- Part 2 of the Busted Knuckle Birthday Bash is one of our favorite obstacles called Tub Rock. This slick ramp of rocks has virtually no traction when it is wet. So you have to smoke the tires to dry it out and get them hot enough to propel you up the hill. Second only to Cable Hill it is one of the best obstacles at Gray Rock ORV Park. The park is closed to the public but we got special permission again this year to go play with a hand selected group of rock bouncers. We decided to warm up for the day on this rock bouncer hill climb. Gray Rock is where Rock Bouncing all started for me so enjoy the tire smoking show full throttle show as these rock buggies hunt for traction and send $1000 tires up in smoke.

Oh my gosh another banger video man, happy b day. I’m only 16 but I remember watching these bouncers hitting these spots with my dad and brother and it brings back memories and it’s just nuts to think about it, hope you had a good b day. Love the vids definitely gotta go watch an event one day. Twin turbo bouncers still a godam ripper haha ❤😂
It was an awesome day just like old times. I’d love to take a big group out there for an entire weekend and hit more trails. Maybe one day.

I'll say this upfront this is NOT an air down comment. But once everyone's tires get to the right temperature they seems to catch on and go! And you sure had 1 super cool Birthday celebration with all those folks. Another GREAT video-thank you.
Glad it's not an air down comment LOL, yeah most of these guys had extra air in the tires for Cable Hill which made this obstacle a little more difficult but even more fun at the same time.

We all use sticky competition compound tires. Am AT tire made for the street would just spin on this.

I’ve wondered why don’t try weight in front of the front axle. They do the inverse for drag racing
Adding weight seems counter productive when climbing a hill
Lots of horsepower and not enough sticky tread
There is only so much sticky tread, these rocks are super slick from all of the polishing over the years
Curious to see the difference during warmer seasons like early fall, I’ve noticed personally that there’s more grip during warmer days
Temperature for sure makes a difference in traction. It also helps if it doesn't rain then night before...
In rock bouncing, does it make a difference if you have skinny or wide tires?
I wouldn’t think it makes a huge difference, most everyone runs the same tires. The more tread on the ground the better typically.

4 seat bouncer is 130, most bouncers are 120-125

I got access to a 454 boat motor that my brother in law used in his 1968 camero for drag racing. Would it work in a bouncer?

How come U Guys Don't Air DOWN ?
Short answer because we have to hit things hard due to lack of traction so more pressure which is 8-12psi keeps us from bending wheels. Most of our terrain can’t be crawled.
