This was a trip down memory lane for me. Almost 20 years ago we sold our house, downsized and lived in an airstream. We worked summers at Grand Canyon and spent winters in Yuma AZ. When we decided to live year round in Yuma we bought a 400 square feet park model trailer. We had gotten so used to living simply, with only the things we used and needed that we knew we didn’t want a larger house anymore. Isn’t it amazing how little we can get by with and be content. I wish we had half the storage in our Airstream that you do! lol We have a 19' and it truly works great for the two of us. I have limited storage. What I have done is use plastic mason jars that I found on Amazon. These fit perfectly in one of my overhead bins and are light weight. I put sugar, rice, pastas, cocoa, flour - all the things - in these jars. I also find those soft rope bins work in so many places. I really enjoyed your tour and found some great ideas!
Hi Robin - I loved seeing this. I grew up camping. When I was about 10 and my brother was 6, when the company my dad worked for went on a 3 month strike. We took off on a 3 month camping trip. We went to every state in the west. We had a pop up trailer back then. I remember we washed our clothes and dishes with water from the cold mountain streams. It was very hot but those streams were very cold. We could put a watermelon in the stream and it would be cold in 20 minutes. I am 73 but I can still feel the breeze blowing across my brother and I as we laid down for a nap in the afternoons. My parents fixed some of the most delicious meals out on a campfire. Even homemade biscuits and cornbread. Of course, I am sure they would have loved to have an airstream them but after they retired they got a really nice one and continued their camping until they couldn’t any more. I am so glad that you are getting to do somethings like that. It’s fun to go but then your happy to be home too. I would love to see some of things you do and some of the meals you fix. Rachel was here with me today and watching this video with me. She said she could live in one like you have after she graduates and travel the country. I didn’t burst her dream by telling her she would need to make money. HA!. Love in Christ, friend.
What wonderful memories Donna! We are loving our adventures and are so content in our small space with only the things we really need. Of course it’s nice to return home as well. 😄 I would love to share more in future videos and take you along as we explore.

This was so interesting! I would love to see your meals/meal prep for a trip. We don't RV but we have a mountain log cabin which is somewhat remote so I have to plan well for meals when we go there. We're leaving tomorrow and will be there for a week so I'm packing and planning today. Thanks for the motivation!

I don’t have a moterhome. We have a small boat. We call this type a sloop. A nice weather boat. We live on the rivier the Rijn.🚤
I bought corelle too, but I bought square ones for easier packing
We lived in a 25 foot Shasta for 3 years when our daughter was small. We then lived in a Country Aire for 2 years. My husband worked in oil and gas exploration so we were constantly moving. Moving along now in our late sixties we just bought a 25 ft airstream. It will be delivered on Tuesday. Hopefully things will come back to me as far as organization in a small space. You had some great ideas.

I have those silicone food containers and yes, they’re great for camping! Not so much for at home use all of the time, though.
They’re a bit frustrating because they like to collapse while trying to put that lid on. 😊
So camping use is best as their best feature is the easy storage!

We bought a coachman camper in June of last year. It’s 34 foot, we still haven’t gotten used to pulling it. I think they make them so lightweight that if there is a lot of wind on the trip it sways a lot. We drove 12 hours to our destination this summer and it was a little stressful. We are thinking of downsizing. I realized after purchase that there are a few things I loved about it and some I would want different. I recommend doing lots of research before purchasing and deciding on what your needs are and what you really want out of your camper. I would love to see some meal prep for camping and what you cook on trips. Thanks for the great videos 😊
We have a Jayco 34 foot RV that we love to travel in. Like you everything is stored in baskets to keep like items together. Love the idea of using felt between the kitchen pots and pans to reduce noise while in transit. Will copy that idea for sure. Thanks! Always a pleasure to spend time with you!

Thank you for doing an RV video! We have a 30 foot Airstream Classic. We use those sink covers on the armrests of the couch, they fit perfectly and there is a cutout for the light control panel. (although newer models may different from ours) Provides a solid surface to rest a glass of wine and snack for an evening movie! Would love to see videos for RV cooking, I never know what to make and am looking for relatively simple meals. Also would love to see campground reviews or a day in the life RV style.

Excellent job of organizing! You even color coordinated everything which actually is visual organization. Your Airstream is my ideal choice of an RV. It’s been many years since we have been camping in an RV. Organization was a challenge with small children back then.

Hi Robin! I enjoyed your RV video! I am amazed by your skills to organize things! I love an organized space, and seeing how you manage to stow everything, and have a few things left at the right spot for convenience made my heart sing! I would very much love to have (or rent) an RV, but for now, we don’t have the budget. I find it very appealing to live more simply, with fewer items, and that is the path I am trying to follow in our 2-bedroom condo, now that my husband has retired. Have a blessed day!

Great ideas! We have a 29 ft. Outdoors RV 24RKS that has loads of storage space but I'm always looking for better ways to fit things in. You gave me some good ideas. We tend to take longer trips so it's important to have what we need on the road and while away from home. I'd love to see how you handle meal planning and meal prep for your trips. What a fun video. I have such wonderful family vacation memories from my childhood when our family would RV. We lived in Florida and the RV park at Disney World was called Fort Wilderness. It was a fantastic place for a family vacation. They had all sorts of activities in the park or you could take a ferry over to the Magic Kingdom. Truly the greatest place on Earth. Thanks for the fun memories.

