I paid £200 for this 2019 Squier by Fender Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar, minty fresh finished in Surf Green, also came with a Fender Strap and Fender Deluxe Guitar Lead.

I have just spent a month setting up my finicky 1966 Jaguar - and, to be honest that Squier sounds just as good.
Oh yes I've owned a fair few 60s Fender Jaguars
Nice find and nice video! For anyone reading this comment in 2023, NOW is a fantastic time to buy these Squier Jags because apparently they aren't moving in stores. I just scored an identical 2022 Surf Green model for $350 USD that is so fresh it still has the plastic on the pickguard and control plate. Maybe folks are prejudiced by the "Made In Indonesia" label but I plug-and-played it this week and it is an absolute gem. This one didn't even show the usual finickiness that Jags are notorious for, but even if that happens (and my Olympic White Jag falls in that category) it is more than worth tweaking it considering the bang for your buck on these models. The pickups sound shockingly good, the neck is silky smooth, and Indian Laurel plays every bit as nice as rosewood.

I actually just got new coming in the mail for $380. If a Squire is setup properly, neck shimmed, it plays and sounds nearly as good as a USA model. Good up the gr8 content from your side of the pond, rock on!
No need to shim the neck mate, the newer model Squiers have changed the neck pocket angle. Don't believe all the hipster crap on the internet 🤣
I have my Teles, Strats and Jazzmasters. I haven’t taken the plunge into the Jaguar world but I might just have to now. Sounds pretty good.
Oh the Jaguar is a totally different beast, I highly recommend trying one
Hey man, love the channel. I have the vintage modified version in sunburst. It would be cool to see what's involved in installing a hot rail or jb Jr in the bridge position since the pickups are body mounted.

Maybe the seymour duncan lil screamin demon. Same resistance as the dimarzio super distortion.
Just got the exact same Squier CV Jaguar in Surf Green a couple of weeks ago and LOVE IT! Fantastic review I agree with every point. Also love your jam - will start learning that to go along with a couple of other layered/looped jams I'm working on (and credit you when I play with friends of course!)

Any upcoing video on the FSR Purple Jazzmaster in the background? I manged to bag one a few months ago as they were going for like £300 on Andertons. Had to get one since they reminded me of the old purple J Macis Jazzmasters.

Is there a way to make the fretboard darker? Or is she so light due to the fact that she was not moisturized?
I normally use some lemon oil which does darken it a tad

@@theguitarmanifesto I've a 2017 myself and looked into adding a humbucker at bridge only to discover that the potentiometers and capacitors would have to be changed. A pair of Johnny Marr Bareknuckles single coils would be nice. Cheers!
or you can get a single coil sized humbucker like a jb jr by symore duncan
