This is literally the best Spottedleaf AU MAP I've seen, no competition. Everyones' parts are gorgeous, the tone and colours are perfect and it's dark/bloody while still being gentle. Just enough has been shown of each major storybeat without being rushed at all as well. Brilliant. The way the characters interact is so great, chilling. Love that Maple and her part in this AU are shown literally once and it's horrifying and impactful. And of course I love Ashpawn. Fantastic job to everyone involved!!!!

having spottedleaf convince leafpool too be with crowfeather as a plot to hurt Firestar is a much better storyline than all of starclan just agreeing to gaslight leafpool and squirrelflight and turn on them the second the kits were born.

Not gonna lie, the reveal of Mapleshade's kits having just enough time for it to not fully click until it was too late has to be one of my favorite moments of any maps. Well done everyone who was a part!

Guys her ghost is dead
This was so great!! The emotions that you all were able to capture was so well done! You could feel the pain Spottedleaf originally had, turning into the maddening revenge that she later off got. I loved the parts with her guiding the critical points, standing next to Ashfur and Hollyleaf. And then later with Mapleshade, it was all so great!! I also really enjoyed the hair styles for them all, seemed to give them that extra push in their personalities!
I'm sorry, I'm so in love that I have to do a compliment rant for each part:
0:00 - THE DETAIL and EMOTION on Spottedleaf's face and fur is amazing!
0:13 - I love how Spotted is in the main focus, with her having an animated look while Fireheart seems blurry or more like a PMV with Sandstorm, it fits so well!
0:24 - Spotted's face when she was crying at the beat drop gave me huge chills, her emotion at the beginning of the part was amazing too!
0:35 - The unsheathing of the claws!! It's so smooth and satisfying, I CANNOT stop watching that part! I love how stern she looks in her expression too!
0:45 - Fire looks like an anime character and I adore it! Spotted's slow glare is terrifying, I love it!
0:57 - I love how Firestar's "hair" blows so smoothly in the breeze in his solo shot, and Leafkit's cheeky face is heart melting!
1:07 - I love how you can clearly see how different the sisters are in personality, Leaf's face is so kind looking, I want to hug her!
1:15 - Leaf's SMILE! It's so cute! And I just love how "motherly" Spotted looks in her expression,
1:27 - The shot of Ashfur with the stick in his mouth with Spotted is flawless! The background blew me away, and I know this was a small detail, but I love how Spotted and Ash moved forward at the same time, the synchronisation is perfect!
1:37 Spotted in the fire just looks so good, the style fits it very well, I love how stressed Hollyleaf looks beside Fire as well!
1:44 - Holly's tear is so smooth when it falls down her face! Crowfeather's expression afterwards especially is amazing!
1:49 -The backgound fits the scene to a tee and I love how smug Spotted looks when Holly darts for Ash!
1:58 - The first shot's background, shading and lighting is chilling, not to mention Spotted's Expression throughout is just chilling and perfect, and Petalkit looks especially cute during Mapleshade's reveal, when Mapleshade appears, I love how Spotted is comforting the kits who are scared of their mother, and rightly so! Maple's pounce is chilling as all hell, i love it so much!
2:09 - Maple reflected in Ash's eye looks perfect here! The transition is so smooth too! Fire's expression towards Sand made me gasp out loud too! The shading/lighting at the last shot is heart stopping!
2:23 - The shot of the blood dripping down is horrifying and the background goes perfectly with it, Fire and Sand's dead bodies, especially their cloudy eyes could make anyone shiver! Very well done!
2:31 - The bright red moon along with how small Spotted looks compared to it is just so haunting! The clouds moving towards it just adds to the horror!
2:34 - I love how smooth the ear turn was, the fur spiking up with it was a very nice touch, the way her outline turns red at the end was just perfect too!
2:43 - I'm sorry, but this style made my jaw drop!! Especially that last pose, the way the moon just fits in between her ears is just so satisfying too, those eyes are staring into my soul, i swear!

Ok time for a legit comment. The way it goes from just so sad to sPIRALING INTO ABSOLUTE CHAOS IS AWESOME OK?? And how ahe lipsyncs along with Ashfur? I’m dying here this is awesomeeeeee
Also i’ve always had a headcannon that Hollyleaf was kinda posessed at the Gathering so this ties in PERFECTLY with that. This is my second favorite evil Spottedleaf MAP i’ve seen, and that’s just coz Cabinet man is an epic hecking song. I can tell im definitely gonna come back to this MAP a lot!!!! Great job to every single fricking person who participated in this. 👌

Watching Ashfur being unfairly wronged makes much more sense other than taking over StarClan just because his ex-girlfriend-niece whatever wanted to be with someone who wasn’t related hopefully :)

I absolutely love how consistent everyone's style was to this map. The flow of it is chilling and amazing. One of my favorite maps by far.
i feel like the erins should have made spottedleaf more of a character like this rather than somebody who’s just perfect..like-she loved firestar, and you think she would’ve taken her jealousy of sandstorm out on their kits, something she could have had with him instead? but AMAZING map! i loved this

I thought I recognised the singer, but it didn't sound like Evanescence, only just realised it was just the lead singer of Evanescence lol.

