Great video! After almost a 20 year hiatus from knitting (while I quilted, I saw a small dishcloth pattern with lady bug in it. Thought I'd just make it and then quit knitting again. Joke's on me! Still knitting and quilting. Had a stroke and restarted counted cross stitch for the handwork fix (to replace serious hand quilting addiction). Still struggling with left hand paralysis and am so inspired to keep trying. Just lack of time for everything. Took me 1.5 years to start quilting again. That was 6 years ago; a new normal. I know TMI but maybe someone will be inspired to keep trying! Thanks for listening!
I use to knit all the time. I made many knitted and crocheted sweaters, hats and scarves for me and my children. I haven’t knitted for about 20 yrs. You inspire me to try a new project. I love watching you and seeing all of your projects.
It’s so funny every time you show another yarn I love it. Each one.
Girl meets Yarn is an amazing podcast and she recently moved to Texas. Another Texas podcaster and indie dyer is The Suburban Stitcher.
Pom poms are super easy to make. You should try it. I'm sure there would be a CZcams video showing how. Make sure you have Rob model his cap. Take a picture so we can see how it looks.
On the crochet item you can use an envelope border instead of having to weave in the ends if you prefer.
I crochet and love the cardigan. The colors look great together.
I think you would like sari norlund's designs. One problem I've found is that the podcasters I like all live in Scandinavia or Canada. Sweater not suited for Texas unless you work in a meat packing facility😅 I really enjoy watching Knitting Traditions, Veronika Lindberg(check out her cinema sweater), selmaknits, and Knitting a Good Yarn podcast. The last channel are 2 young women who really knit more hip designs and are pretty prolific. Waxahachie, south of Dallas has a wonderful knit shop, ewe to yarn. They hand dye beautiful yarn. Homestead village near waco is a weaving shop with some lovely hands dyed yarns too. I haven't done any cruises stitch in 6 months since I started knitting. Your sweater came out perfectly. ❤ ❤❤
If you want to knit a really nice pair f socks, try Must Stash. Stacie and her crew are great and sooo talented. You can have a matching pair of socks in so many great color ways.
One Winter I knitted a scarf when I was 13-14 yrs old, my 1st project. I enjoyed it so much ... and I didn't know how Long to make it, so when I stopped & put it on around my neck it went almost down to my knees! LOL I was making it for an Aunt. It was very long.
I can't stop thinking about that gorgeous interchangeable needle set!😂
Some knitting ppl I enjoy watching: Maressa made, youngfolk knits, girl meets yarn, stitches and starlight or is it starlight and stitches? One of the two 😂 plus way more I can’t think of right now
Oh goody - Elizabeth Ann is on the knitting podcast wagon! Been watching your flosstube videos for some time, but really enjoyed this knitting one too! Why is it so hard to not do ALL the crafts?? Totally enjoy all the crafts you do, too! 😁
What a wonderfully fun video. My daughter and I took a knitting class a few years ago….my daughter took off like a rocket and is still knitting. I on the other hand will just stick to crocheting, quilting, and cross stitching. I got a few good ideas for birthday and Christmas presents for my daughter thanks to this video.
Loved your first Knitting video! Knitting and cross stitch are my two favorite crafts. I dabble at sewing some as well, so I appreciate all your content! I loved that you explained about the interchangeable needles. You may have viewers who are new to knitting and those details would be really helpful. I’m an experienced knitter, and I still found them helpful. There are so many sets of interchangeable needles, so hearing about specific sets is great! Thanks so much for sharing your time and talent!
I have not knitted in about 10 years now with wips in my closet. I enjoyed learning about the new yarns and I am with you on anything variegated. Love your sweater!
Yes, please! I’m a cross stitcher and have learning to knit on my bucket list!
Let’s face it. ElizabethAnnCan. Period. 😍
You are adorable Liz. Love your knitting video as much as your floss tube. All your projects are amazing. I love love your sweater. Have a wonderful week
✋🏻Me, me, I’m a cross stitcher who is interested in knitting. I enjoyed your explaining things that knitters already know…but I didn’t! I tried knitting about 10 years ago & loved it. Made several wash cloths then flunked out of advanced knitting😂 I’m ready to try again. ❤
I was delighted that you are from Cedar Park. I live in Leander and taught at the local schools. I taught 2nd grade at Giddens, Mason, and Whitehouse. I cross stitch, quilt, crochet and knit. I enjoy your videos. You’re young and energetic. ❤️❤️❤️
Shelley, there is a cross stitch group that meets at Rosa’s Mexican Cafe on 1431 in Cedar Park. We meet every Friday starting at 11. Come check us out some Friday. We are a friendly, welcoming group. Liz joins us some Fridays and there are other retired teachers among us.
