Ok I normally fry up the saltfish in the pot but I always like this method, I now knw how to make it this way.... the way I normally do is for when am eating it with dumplings not bake..... lol thank you 😊 am now going to try it👍🏼
You get the best taste of any saltfish dish and also any roti dish when you eat with your hands. In fact any dish.That's what I learnt from my grandmother who came from India. I still eat my roti with my hands. Meals are soooo delicious.

I love it but I don't cook my salt fish I wash it off and soak it in hot water for 15-20 minutes ..and then use it I find cooking it makes it very dry and that's why I never liked it growing up

Nice meal I'll have to try that...soaking that saltfish for 4 hours then boil it again would definitely take out all the salt . that's why yuh needed salt in the end .

Once the bul jol is made I like to add a couple cloves of garlic to the oil and let the garlic go dark brown and then add it to mixture.