Very nicely organized! I like Corelle dishes so much that we use them in our home for everyday. I love how many stack in a small space. I also use the turkish towels for everyday in my bathroom . . . nice and big and absorbent and not so heavy. Easy to wrap up in after a shower! Thanks for sharing Robin!
We’re 75 yo and have used Corelle dishes for everyday use since 2022. They make living so much easier!
My grandparents used Corelle dishes, so they remind me of good times. I love them and look forward to many years of use! 😄👍💛

Austin did put a smile on my face as this afternoon unfortunately we had to put our 16 year old Staffy down her name was Lezel. A very hard thing to do when you love your dog so much and owned her all those years. This video I am sure will come in handy if we did get a caravan you have given very great tips. By for now Robin. Great organization. I usually use a camping backpack and an extra large LL. Bean Tote (since it's fabric it scrunches down small when not being used) for taking laundry other places. The tote is large enough to carry all the laundry items as well. Plus they both fit on my shoulders. Need to be hands free to wrangle Lee's and my son Daniel. He's 13 but autistic. He is prone to running off and he can't even find his way home even if he's nearby.

Our oldest daughter and her family have a fifth wheel. It sure saved them when Harvey hit four years ago. They loaded up their kids, valuables, and headed north. They came home and it served as home while what was left of their house was rebuilt. In Michigan, most people have lakehouses or cabins, but still see RVs headed up north every weekend😊
What a blessing for your daughter and her family in the midst of a very difficult time! We would love to explore Michigan in our RV - it’s definitely on our list!

@@FaithandFlour It’s absolutely breathtaking in the northern part. You can see some pictures and videos on FB LousmaAriel, our sons drone business. It’s a long haul, but worth it! I’ve only lived in SE Texas and Michigan. Three of our four kids defected back to Texas, even though they were born up here🤣 They spent most of their lives in Texas. Aaron works at Uchiko Austin, Tori’s in Victoria area and Holly close to where they grew up.
We bought a rubber pet mat for our dogs food and water. Our dog is a very messy drinker and this mat keeps any water from getting into areas that might ruin our floors. The mat has a narrow lip along the edges. We got it from Amazon. I know you said Austin was a messy drinker, so you might look into that. Love your RV. I have been trying to talk my husband into trying RVing. So far indoor plumbing is winning out, but we will see.

I hope you will one day have your RV if that is your dream. It took us a while to save and take the plunge, and we are so glad we did. We rented an RV first to be sure we knew what we were getting in to and I highly recommend doing that!

Do you have any good tips for how to store your Berkey while on the move? I have a whole bubble wrap, in a plastic bin, in the shower thing that irritates me for some reason! Thanks:)
I am Gluten intolerant and lactose intolerant and I have found that the Paleo diet is exactly what I need because it is no gluten and no dairy so it's worked perfectly for my body and my girl who needs the keto diet and it is similar to the Paleo diet so it works out perfectly. I don’t know anything about camping and this was interesting. When you return home, do you remove everything from the RV and store things in your house? Can you leave storage containers, etc. in the RV until your next trip? Also, I began watching your oldest video on CZcams and am working my way up to current. I’m enjoying it so much! Last night I watched a video from a year ago where you and Patrick made a raised bed and planted a few veggies. The star of the show was Austin! He seemed to love the new bed like he wanted to claim it for his own lol. It’s all good stuff and my life is enriched by your videos. Blessings 🌻
Thank you Beth! We try to leave as many things as possible on the RV and just carry our clothes and some food items back and forth. I do have to take home the bedding and towels to wash and a few other items, but it’s far more simple than packing suitcases and staying at hotels. We love it.
That raised bed is going strong with tomatoes, banana peppers and basil growing and starting to produce. Fortunately, Austin has learned to stay out so that we can harvest what we plant. 😂 Thanks so much for supporting my channel!

My dog don’t have towels as he loves to dry himself ans I have no issues with it. At the Moment we dont have much storage space at the mo.
Great video on your Airstream, but I wish you showed the outside of it, to get a full idea. Maybe next video?? How do you like living a simpler life in the RV??? It must be very freeing and having only what you need and having time to experience time traveling. It really tells you how little in life we need to feel content??? My husband and I lived when we first got married ,in a little apartment and it was such good training, on only buying what you need and opening the door to experience the simpler life. Also, this off subject of this video, but while looking in your amazon store, I noticed that you have a different stem iron from the one you use. Did yours stop working. Which do you find works better. I wanted to get the one you have plus the ironing board, but they both have been continuously on back order. Wish as well I could find an ironing boars like yours.

Great video! My only suggestion is to not keep raw meat next to cooked meat. Otherwise, I love your ideas!!
RV fridges need to circulate air. It would be better to bave bins with holes in the bottom.
I just got the Turkish towels for our camper. I see they can’t be put in the dryer. Have you ever dried them in your dryer or just hand to dry?