Oh no!!! 🤣I am a cross stitcher, quilter, painter and crafter. I have always wanted to learn to knit a pair of socks!!! Can’t wait for your lesson on knitting!!!
Beautiful sweater. Love the beanie too! My favorite crochet hooks were always Susan Bates because the hook was flat. Beautiful cardigan. I usually do a crochet swatch.
Thank you for this lovely video. I have watched your videos on cross stitch and quilting which I also love. Your enthusiasm for craft is so infectious and always makes me feel happy. Thanks again and can’t wait for more knitting in the future.
Oh Liz, all that yarn is gorgeous! I cross stitch & have knit a little bit. I would love some tutorial from you . Your are amazing at all you do. Your projects are perfect! All that yarn is so addicting!! I love collecting “good” yarn & floss! Thanks for sharing. Love, love, love the knitting.
Liz, enjoyed your first video on knitting. I don't think there is anything that you can't do. What a talent.
Here are 2 knitting CZcams videos that I watch and really enjoy.
1. The Bakery Bears
2. Needles at the ready
You mentioned that you wanted suggestions so thought I would give you mine. Thanks again for starting a knitting video. Know I will add you to my list of favorites❤
Yes, I would enjoy a knitting tutorial. I can crochet and want to knit too. Looking forward to it. The boyfriend scarf, 😍.
Hola from San Antonio! How about calling it KnitTube? You can totally start a trend and it’s so much more clever of a name than what all the knitting videos call themselves 😊
I’m definitely here for whatever ElizabethAnnCan______________ ( Fill in the blank. )
I have not knit in about 30 years, but recently purchased some sock weight yarn after watching yet another The Crazy Sock Lady video. So, I have the yarn, but after moving my needles are in storage and my brother put everything into the storage locker willy-nilly ( Men! How hard is it to put like things together when everything is clearly labeled? ), so I’ll be purchasing a new set. ( For the love of all things crafty somebody stop me! 🙄🙄🙄 )
You’ve crossed stitched, so I’ve crossed stitched. You’ve quilted, so I’ve quilted. Now I’m knitting, but I feel that have warn you that I never learned to crochet, so if you intend to crochet something utterly fabulous I’m going to require a “How To Crochet” video.
😂😂😂 No, I’m absolutely serious.
I’m in for all the crafty goodness with your family, designer friends, and your cats, but if ElizabethAnnCanSkyDive I’ll just be a spectator from the sidelines!
I’m off to investigate your Ravelry account. Why do suspect that this will be another rabbit hole … that I will absolutely adore? 🥰🥰🥰
Here I go!
I am LOVING the colours in that boyfriend scarf. I will definitely need to check out Hedgehog fibres
Fabulous video of course bc it's talented you. The colors you chose for your striped sweater play well with each other. Looking forward to your knitting videos. Yes Elizabeth Ann can knit...and so much more.
I can’t believe it I found the blanket pattern also and purchased it !! Great minds think alike ….right!!!!😀 great knitting video!
I made one sweater with Noro yarn which I bought at the Tinsmith’s Wife. It urned out too small, the sleeves too long and narrow. I recycled the yarn., and never knitted another sweater. I have made many socks, accessories, your sweater is beautiful and fits so well.
I'm a huge fan of your cross stitch/quilting flosstube and was excited to see this knittytube (lol) Surprise Surprise 🤣 I'm not a knitter but I do enjoy watching you talk about it and seeing the results of your work. Great job and I'm looking forward to following the progress on your projects.
Very nice to see a knitting podcast from you I enjoyed it.💞 Some of the knitting podcasts I watch are Knittingtraditions, Knotty knit wits, Hundred Acre Wool, Joji Locatelli, the Grocery girls so many great podcasters so little time LOL have fun 🧶😉
Yes please more of these. I haven’t knitted in a few years either but I did knit a simpler scarf for a Christmas gift. Yeah me! Do you have any favorite knit tubers you watch? I found Youngfolk knits and love her. Just thought I’d pass that info on. I look forward to all your CZcams’s. Thank you! 💖💖
excellent video, as usual! thank you! i knit, crochet Tunisian), cross stitch, & quilt so whatever you want to focus on is fine with me 🙂
That was just great! Have to sit on my hands to not take notes to start all the knitting!!!🤣
😂😂 thank you!
