! lol
just hanging on for the ride!
how dose this work in Canada? do you rent the sled´s or do you just buy expensive sled´s for a video? 😄
Just goes to show skill for the win. Crazy snow up there. Jamie for mayor! Lol
haha
would love to see comparaison video between Pro VS Khaos on same lenght. i heard they now share rail profile, so that would be interesting to see
see if i can get my hands on both
