I love wallpaper. I was recently forced to remodel the kitchen in my condo due to water damage from another unit. When I asked for wallpaper to be replaced the contractor rolled his eyes at me and I was informed NO ONE uses wallpaper anymore. But I still love it.
This actually made me tear up. Just thinking about all the conversations, laughter and sadness that went through the halls of this home. The music that filled it in the late 1800's early 1900's... This was a place that someone called home, and made many memories and now it lies in decay. It's a very haunting house. Great video and soundtrack.
And thus began the fans efforts to gofundme enough money for Dan, Will and Rick to restore and live here. Spin-Off series to follow the restoration process while they drink beer, laugh and scare each other senseless trying to figure out the noises they hear. I'm in!

My god that's the biggest attic I've ever seen in my life. You could probably install FOUR bedrooms in the attic alone. Sad that this mansion will probably never be restored. It's absolutely gorgeous.

COOL or SAD Story About This Place...... I used to cut the grass at this mansion when I was a young teenager! The head nurse made sure we got plenty of cold lemonade...... The sad or creepy part is, I was sent to the basement by the maintenance man for a chainsaw file that was on a workbench..... While down there, I saw what must have been the first kitchen in the house, It had an old stove that was heated by a fireplace and some old pots hung from the ceiling or kettles?.... I looked all around the cool old basement till I was stopped in my tracks by Chains hanging from a beam and Chains with Leg Irons on them that were embedded into the stonewall foundation!!! .... Was it for slaves, for freaky sex?, who knows but I never went down there again!! ..... When I asked the Maintenance man, he just said, " What Do You Think, The House Was Here Before The Civil War" ..... Yes, there are graves on the property, I remember 3 or 4 stones and 5 or 6 markers.
Went here last night. One of the scariest experiences of my life . Me and 3 of my buddies. We heard a voice so clear near the kitchen area. I flipped out. We calmly left the building and then saw a door close down the hallway. Left a lingering feeling with all of us on the way home. DO NOT EXPLORE HERE AT NIGHT. Unless you’ve got some brass balls and are willing to be ready for anything to happen.

Possibly a safety hazard in there or maybe if you wanna get scary there was another person (like a squatter who understandably would be scared of hearing strangers downstairs) who is in there and blocked it off so Dan couldn't follow. He DID hear footsteps (squatter trying to check them out, get their stuff together and find a place to hide) and then a loud thud (moving something to block the door), so the possibility of someone in there has some audio evidence.

Weird sounds/voices (better with headphones): 5:00 Voice saying "Dan" probably Will's voice 7:09 Chirp like noise from inside the mansion 8:11 Something walking on top 8:55 Female voice 11:18 Deep male voice 12:43 Weird electric voice following Will's almost immediately 15:35 Sounds like a harmonica being played 20:29 Clear female scream from inside the mansion 24:47 Male voice whispering "guys" Im pretty sure you were everything but alone in there, absolutely amazing video.
All right let's do this with headphones. Woman's voice at 5:01- she says, "Yeah." not "Dan." Chirp at 7:09- that's a bird. I hear the same noise at 7:16. Walking at 8:11- I don't hear walking. All I hear are thumping sounds. Woman's voice at 8:55- I definitely hear her. She's saying something with either 3 words or 3 syllables but I can't make it out. Edit: never mind I listened to it harder and now I think the last word that she says is, "baby?" She's asking a question. Edit: Ok I listened to it even harder and I think she's saying, "Have you baby?" I know that doesn't make sense but it's the best I can do. Man at 11:18- that seems like a grunt/moan to me. It sort of doesn't sound human either. Electric voice at 12:43- I didn't hear it. I really tried, too. I went back to it several times and I didn't hear it. I'm not saying you're wrong; I'm just saying that I didn't hear it. Harmonica at 15:35- That could be a harmonica or a train. It sorta sounds like it could be either. Woman's scream at 20:29- I heard it. And it was pretty scary. What happened to her to make her scream that loud? I also heard someone mention that a man screamed at 20:36. I heard that too. His scream wasn't as scary. It sounded more like the sound you'd make if someone walked up behind you and surprised you. Man saying "guys" at 24:57- I hear it but it's very faint. It MIGHT be Will saying something though.