The fact that Spottedleaf isn’t portrayed as a good guy makes me so happy. It’s not healthy to be obsessed and rely on someone. I’m glad it’s not like Mapleshade maps where she is painted as a good guy for doing horrible things. They got what was coming to them!
Oh my goodness. Everyone did such an awesome job! Every part was so gorgeous and emotional. Everyone just captures the tone of the song and story so perfectly. And that ending. That. Ending. Unexpected and amazing!
This came up after I watched a different au map with evil silverstream called Make Girls Cry and now I'm headcanoning that they take place in the same universe. Thunderclan really going through it thanks to Firestars and Greystripes exes.

I love how the lineart changed at the end! And WOW did not expect her to kill Fireyboi at the end, holy cow! Expected the Sandstorm tho XD this may be one of the best evil character AUs of all time. Genius.

I understand Spottedleaf, she is my fav cat in whole warrior cats series, she deserves have second chance to alive and have happy life, and also begin loved by fans like everycat
How I took this:
Firepaw grieves for Spottedleaf and Sandpaw comforts him. Spottedleaf is not happy about that.
She begins to stalk him, watching him.
She sees his kits and is unhappy. She begins to manipulate Leafpool in to running away. She convinces ashfur to do the fire scene.
Hollyleaf reveals the secret and then Spottedleaf gets her to kill Ashfur.
Ashfut is passed and threatens Mapleshades kits, getting Mapleshade to kill Ashfur.
Spottedleaf kills Sandstorm and Firestar in a jelous rage.
Her spirit joins the dark forest
Actually I think Ashfur doesn't threaten Mapleshade's kits, but Spottedleaf is manipulating Mapleshade with the kits and tells her to attack Ashfur
beautiful, that's how I even imagine SpottedLeaf's voice in this song. I love it, and I feel really sorry for SpottedLeaf because it's my second favorite character after Cinderpelt... I loved her and she left...❤

@@jbingbong I believe I saw somewhere that Spottedleaf used Mapleshade’s kits as a sort of blackmail and had Maple do what she was told so her kits wouldn’t be hurt in the process
At the start, Spottedleaf dies, and we see Fireheart mourning her death. Spotted is sad too, but becomes angry when she sees Fireheart falling in love with Sandstorm. Spotted makes up a plan in the following scenes. Sand has Squirrelkit and Leafkit, and they grow up. Spotted talks to Leaf and manipulates her into falling for Crowfeather, causing Holly, Jay, and Lion to be born. Then comes the imfamous fire scene, which Spotted prob encouraged Ashfur to do. Hollyleaf then is encouraged by Spotted to tell everyone about her parentage and kill Ash. Ash is angry at Spotted, but Spotted lets Mapleshade to kill him. She somehow captures Fire, and uses him to get Sand to come rescue him. She kills both of them, and becomes a dark forest cat.

@@gracewisnosky6903 & @TheCandyBar If I understood well, Spottedleaf died as the same way as the books (with Firepaw in love with her) and begins to be jalous of Sandstorm when Fireheart/Firestar falls in love with her. She felt betrayed and began to try to
get revenge on the two others cats and detroy all the family they made. She began with Leafpool, she push her to not respect the medicine cat code (do not have a companion nor kittens) and run away with her love (Crowfeather), that what Leafpool do. [But due to the badger attack, Leafpool decided to left Crowfeather to stay with her clan and stay a medicine cat, but after a several time, she discovered that she waited kittens from Crowfeather and (due to the medecine cat code) asked her sister, Squirrelflight, to take them and rose them up like they were hers. The three littles kittens (Lionblaze/Jayfeather/Hollyleaf) didn't knew who was really their mother.] Spottedleaf seemed to have provoqued the fire that has push Squirrelflight to reveal to Ashfur that they weren't hers but her sister's, Hollyleaf feeled betrayed and a traitor and decided to reveal all the truth at the Gathering but first, she killed Ashfur for not revealing the secret before her, she was push by Spottedleaf. When Ashfur became a Starclan member, he finds Spottedleaf to discuss (certainly about the fact that he is dead because of her), but Spottedleaf reveal the three kitten of Mapleshade (one of the most dangerous Dark Forest member, who have a common point with Spottedlead story) and the cat kills a second time Ashfur so... he can't reveal anything? After, I think that Spottedleaf has ask Firestar to choose between Sandstorm and her and he choose Sandstorm over her so, angry, Spottedleaf killed the two of them and get her revenge. The cruelty she displayed caused her to become a Dark Forest member for ever.
I think it's what the AU tells but I'm not sure for all the events soooo... take what you want.

Okay I read AU late xD I was just like wait... she was behind all this what?? Just goes to show that anyone can snap. I remember it wasn't until like, "The Last Hope" that I realized that she and Fire had a thing for each other lmao. I just thought he thought she smelled nice.
Either way, beautiful animation. Everyone did so well! I know it was a MAP and the styles changed but it was so seamless that I didn't really notice any jarringly different style changes.

Probably not intentional or in the script but I like to think spotted used Mapleshade to kill ashfur so that Ash had no way to warn any of the other cats about what Spotted was doing. He was the only cat to be seen in starclan. So idk about everyone else but if I had shown myself to a cat moments before he died (which it seemed like she did. Stamding above him in the scene where holly was killing him) and he showed up? I'd wanna silence the obstacle too. Makes things run smoother.

Idk if anyone said this but the part 2:08 it shows that spottedleaf has a paw on one of maple shade kits head. I feel like she is using maple shade kit as like a tool to control maple? Like holy cow she is threatening maple like “if you don’t do it I can and will kill off one or maybe all your kits” that is so evil. Anyways THIS MAP IS AMAZING!