Great to see your new podcast, I’m a real lover of crazy sock lady and Ali at little drops of wonderful.
Oh thank you!
I would love a knitting tutorial! I would also love to learn how to knit socks. I wish I lived near you. We would do all the things all the time!! 😅😂
love your stripe sweater, Great finish. Way to go. Keep crafting and sharing you're great at this, Enjoyed.
Thank you so much!
You are such a sweetheart! And so talented, beautiful, creative & FUN! I’ve been a cross stitch & sewing fan of yours for awhile and am so happy for your new knitting floss(?)tubes to take off🥰
Loved seeing your knitting / crochet projects. I come from watching your cross stitch/ quilting so was so pleased when saw this was for knitting. Years ago I did the beginning scarfs, dish clothes and one Little Red Riding cape (with lots of help from knitting class). Looking forward to your tutorials, because I would like to start knitting again.
Love your striped jersey! and enjoyed seeing all your woolly goodies.
What a great video Liz. Love your projects and really love your honesty when reviewing your purchases. It’s refreshing! How much fun is that advent going to be!?!
I can’t wait to start opening all those tiny drawers!
Rabbit hole indeed, guess I’ll be joining you on your journey🤗 loved your first knitting episode. Just have to figure out how to get all the things done, cross-stitch, quilting and now knitting. I want to do all the things. Thanks you elizabeth.
Beautiful stitching and quilting and knitting, ladies. Liz, it's always such a treat to see your mom on your videos. Both of you are so talented and so delightful to watch. Thank you so much for sharing another great video. I hope you have a wonderful time on your upcoming trip.
Love your knitting as well as all the crafting you do. I watch a lot of knitting “podcasts “. I could overwhelm you with a list. One of my favorite podcasts is The Fat Squirrel Speaks. You may like it too. She is also multi crafty. I also just discovered those Lantern moon Ebony needles, I love the swivel! Wool berry has a podcast.
Oh I’ve watched Fat Squirrel! So fun!
Those Jimmy Bean boxes are beautiful and sturdy enough to be reused. I know so many knitters who drop little trinkets, unicorn tails, or half skeins in them throughout the year and then open them 1 at a time over advent. So fun! You have some great projects going and planned. I look forward to what you'll work on next. I have been knitting for 30 years and I also love Knit Picks. I own lots of their interchangble needle sets and tons of their yarn. I'm a big fan of Hawthorne. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Yes! I told Rob I want to reuse that box next year!
Hi Liz I am so pleased to see another knitter on here ..I have done a few videos sharing my knitting too, I love your striped sweater looks great!!
I can’t wait to see your next podcast /FLOSSTUBE!
I love your knitting video even though I don't know how to knit. When you got to the part of thinking of doing learn to knit videos, I'm telling your video, yes please. I hope you will do the learn to knit videos. All of your knitted projects are so awesome.
Your sweater is just sooooo good!! And that hat matches the red stripe perfectly haha
Loved all of this!! Also we're going to match with our advent plans, with the Sweet Shop Blanket - I love it!!
Yay! Thank you! Yeah I really want to do some sort of blanket project I think! But I may have to start after I see all my colors!
Love this content. I subscribed for the cross stitch a couple years ago, and now I'm learning to knit and love seeing your knit projects. I haven't found knit CZcams videos that hold my attention like flosstube does, so this is the best of both worlds 💕💕
Yay, thank you!
Learn to knit videos 😍😍😍 yes please!!!!
I just started knitting! So fun! Have you watched Cozy Up Knits? 3 sisters; very entertaining!
Loved your first knitting video! I am a cross-stitcher, quilter, crocheter, and dabble in knitting. I would love to see you do tutorials on knitting. I can whip out a knitted dishcloth in no time but am not a garment stitcher at all. By the way I have watched every episode of Elizabeth Ann Can Stitch and have used your tutorial to make a project bag. Thanks so much for all the you share!
Definite thumbs up! Looking forward to more. You’ve inspired me to get out some projects that have been languishing in the closet!
I'm so excited to see your knitting. 😀 A few of my favorite podcasts to watch are The Crazy Sock Lady, The Grocery Girls, The Bakery Bears, and Needles at the Ready.
Love your striped sweater! I've been on a knitting kick as well. I have a long list of knitting podcasters so here goes:
Knitty Knatty (I met her at my LYS, she is as nice as she is in her podcasts)
Grocery Girl Knits (Love them!!)