Buzzing Bark I really liked his trip out to point pleasant and the mothman TNT domes...very good quality, he could do an intro to the Walking Dead! or his trip to the ghost town that was shut down from lead contamination, I really like his style and the dead mall series is great also, but his dirty rooms with Rick and Will has me in hysterical laughing fits, especially when Rick plays up and eats soap!! lol
Honey Willow This is his day job, this is just a small part of what he does and was for a bit of fun! If you dont like it, why watch it? instead of bitching go get a camera and do a better job, if you're able to.
After going and reading the history of this place, I cannot believe it sits abandoned. Over 6 million was spent on restoring this mansion in the 1960's adding air conditioning, repairing heating, and refurbishing many things. To see it look this way right now is beyond sad. A truly gorgeous mansion left to rot 🙁
that place seems like a maze. I get the feeling it was a much smaller house at first but they kept adding on over time. that is the way the house i grew up in was. It was originally a 2 room farm house from the late 1800s then they added on to it in the early 1900s and again a few more times over the century. the place was in bad shape when we moved in in the late 80s but over the years with some hard work we got it looking pretty great. our house wasn't nearly as big, only about 4800 sq feet and a half acre lot but it was very maze like because of the different additions over the years.
My parents used to own a house in Switzerland that was VERY old. There was a shed in the back yard and I could tell I was the first in decades to enter. It had so much dust that a massive cloud oozed out when I managed to get the door open. The interior looked like a scene from a horror film with VERY old farm equipment everywhere. Although in a large neighborhood, I suspect a farmer used to own it because it had stuff used to cut wheat. When's the last time you saw an actual scythe? I saw one. I should have taken it but how do I get something like that declared at customs, LOL.
Very sad that so much superior craftsmanship went into that opulent mansion and so much could be saved but it'll probably get burned down. All that carved mahogany, etc. As things like this get destroyed we replace it with what? Dollar General stores and cheaply mass produced homes.
I love that you take the time to appreciate the craftsmanship in these places. I think that's part of why I like your channel so much. It isn't just a walk through of a destroyed place, you see and point out more than that.
It's criminal that he doesn't even have 500,000 subscribers. He should be at the 5 million mark by now. His exploration videos are still some of THE best I've seen on any website, not just CZcams. His only competition I think would be theunknowncameraman. But that guy doesn't put any narration in his videos. I'd rather watch him or Dan than Pewdiepie.
I still come back to watch this every now and then so I can cry about how Baltimore left this beautiful piece of history to rot. There isn't to many places left with this type of handmade architecture. So beautiful.
If I had the ability to restore this beautiful mansion, I would do it in a heartbeat. You just don't see craftsmanship like that in homes anymore. I agree with you, Dan, it's a real shame the house has been neglected and allowed to rot.
I grew up in a large 19th century farm house. These homes fascinate me beyond words. Although incredibly sad to see one in such a sad state of disrepair, you can still appreciate what incredible craftsmanship, vision and beauty went into building it.
Right at around 9:05 before Fan says 'I keep hearing people talking' you can hear a woman's voice. Wow this place is amazing!! Heard whispering here and there all the way through it.
I have an old freestanding mantle I picked up at a yard sale that looks similar to the one you first show (but obviously a cheaply made smaller version) that has a secret sliding door behind the center panel.
It's always sad to see these magnificent old places wasting away, and infuriating to see how little respect the taggers, the vandals, & the copper thieves have for them.
I’ve been to this place. An old woman lives upstairs the the left (looking from the outside) room. When we do go there, my friends and I walk in and yell “were just here to explore and mean no harm” and she doesn’t bother us. But a few of my other friends have been chased out of the mansion.
Dan, for you I will watch a whole five minute ad for lip plumpers. Because you're content is worth it. I'm totally willing to rent your work as well. Much love. Much respect.
Such a waste to let a great mansion like that rot and fall apart and those damn kids and their graffiti! Being such an old place I can believe there's alot of restless spirits roaming around! Great video guys, I love it when you and Will collaborate on projects! You guys have so much fun and the shit you say to each other is hilarious! Keep these quality videos coming !
Such a shame this humongous beautiful place has to rot away. It enormously big. I love it. Can just imagine how it looked when lived in. All those rooms, and enormously big rooms. My kind of place. That should of never, ever went to ruins. Should of been refurbished. That spirit or sound they keep hearing is probably the socialite that lived there roaming the place. Someone is roaming around. Would love to live there. Wow! You guys did a great job of taking your time going through it. Thank you so much for the tour. It was amazing.
