    If the 150 kg Murakami is stomping his feet, shaking his fist, and screaming at me I’ll probably give him the white light.

      Should've been a white, red and white. Because it was a good lift, but also because then the judges lights would look like the Japanese flag

    16:50 what a joke, while watching this live I dropped the stream right there, that can't be happening, it makes me lose the interest for the sport. Press out or not, that influencing by the president of the IWF should not be allowed.

      @jason561120 Před 25 dny

      It wasn't the jury, it was the UWF President who told them to red light it. So basically their boss told them to fail it no matter what. Ridiculous.

    Get rid of the press out. There is no world where pressing is easier than snatching in one movement. These athletes still have crazy weights overhead. The petty juries are ruining the sport. Murakami 192kg good lift 💪

      @nattyfatty6.0 Před 25 dny +3

      It's worse when most of the time it's not even a press out by their own definition. But maybe somebody can argue my interpretation of the rules is incorrect

    I was glad to see Lalayan and Davoudi go beyond 250 in the jerk by a little bit. Seems that weight is something of a roadblock for lifter. Man Assad also did it in the Asians when he beat Gor. Guys snatching 215 (Gor and Lalayan) should be closer to 260 than 250 IMO. To say this was a strange session is an understatement. One guy loses an attempt for no reason (not timed out according to WH) Juries being reprimanded by IWF officials coming out of audience (yeah I know juries have their own problems). Imagine if NFL commissioner came down from stands to tell refs how to call game in American football!

    weightlifting: from the Greek that means lifting heavy weights, it's that simple. Seeing these athletes train hard lift the corresponding weight but for a detail like the elbow that they then adjust and decree as invalid??? It's like target shooting, reaching the point but canceling it because you shot with your eyes closed. hey, he lifted a huge weight, the basic definition is met!!!!!!!!
