Daryl Porter is underrated. I think he a chance too be 1st team all ACC. Interceptions are a misleading stat. I don't think DP2 gave up a touchdown last year.
Gary, 11 or 12 wins, this schedule is not as soft as you think in my opinion. Florida is going to be tough on the road, VT is going to better than last year, they found their QB midway through the season last year and played much better, Louisville ran circles around our D last year, FSU will be a dog fight, GT on the road with a QB that is improving. I hope you are right, but I think 9 maybe 10 is where we are at. Thanks for the show, you and Matt do a great job.
We basically won 8 games last year. You can’t make all these additions and only win 1 more game. That is failure. 10 wins minimum but 11-1 should be the goal.

I think the difference between transfers from Miami and Fsu is, FSU's transfers most of them were drafted. Should do a column on top programs with transfer draft picks. Because it will show that our transfers have been up to par.

Guys we needed BODIES when Mario first came. We got the best players that wanted to come to a losing program. UM did the best they could with what they had in place. NOBODY WANTED TO COME HERE “FREE AGENTS” etc. You guys are complaining about the guys we had. If we had played those young guys, how many games would’ve been won? Mario would be fired. No one mentions that… what if he had kept all of Manny guys… how many games would have been won? Mario would be on hot seat and we would NOT have the Top 10 classes, we’ve had last 2 seasons. Mario has to build a winning program and you need “good players” to achieve that. The transfer portal offers an opportunity to upgrade. Why not take that chance MATT? Upgrade or be fired. I agree, Mario was hired so late that I don't count his first year as his cycle. In my mind Mario is on his second full cycle this year, not his third. Same situation with the coaching staff. I don't count the first year coaching staff having gotten fired and Mario having to start over with new hires. JUST HOW I SEE IT. 🙌
One reason I give him a pass is because the type of players that Mario recruits vs the type of player that Manny recruited are night and day. Not only physical traits but more importantly the mentality. The accountability factor is night and day with Mario and Manny as well. Another reason why Manny's guys didn't do well under Mario, they couldn't handle the pressure that comes with accountability. Another reason for giving him a year one pass and not the other coaches is because Mario wasn't brought in on a 4 or 5 year contract. He was brought in on a 10 year contract with the understanding that this process is going to take time. I also get tired of the coaching carousel. I say give the man a chance because he cares about The U as much as anyone and he does have a clue as to what it's suppose to look like not only as a player but as a coach at Alabama as well. He just needs good coordinators in place to be successful. I understand the skepticism but this next year coming up could really be the start of something special. We have to at least acknowledge the fact that Miami didn't invest in the program for 20 years and now they are pumping money steadily. We should start seeing different results. 🙌

How can recruiting be night and day when we are in year 3 and max 4 or 5 players from his high school recruiting class will start. Francis, Bain, Cooper, Brown, and other. Tat is not elite recruiting. He has lived in the portal because he has done a horrible job recruiting at Miami. I don’t care what the rankings say. I am looking at on the field. How can you hold the players for not being accountable when he latterly had an assistant coaches that here hated by both players and coaches. Coaches that did not work with each other, a Coach that does not know when to take a damn knee, a coach flirting with players mom. A coach that was hired as a QB coach and never coached the QB’s. A coach that wanted to be the DC but beefed with the DC! How do you expect players to follow horrible leadership at the time. I think we both agree that we want to see less portal and more development. That being said, I think the acquisition of Cam Ward accelerated the all in win this year mentality with the portal and also being Mario's 3rd year, so he needs to start showing results. One last thing I would like to add to the conversation is we have to keep in mind the fact that Miami has been Mediocre for over 20 years now. That in itself is a huge hurdle to overcome. I think this year will be successful and the best part about it is we don't have long to wait ! #GOCANES 🙌
UF, GT, VT are 50/50 games. @ UF is early on the road. GT qb and running game are strong. VT has all kinds of production returning. USF will be tough also. L'Ville beat us, at home and we go there. And FSU is FSU. Texas made a big leap, BUT they played and lost close games season before and their defensive line was insane. I flat out cant see UM winning 10 games regular season, much less 11 or 12. That is ridiculous. Over/under 9.5. We will be under. Heck, Cal has the Pac-12 leading rusher returning, not Martinez.
If we had better coaching miami wouldve went 9-3 last year. It's on the coaching. Also Matt, Zach carpenter isn't a nice guy he has some scary eye contact. Guy looks cold blooded

Every new coach is hired late! Why does Mario get an excuse. Richt transition class was pretty damn good! Why does Mario get a pass?
