  • This was not what I was expecting when starting the car up after winter. I will get the part we need installed and get the car back on the roads , soon.

Hey, Nav. As always, love your videos. Try not to worry too much about what people think. Most of the time, they're not even thinking about someone else, just what is going on in their own life. I laughed with your little "aside." You have a good sense of humor. Oh, by the way. The throw out bearing is part of the clutch, not the transmission. An honest mistake. Lol, take it easy, JoAnn

Yah I suppose the clutch isn’t part of the transmission. In my head I always associate them together since I need to drop the trans but you’re right. Thanks for watching!

I don't know whether or not you need a clutch or a throwout bearing, but you definitely need a master and slave cylinder. Not too hard to do in an afternoon, and way, way easier than taking out the transmission. I'd do the hydraulics first, then see if you really need a clutch yet.

Like I said I need a throw out bearing for sure. I’ve been hearing it whine

Hey I recently picked up a 2010 Volkswagen CC with the 6-speed manual. It’s my first manual, and I don’t want to be yet another manual owner who never teaches other people how to drive stick. Is it okay that I’m open to teaching other people or am I taking a huge risk?

My Miata clutch was about to go out and my brother just tipped it over the edge, if I didn’t let him drive it I probably would’ve still had to fix it this year. As long as you have clutch life left and want to teach a couple people you’ll probably be fine. (I think I have a stock clutch with 120k miles on it)
