Premiership supporters could learn a lot from some European clubs and how to generate a great atmosphere? We definitely look a tired team with a very depleted injury-laden squad. We have a lot of team building to do to catch up with the teams above us in the Prem and the better teams in Europe. Just a correction about gate 7 and 1981. They didn't fall creating a domino effect. The fans were rushing outside the stadium to celebrate the victory, but the people responsible for opening the gates, never did. So the crowd from the back, not knowing what is happening, kept pushing the ones in front. In result, many of them got crushed or suffocated against the bars. What you see in the monument, is the leftover bars from that gate.

I personally would be congratulating them but of course jealous for my team and annoyed because Pao fans always talk about them being the greek football ambassador because of the '71 Wembley Champions League final that they lost to Ajax and also some other indeed great runs like the '85 semis against Liverpool or the '96 one with ajax plus some quarter finals so if it's not us i would be preferring Aek, Paok or even Aris than Pao

Thank you once again for coming to our temple. Video can't make justice of the atmosphere. The stands were almost packed 1.5h before kick off. The first goal was made by us(the fans). When we put effort to support our team in nights like this there is no opponent that can compete with us. Huge European clubs have obeyed here. Olympiacos should make this kind of night way more times. Is the kind of a huge club that people can't understand unless they come to Greece or in our stadium or being part of the club as player or manager. The pressure for success is the same as Real's or Bayern's ... Also the majority of people don't know that Olympiacos compete almost in every sport with huge successes in basketball, volleyball, water polo etc...A month ago our U19 team beat AC Milan in the final of youth league and won the first ever European title of a greek team in an UEFA's competition. Nights like these should be a norm for us but happened to be a dream. And now we want to live out the dream in our rivals ground...;)

Thogden just a note. The third Manager Sylaidopoulos was not sacked. He was there for just one game before Mendilibar arrival. He is now assistant of Mendilibar. He also won youth league with olympiacos under 19 one month ago. A huge success because it was the first European title for Greek football
