    Great tips mate. The good old pool noodle and cable ties is the perfect flotation device for the sieve and a length of rope to your waist makes for an easy and enjoyable yabby pumping session 🦞

    @billaskie9114 Před 6 měsíci

    Hi Roger, I use my sieve with the noodle wrapped round it to put my yabbies in -- I use an aluminium prawn scoop with galvanised rat wire (about 30-40cm deep) with a lever on the handle so that the scoop is on a good angle to pump into. The sieve is tied by a length of thin rope to my belt and towed round as I pump. The whole set up is great for a 1 man pumping excursion.

    Hey Roger, you may have seen this already, but if you get a pool noodle and cable tie it around your sieve under the lip/top it allows it to be more self filtering in slightly deeper water. It was a real bonus to me.

    A car tyer inner tube works perfectly for holding your sieve, not pumped too hard. Lasts for years. Wear a belt that holds a small bucket with handle, and yes your pump action is spot on.
