Learn How to Fold a Parchment Bag for Piping

Learn how to make a piping bag out of parchment paper. You’ll learn how to fold parchment paper triangles into disposable decorating bags that are a great use-and-toss option. Parchment paper pastry bags are perfect for cake decorating, especially piping small details, fine lines, writing without a tip, stringwork and for whenever small amounts of royal icing, buttercream or melted candy are needed.
Tips:
- To use a decorating tip, cut 3/4 in. off the end of the bag and drop it in.
- Don’t overfill your bag, 1/2 full or less is best.
- It’s easier to use pre-cut parchment triangles.

Tip! Don’t fold in, fold the M outwards, so when you put in the icing it doesn’t demolish your flap! Also when you’re using the tip to fill it up with icing, Make sure to hold it by the notch to ensure it doesn’t become undone, the fold the top corners into the middle, then roll it downwards. This will ensure your icing doesn’t go everywhere while piping
