Great Video. You have to make sure as an agent you explain well and for God’s sake, If they want to get a bronze or gold, at least, talk to them about a hospitalization and sickness plan to help them with the MOOP.

I agree with you 100% !! sometimes these insureds don't realize the money that are responsible for when they get a gold or bronze plan when they qualify for CSRs.

Finished early today.; Another great one. Many people think insurance pays100% of everything. When they get a bill for their shared portion of the bill they think "My insurance doesn't cover anything" they imagine that they are paying 100% of everything. And yes they are paying 100% of the portion that belongs to them. They don't understand that their shared portion of the cost is part of the contract and they are agreeing to pay certain cost before the insurance shared cost kicks in. Which is why most people should seek assistance even if it's just to be sure they are picking the most cost effective option. You'd be surprise at how many people think they are paying too much when their $10 plan jumps to $40. Yes that $30 plan was the best option.

Theoretically, if they have a $2,250 copay for an emergency room visit and the actual service cost was $1,000. Would they still have to pay $2250 or just the $1000?
Could it be possible that the person you referred to in your video went to the emergency room, and it was not deemed an emergency? Or if it’s not an emergency, would they send them to urgent care/away?

yes, that is very possible, that it was not an emergency. Good point. As far a the $2250 copay or $1000. They would pay the $1000
