Was not expecting the Electric Guitar playing from Rodrigo, but it brought an amazing texture to the sound.
I'm so thankful for my Spanish teacher in High School for playing them during class and introducing me to such incredible music. Still love them to this day! Anybody have a similar experience?
Not exactly my experience, but I heard similar to yours, of teachers, especially art, music teachers in the states who love these guys and introduce their students to their music, which is so cool.

There is so much depth and complexity to their songs even though it is just 2 people playing guitars - amazing!
...and an entire orchestral backing track lol. Personally a fan of the more stripped back sound but this is cool too
@@herb_2 I'm glad someone called that out. It was distracting me too. Too much of it lies right in the frequency range of her playing and the subtlety of her rhythms and harmonies is muddied into a less distinctive recognizable sound.

First time I ever heard these two I was stuck in traffic on the DC Beltway and they played an acoustic version of Stairway to Heaven! Had NO idea who it was but it kicked ass! 20 years ago been a BIG fan ever since 😅

They are so good, I like how she makes it sound like they have a drummer. I remember watching them start off online with Metallica covers!
That's the point of a *rhythm* guitarist, imo.
Hold down the groove. If you're a rhythm guitarist and you're just pedaling the chord like a bored bassist - try harder.
I love the variety of percussive styles she uses, seems self taught!

Amazing...so intense! I was able to attend guitar fest at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Illinois, in Champaign Illinois. They blew us away! 9-8-23