These old places are so amazing, the quality and craftsmanship, this seems magical some how. Even falling apart and decaying this mansion looks absolutely stunning.
Such a massive Mansion. Epic Dan. All I can think of is what it must have been like to live there. Its ashame this has been left to ruin. Wish it could be restored. Thanks for a great video.
DVincentW At 10:41 when he pans up the stairs you can hear a woman with like a British accent say what sounds like "Get out of here". There are so many things I heard that were out of place. Even a piano at one part.
You hear woman's voice quite a few times. Some of the stuff that people are reporting are probably just static and general noise, but there's a few instances where it sounds like there's a woman in another room casually chatting. Like at 26:06. Like, it legit sounds like there's a woman down stairs chatting.

11:18 Deep male voice
12:43 Weird electric voice following Will's almost immediately
15:35 Sounds like a harmonica being played
20:29 Clear female scream from inside the mansion
24:47 Male voice whispering "guys"
Im pretty sure you were everything but alone in there, absolutely amazing video.
I don't hear the electric voice, I think it is just the floor boards creaking.
I'm hearing a woman saying things like at 7:14 "I don't want you in here!" so I agree that that's probably Will.
At 20:36 a male scream too.
All right let's do this with headphones.
Woman's voice at 5:01- she says, "Yeah." not "Dan."
Chirp at 7:09- that's a bird.
Lisa Chiappetti i heard “how are you baby?” But she says it super fast
So sad that it’s gone now. Glad Dan has it documented so it can be remembered. This footage is priceless.
Can you imagine the view from the turret after a heavy snow? Amazing
Kinda drunk off of Whiskey with nothing to do but then i notice a Dan Bell video ☺ no more boredom!
Another great piece of work Dan, you truly are an inspiration to many small film makers such as myself, thank you.
hope you have great success, people in this field deserve it!
Buzzing Bark I really liked his trip out to point pleasant and the mothman TNT domes...very good quality, he could do an intro to the Walking Dead! or his trip to the ghost town that was shut down from lead contamination, I really like his style and the dead mall series is great also, but his dirty rooms with Rick and Will has me in hysterical laughing fits, especially when Rick plays up and eats soap!! lol
I heard yeah. It was female.
Honey Willow This is his day job, this is just a small part of what he does and was for a bit of fun! If you dont like it, why watch it? instead of bitching go get a camera and do a better job, if you're able to.
Alien_Industries well said👍👍👍
Your choice of music/soundtrack is, once again excellent, Mr Bell ☺
Kedge Whiteeye as always!
Love all your videos, they’re so high quality, terrifying, fascinating.
that place seems like a maze.
EVP's 6:37 something whispered, 8:54 woman's voice, 11:18 strange guttural sound, 20:27 scream, 25:25 woman "here's my blood"
You're heading things.
7:02....is anyone there
@@dot2562Wow your ears seriously
@ 8:55 a woman's voice saying Henry
@ 25:26 woman's voice " here's my blood "
I love that you take the time to appreciate the craftsmanship in these places. I think that's part of why I like your channel so much. It isn't just a walk through of a destroyed place, you see and point out more than that.
I rarely ever like videos but Dan as a picky CZcams watcher you deserve every like I can give
Dan bell getting excited over wallpaper is the best thing I’ve seen all week
What I would give to see that place at its peak. It's so stunning.. if I had the money I'd be starting the restoration yesterday
DAN I LOVE YOU!!!
Too Sweet
I grew up in a large 19th century farm house. These homes fascinate me beyond words. Although incredibly sad to see one in such a sad state of disrepair, you can still appreciate what incredible craftsmanship, vision and beauty went into building it.
I really want to know what's behind that locked door
Nothing much, he went back with rick at night in the latest video he just put up and got into it....
Just your normal satanic shit
skeleton key
Great video! And amazing house!
Right at around 9:05 before Fan says 'I keep hearing people talking' you can hear a woman's voice. Wow this place is amazing!! Heard whispering here and there all the way through it.
I wouldn't have viewed this if it hadn't burned today. 10-30-23
Thanks for showin us Dan!
🤠👍
That Cardinal was determined to get on CZcams.
