- Welcome back!
Finally found the time to get around to finishing up edits on my longest video to date. In today’s adventure, we check out a large portion of the Natural Bridge State Resort Park.
On this adventure we start with the suspension bridge, the original trail (shortest route) up to Natural Bridge, some of the great views in the area and some of the other hiking trails around the park.
Come along and let’s see what this area has to offer! Hope you enjoy this adventure. Thanks for watching!

Thanks and thanks for watching!
Thanks for making this video. One of the best I've come across for that area of the Gorge. This will help me plan my day at Natural Bridge. Good job!
Appreciate that, glad the video was helpful.
Hope you have a great visit to Natural Bridge!
Nice hike, stream, and caves ❤️👍
Beautiful area, a great place to catch Fall color too🍁🍂
Looking forward for a chance to visit the Red River Gorge area. Great video as all that I have seen has been.
It’s an awesome place, you’ll really like it!
Appreciate you watching!
Thank. You
You’re welcome, thanks for watching!
As I mentioned before, I love your videos. The only thing missing is detailed descriptions that might be copy/pasted so folks could follow your route.
There's so much great, detailed information given in your videos but it would take a ton of note taking for viewers to take the same routes. I hate to sound needy but your knowledge of the area seems indispensable.
Glad you enjoy the videos!
Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll see what I can do moving forward to try to incorporate route info.
I. Love. It
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Perfect timing !!! We are heading there this evening. Thank you.
Awesome! Enjoy, a lot of great features and views to be seen
@@ExploringWithDRob Do you know of anything to do in the area when it is raining? I will have my grandkids ages 13 and 7 with me.
Sorry, I’m just now seeing this comment.
The underground kayaking is ideal for a rainy day.
Love your videos.. it helped me know what to expect this weekend. Took my three boys to Chimney rock top and Natural bridge 😊🍁
Awesome, glad they were helpful!
Hope y’all got to see some great Fall colors!
@@ExploringWithDRob thank you. It was beautiful 😍
Sweet! I love Fall🍁🍂
Nice!
Thanks man!
I've always been confused about Battleship Rock. On the web, there's a lot of photos of Lookout Point that are captioned as Battleship Rock. But your video gives me the impression Battleship Rock is a separate formation. Is that the case?
I've taken the Low Gap trail from the sky lift parking up to the Rock Garden trail and on up to Natural Bridge. That's mountain goat country.
That’s definitely mountain goat country coming up through there, nice area tho.
I’ve saw some of those same maps, they can be deceiving.
Right around the 16 minute mark in the video, that’s Lookout Point that you can look back across to Natural Bridge. Battleship Rock is on around towards Lover’s Leap. If you come down the Needles Eye trail you come down by Battleship Rock. At around 20 minutes I show Battleship Rock from the Lovers Leap. Then around 23 minutes I show Needles Eye Arch that’s located on Battleship Rock.
You mentioned being there in June, but what time of day? I’m so surprised by the lack of other people there.
On a weekday about 830.
I always hike early and rarely on the weekends 😅
@@ExploringWithDRob Good tip! Thanks. We’ll be headed that way in 2025.
About how long is the hike in this video?
I did just under 5 miles that day.