Knitting with Cat hair
Knits 'n Pieces (I watch every Tues)
Crazy Sock Lady
Youngfolk Knits
A Lovely Yarn
The Knitty Kats
Denim and Rain
Salt City Knits
Kutovakika (she's adorable and her knitted sweaters are gorgeous)
Kuria Knits
Phylena

Piece4Peace Crafting
The Black Sheep Knitter
Lol, can you tell we gave up cable tv?😂
Thank you, love your projects and great to see your knitting
Yay thank you!
If you were where I am the gorgeous sweater would stay on! Love your video and yes I would love to learn to knit with you.
I loved this! I have dabbled in knitting. Grandma taught me when I was 9 but only the knit and purl. I have made some scarves and a pair of socks. I would love some tutorials! ❤
Love. I need to finish a blanket I started 2 years ago. Crochet. 😅
I would so love for you to do knitting tutorials! I am a beginner knitter and want to make socks but it seems so intimidating to me! Please do some knitting tutorials!!
I LOVE Knitting Liz!!! 🧶
Hi Liz, Totally enjoyed your new knitting video seeing all your projects, progress, yarns and needles. You are so enthusiastic it's infectious!! Lol I'm also happy to be here as you begin the knitting ones since I've watched you as you started your flosstube journey. Keep up the great job. Happy Thanksgiving. Hugs
I hit KnitPicks the other day. Can’t wait to get my haul.
Congratulations on your first knitting video! I recommend watching The Crazy Sock Lady! I love her channel!
Oh yes I watch her every week! One of my faves!
Yes! Teach us to knit!
Your sweater looks amazing. Good fit and nice colors.
I am NOT going to start knitting!!! 🙀I have too many hobbies already. However... I love your sweater. And your yellow scarf and new shawl.
Really enjoyed this. Thanks Elizabeth Ann!
I loved this video! Huge fan of your cross stitch channel-I’m a knitted but average skill-hats and only one pair of socks-have everything to make the “Jessica Fletcher Fish” sweater but making it with deer as I live in Michigan/but- I think it’s beyond my capabilities 😳I’d LOVE a stitch a long with u to sharpen my skills and confidence. So happy and thank you for doing a knitting video! Appreciate your time and expertise ❤
Thanks for another great video. Crossing over to the other side with knitting…
Working on a pair of socks while following the crazy sock lady channel…teaching myself the socks… it looks like a sock too.. lol… keep up the great work….😊🧶
I'm so excited for your knitting video. I've learned so much from your videos. I'd love to learn to knit.
Great job Elizabeth! I love your cross stitch CZcams & now I love your knitting CZcams. Your striped sweater is adorable. I've never tried to knit clothing, but leaning toward wanting to try.. I'm an avid sock knitter too and love the hand dyed yarn.
I adore Amy Beth aka The Fat squirrel, Kay, the crazy sock lady, and of course Jodi and Tracie, the Grocery Girls, Dani from Little Bobbins, and a whole slew of other wonderful knitters that I can’t seem to remember off the top of my head. It feels as though a lot of knitting content folks have been slowly lengthening the time between the episodes. It is so hard to keep up with everyone but I love it when I see a new episode pop up from any of those folks. I also always like to watch Joji. She’s one my favorite designers.
I loved the entire video, Liz. I'm a knitter, crocheter, quilter, and cross stitcher. I'm starting to get more excited about knitting lately. I pulled out one of my fair isle sweaters today, and it really isn't quite cold enough here this afternoon. This morning it was in the 30's so, yes, but it has warmed up to 65 degrees. I think I will need to shed this one now. lol It is a wool sweater. There will be plenty of cold days later on. I love the crocheted cardigan that you are making, and your new sock that you started. That yarn is super pretty. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I will see you on your next video. Take care. Diane
Beautiful sweater Elizabeth Ann ! 💜
This is so exciting! Very inspiring! Would love to learn to knit from you. Your tutorials are very easy to follow. Love your choice of projects. I watch Cherry Heart and Wool and Wine.