Not only the Northern Cardinal, but the Killdeer, Northern Flicker, and Carolina Wren as well.
I loved the turret and the blue wallpaper!! Just so amazing 😊 great work as always Dan and Will!!
Another enjoyable episode. Thanks so much. It is sad to see such a beautiful building end up like this! Darn I wanted to know whats behind door #66.
Mary Jacobs is buried alongside her husband in Green Mount Cemetery. So if there are graves on the property they don't include their's.
She's shown on Find-a-Grave.
I have an old freestanding mantle I picked up at a yard sale that looks similar to the one you first show (but obviously a cheaply made smaller version) that has a secret sliding door behind the center panel.
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you👍🏼
It's always sad to see these magnificent old places wasting away, and infuriating to see how little respect the taggers, the vandals, & the copper thieves have for them.
That's just ridiculous to let such a beautiful building fall apart like that! Excellent video! Thanks for sharing!
It's a shame all that beautiful wood is covered in white paint. Thanx guys!
Keep making these i miss them! So good and beautifully shot
Love waking up to a new Dan Bell video!
there's so much high grade reclaimable material in these old buildings and they are just left to rot away. it's so sad :(
Im watching, this place is awesome, a beautiful piece of architecture. Definitely guilded
The amount of work you put into your editing is pure art. Thank you!!
this video made me cry. just one room from that house, just one banister, i would love it and squeeze it and so appreciate it.
Thanks to both of you for showing us a bit of history. As always stay safe
So beautiful......would love to have lived there back in the day. Thanks Dan ❤️
What a Great video Dan!! That mansion was massive!! It kept going and going and going!
Would love to have seen it in its heyday.
I love how the ghost says “please be quite” at 25:25
Will's face when you said, "and I'll read"....priceless. Thanks again.
This was incredibly fascinating! It's a shame to see such a beautifully designed home rotting away. Thanks, Dan!
Really love the creepy music at beginning has like terminator vibes from 1984 movie
Thank you Dan for the tour that house is absolutely breathtaking
I’ve been to this place. An old woman lives upstairs the the left (looking from the outside) room. When we do go there, my friends and I walk in and yell “were just here to explore and mean no harm” and she doesn’t bother us. But a few of my other friends have been chased out of the mansion.
Hot damn! I figured Dan stopped doing abandoned videos, I subscribed to him for them but loved any other series he made
I want to live here too... even in decay, it's breathtaking..
Dan, for you I will watch a whole five minute ad for lip plumpers. Because you're content is worth it. I'm totally willing to rent your work as well. Much love. Much respect.
Needed this! Very stressful week coming up and your videos always mellow me out
Female voice at 25:24
Grant's Lawn are we sure it wasn't Will talking?
I'm not sure which is scarier, my lawn or what I think she is saying at 25:24. Which is, "He wants . . . blood!"
yes we hear it, use HP
Such a waste to let a great mansion like that rot and fall apart and those damn kids and their graffiti! Being such an old place I can believe there's alot of restless spirits roaming around! Great video guys, I love it when you and Will collaborate on projects! You guys have so much fun and the shit you say to each other is hilarious! Keep these quality videos coming !
Lee Machado I agree that they need to be preserved but those things cost millions to restore
8:55-9:00 you can hear a woman saying something!!
Sande Bashaw omg yeah and 25:25... Thanks for noticing!
15:35 sounds like an accordion or something...
Crazy. I can hear whispering too in the video at some points.
We want more Haunted/Abandon films, Please. Great video.
Yes.This!!!!!!! This is where you shine Dan. This is your genre. You were born with this talent. Thank you for giving many of us something we truly enjoy watching. You are the reporter and documenter of the prior century's institutions heavy heave and long final exhale. We get to walk through worn and neglected places, once full of life, where only faint echoes of that past world remain. Can you imagine the grand dinner parties that were had in front of that intricately carved mantle? I heart you Dan Bell. By the way folks please become a patreon of this guy. Please.
Wow a lot of thought went into the construction when building this old house beautiful :)
I am with you on this Dan it is BREATHTAKING! I love history and I can’t imagine the stories this beautiful home had to tell. Shameful these gems have been left to time and decay.😥💋
Burned last night ☹
Thank you Dan, glad I got to see it up close through your channel
Thats insane!
Such a beautiful place.
Great video as always Dan :)
