- “Alien: Romulus” takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. The film stars Cailee Spaeny (“Civil War”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (“Evil Dead,” “Don’t Breathe”) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (“Don’t Breathe 2”) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. “Alien: Romulus” is produced by Ridley Scott (“Napoleon”), who directed the original “Alien” and produced and directed the series’ entries “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant,” Michael Pruss (“Boston Strangler”), and Walter Hill (“Alien”), with Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (“Charlie’s Angels”), Brent O’Connor (“Bullet Train”), and Tom Moran (“Unstoppable”) serving as executive producers.

I was really hoping for a movie connecting Covenant with Alien, now it looks like we'll never get that missing piece.

Does anyone else have the _Alien: Isolation_ feeling upon watching the trailer? The derelict space station orbiting a planet, messy hallways to run through, flying debris hitting the station, and a swarm of creatures killing the visitors one by one... I can't wait to watch the movie. 😀
No stupid jokes, no music out of context, no "aMeRikn PRiDeE", good starting point.
I’m not gonna lie, seeing full on practical effects with animatronics in an age where cgi dominates actually has me excited. CGI creatures nowadays are so incredibly photorealistic and I love it, but seeing what appears to be a real, tangible Xenomorph has me interested.
Good vfx are invisible. Don’t be another shill , search the no vfx are just invisible vfx series on CZcams if you think this trailer is using practical any thing.
The practical xenomorph looks awesome. Only issue was that during the face hugger on that British guy's face it looked very wobbly and obviously a plastic mold. Hopefully this is good!
Let's hope the story matches the aesthetics, but yes, it's a breathe of fresh air to see more conventional visual effects, instead of another movie smeared over by cgi.
Yup, a real xenonorph, they’re real

An Alien movie is only as good as its human characters.
Those human characters are way too young for alien movie.
And androids and cat ☝
No actual humans were cast in this film though the actors were tasked to portray humans (not possible)
The cast is young and they showed half of the fates of the cast. Like, why should I even care at this point? Everything shown just makes me feel like I wish it was on NETFLIX. So I can just watch it in my couch and forget about it
I believe this is not a movie created to please the fan base, but to try to enlarge it. It catches more of the vibe of the recent game of Alien, you can see it by the trailer ambience and the presumably lack of a decent lore.
That portable “XRay Device” is bloody awesome
