  • I decided to welcome in the beginners in TEKKEN 8 by answering all of their noob questions and explaining how the game works. One of the main takeaways was how newer players always get caught up on focusing on the wrong things (learning advanced tactics, trying to choose top tiers for mains) instead of the most important basic things like simply BLOCKING & PUNISHING... So I demonstrated the effectiveness of simplifying your gameplay and the power of keeping it simple using the newest character Reina. Thanks for watching!

Right now on Tekken 8 I'm Vainquisher with Lili, did all of her sample combos day 1 and lately have been learning to be more offensive and land CH combos. Also I took notes of every key moves, best move to punish depending on the frame and some combos with different starters. I did my homework to leanr and improve

Those are all good points he made but the thing which separates noobs from pros is the speed of executing attacks and their reflexes which comes from years of practice. You can have all knowledge about the game but defence alone won't get you far in this game. Even with jabs, someone who is faster can outjab you, backdash, punish etc. Some lows are unseeable etc. You can see this in low ranks where someone who is faster always beats those who just turtle back and block not knowing how to punish. Same applies on higher ranks where people have at least some knowledge how to punish with their character. And on pro levels they know all this and every matchup. And in the end it all comes down to their reflexes and speed. That's how someone like Arslan is beating everyone out, just the speed and godlike reaction time. I know it's shitty advice because it takes years of practice and also some talent but that's how it is. Knowledge is one thing but making it happen it entirely different story.
