  • If you have ever wondered what it would be like to design a car for a hot rod designer, or better: Design his DAILY DRIVER, have we got an episode for you.
Brad King ran one of the most clandestine operations, working behind the back of close friend and industry-insider Brian Stupski to orchestrate a one-day build of his 2016 Dodge Challenger R/T, calling in friends and colleagues to craft a killer lowered, blown street machine with top-shelf parts.
All while Brian stood mere feet away at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
It's a home-brewed, Overhaulin' -inspired build with tricks, turns, misdirection and great friends. And one VERY confused car owner. It's a supercharged secret build as Brad enlists some industry A-list companies and builders to overhaul Brian's Dodge Challenger. If you've ever wanted a front-row seat to utter confusion and a group of great friends getting together on a Saturday morning to void a warranty, well, this is for you.
The car community is funny. It’s only a fraction about the cars; the rest is about the people. Brad goes all-out on a clandestine operation to make over Brian’s Challenger in grand fashion with a one-day thrash featuring hot rod heroes, good friends, and a step toward a young car guy’s future, too. We even witness the birth of a car guy, as Brian's son finds a love for the hobby.
    But no brunch.
That last statement will make a lot more sense once you watch this.
More than just a car build, this projects hits so much deeper. It’s about friendships, life challenges, a father and son bonding moment (and the loss of one, too), and a generally HUGE serving of reality. It speaks a lot about the value of good friends, a healthy-sized network of friends and industry professionals, and most of all about what this whole hobby is all about:
    THE PEOPLE.
It’s a story about a group of friends getting together on a Saturday to build something cool, to hang out, and to pick on one another relentlessly. Get out there and do likewise; it’s those hours in the garage that last so much longer than the things you’ll bolt together in them.

As I once said when addressing a large group of rodders - “our cars are merely the vehicle that brings this “family” together!”
So heartwarming to see the group effort!

At 19:40 the caliper assembly clocks me on the head......

I will never clean that smudge from the caliper, either. It's like having a half-eaten hot dog from Nicolas Cage... You just become the steward of it.

@@bradking5608 It's the first time I felt sorry for a blunt object like that. (I mean the caliper in this case)