Great knitting video, Elizabeth! So I quilt, embroider, cross stitch and crochet. There just might be some knitting in my future- I’m a total newbie. Love, love your striped sweater - so beautiful and fits so well. I’d love to learn to do hats, socks, shawls, etc. I just love all fiber crafts. Look forward to more of your knitting content and tutorials - I should probably learn to knit first 🤔
I love you and your enthusiasm! I am a knitter as well as cross stitcher and was so happy to see this video! Can’t wait for the next one. I too love Ruby and Roses yarn. Check out Bumblebee Acres farm ….. great yarn ❤❤❤
Fabulous knitting podcast/CZcams. Such great progress on everything. I knit all the time and love it. The vest is really nice. Check out Ruby and Roses yarn as well as Explorer knits. Thankfully many designers are now more size inclusive. That has not always been the case. On the hat with extra room at the top, I think you were thinking of slouch. Doesn’t Austin have a big fiber festival?
Love love love your sweater and hat! I crochet a lot also and my favorite hooks are Clover Amour. I've tried quite a few, but not the Pryms. I tried the expensive Furls, and they are gorgeous, but too heavy for my hands, and I dropped mine ONCE, and the head broke off. I'm way to chaotic to use a fragile hook! LOL. Can't wait to see your finished cardigan. I love MeghanMakesDo patterns!
Hi! Your knitting projects are amazing! Your sweater turned out so nice! I'm looking forward to your knitting and would appreciate knitting tutorials and tips. I used to knit, but never felt like I was good at it. I follow your cross stitch and quilting channel and love everything you make! Thanks!!
Thank you so much!
Great to see so much knitting from you! Some good podcasts I watch are: Cozy Up Knits, Knitting Traditions, Hundred Acre Wool, Fiber Tales, Forest City Knit Girls, The Knitty Stew, Kristy Glass Knits, Free Your Sheep and a few others I can’t recall right at the moment, but all are so much fun and so enabling! Have fun!! Oh and The Cutbank Girls, Emma Robinson and for a real treat,Danish Musings! Such talented knitters!!
Thank you for this video, and yes, please put out some knitting tutorial videos! I am teaching myself to knit, but could use some help!! My first project is a scarf!
I can knit a little. I know how to do the stitches but because I don't do it much I'm very slow. I was wondering about the sweater, knowing what area you live in, it's very nice. I have a book called the knit experience by Sally Melville asndf would love to make the Einstein coat for myself. It's all knit but I guess I'm not confident enough. Love watching you.
You are amazing!! Love your UTube videos, the most!! 👏👏👏❤️
Love your striped sweater. I can’t knit worth a hoot but I do crochet so you enabled me to start a Shaw. Almost finished the Reading Shaw by Ophelia Talks Crochet! Then I bought more yarn for a second one!😂 Great video!
I ❤ your knitting video. I’m left handed and when my 2 girls were little I wanted to learn how to knit and crochet. Nobody could me because of being left handed so I got books and thought myself. To this day I still knit and crochet. I ❤️ doing both. Your projects are so beautiful 🥰
Also a cross stitcher and knitter/ crocheted! Love your videos! Hey and I think, “Barbara Deserved Better” is a Stranger Things reference 😊
ohhh maybe so! I just assumed Barbie because of all the Barbie yarn collections lately and also I've never seen Stranger Things!
You go girl, well a knitting you will go LOL. Cant wait to see the ornaments you are going to make!!! Yep i knit as well, mainly wraps & hats but last year i did make a jumper which was called Birkin - I learnt so much as I’ve always knitted from the bottom to the top and this was the top down in one go. Im currently waiting on some wool to make Pearled Frost by Melanie Rice, it is GORGEOUS!!! It’s got everything i love, cable cable and on yes cable so am hanging out for my skeins to arrive!!!!!!
Yes please! I have been looking longingly at your knitting projects wanting to learn. I have loved your tutorials in the past to make project bags and folders and quilted table runners, and you are great at explaining things! Other than the yarn you recommended, what needles and what size do I need to get to knit along? Any other supplies?
Love your hat
I would love a beginnners course!!
I loved your video! You are so talented and contagious!
Glad you separated the knitting for those of us who don't knit but cross stitch. Thank you. Love the sweater
Im in for the knitting tutorial. Thanks for sharing. Your sweater is beautiful
I love seeing your knitting and so glad you are enjoying it! My favorite knitting podcast is done by my favorite knitwear designer: Andrea Mowry: I’ll Knit if I Want to. She videos EVERY Friday morning. They are typically around 30 minutes long -the focus is her answering knitting questions submitted by viewers. She always has Excellent tips!!!! Another favorite is Fruity Knitting - a monthly 90 minute podcast of a mother and daughter team. Each episode includes historical info on spinning, wool, dyeing, etc as well as in-depth interviewer with a designer. I look forward to watching you on your knitting journey.
