    It was awesome to see ya jive with this wacky theory, Pyro! Your return to WoW lore recently has been a treat. Super keen on seeing how the Worldsoul Saga plays out as it pertains to some of your earliest predictions. Even the announcement felt pretty validating to the nature of your perspective. Cheers for the review and corrections.

    In playing cards all cards have their own meaning, this is what it says about the King of Diamonds: _"The King of Diamonds represents a shrewd businessman who executes deals, runs companies, and grows wealth with good decisions. He is an excellent negotiator because he is cunning and fearless in his decision-making. At times, this king can get a little hot-headed when things don't go his way."_
    Now doesn't that describe Gallywix to a tee?

    Okay I’m paused at 9:41 when it’s showing the 3 dreadlords, aside from Deth being shown as a gluttonous being, look at his color too. Bal is Red for when he infiltrated the Scarlet Crisade, Veri is purple to show he was loyal to The Undead(Sylvanas plus the Undead colors are Purple) but Deth is green. So that could indicate he’s Gallywox

    The remodel for Detheroc was definitely weird, no excusing that, but my guess is the reasoning behind that was them wanting to make them each look different instead of just being Red Dreadlord, Purple Dreadlord and Green Dreadlord. Doesn't make it good, but I can see the reasoning for it. Unsure why they went with that design specifically. Definitely makes him more memorable, so if that was the goal, mission accomplished I guess lol

      I mean when you look closely all the dreadlords look different in Regorged; there is Detharoc, then there is Varimathras who is buffer but shorter than Balnazzar.

    Apparently it was mentioned at some point in the lore about Detheroc's size before the remaster and that the only reason he wasn't large in the OG WC3 and Legion is because of tech-limitations/easier to use the same model as the others. I can't remember the exact mentions of Detheroc's size but I recall someone in the comments of the original video saying it existed before the remaster

    "The King of Diamonds has been made a pawn." Ouch. That's gotta sting, and here's why:
    So, if Dethiwyx is true, then he's currently waiting for Mal'ganis to create some kind of distraction through Renethal in order to nab "the asset". Daddy D makes a point of saying Mal'ganis's part was the hardest, which implies Detheroc's is the easiest considering the "and you'd better not screw this up" message. Detheroc, the master manipulator, has been sent to do nothing until the real plan happens, at which point his only job is to grab the Thing™ and bamf out.
    In other words, a pawn.
    How does a pawn work in chess? It has the special ability to jump into the middle of the board, sit there for half the game, and then take a piece sitting right beside it. Detheroc was sent to the middle of Azeroth, to sit there, wait for a distraction somewhere else, and then take something. He wasn't made a pawn by being fooled or outmaneuvered, he was made a pawn as a punishment.
    Ilgynoth isn't warning us about Detheroc, he was just straight up dunking on him. "The King of Diamonds has become a pawn" would, in this interpretation, be one of the sickest burns in the game.

    • @Brooke-rw8rc
      @Brooke-rw8rc Před 4 měsíci +7

      by the way, it's usually the KING's pawn that acts that way in chess.
      Denathrius: "Mal'ganis, I have the hardest plan for you that requires the most cunning! And you, Detheroc..."
      Detheroc: "yeah, boss?"
      Denathrius: "d4"

    I could also be misinterpreting this, but I think at 37:36 the video’s creator didn’t specify that Gallywix did not find Azerite, he found the lifeblood of Azeroth. It was “liquid gold” as you say, and Azerite only gets it’s blue-gold look after the sword is stabbed into the Azeroth. I believe we’re told, or it’s alluded to but I could be wrong, that the bluish component is the infusion from Argus (despite the fact it was red I guess). Azerite is often defined as the lifeblood of Azeroth, but that’s only true insofar as it’s her blood and Argus’s blood together. I think that’s where the confusion comes in, whatever her blood was called before Sargeras’s sword, that’s what Gallywix found: liquid gold that BECAME blue-gold “Azerite”. That’s a long-winded version of saying Gallywix didn’t find “Azerite as we know it”, which you did in this commentary.

    On Kezan before the Cataclysm, the Bilgewater Cartel dug deep enough into the earth that they were able to find and mine a small vein of Azeroth's blood. Jastor Gallywix fashioned it into the orb on his cane. He believes there is a possibility that this mining operation bears partial responsibility for the eruption of Mount Kajaro, and it may not have been solely the fault of the Cataclysm.[4]

    The thing about souls I think ties very well with Illidan's line when you die in the Illidari tutorial. He says that "you also have an immortal soul, like his, waiting to find a new body to possess." and then he urges you to find your body quickly while it's still usable. So what I thought was that the reason for that was the Fel the DHs have in them.

    Hey there Pyro, big fan. I actually found this one the other day myself, and it did make me think. I actually had a rather crazy idea myself when we were first getting leaks for 10.2 that I put as a response on a Bellular video about the stuff.
    It was this: 6 aspects. 6 cosmic forces. Coincidence?
    As it turns out, it was coincidence, but I thought it sounded pretty cool at the time, and would (imo) kinda fit with the Firrim journal theory that Azeroth is the origin of the forces of creation, rather then the end result, but maybe I'm just nuts ^^;
    Also, I know you left the cesspool that is twitter awhile back, but is there any place you do hang out at? I ask cause I've always been fascinated by your vids, even if the theories themselves proved to be false, and would enjoy being able to converse and pick your brain on a more regular basis, if you are open to it. If not, just ignore this part.

  • @BottledDelusion

    So I was thinking about this and it actually does make the goblin story make more sense. I was always thinking how insane Thrall put Gallywix in charge considering he just imprisoned him and tried to enslave his people. This made me wonder if Dreadlords can manipulate peoples minds or memories then when they recounted the WCIII mission that is in fact Detheroc’s specialty. He probably can’t mind control someone like Thrall but maybe he can make him accept a half hearted apology for his crimes against humanity and Thrall himself.
    Also I think this is a hilariously perfect cover for such an evil being as we write off some much goblin insanity as a joke and overlook Gallywix in particular because he’s such a cartoonish villain. What better cover? I think Detheroc has gotten lazy about covering his tracks because he’s noticed no one seems to care how blatant he can be about his evil because no one takes Gallywix seriously as a threat to the world because he’s just comic relief… right?

  • @GarroshTV
    @GarroshTV Před 4 měsíci +1

    Detheroc is basically the Schemer of the Dreadlords and not one who actually does the action himself. Ne never was good at fighting, but at manipulating.
    His Sloth over thousands of years basically resulted in his chubbyness.
    That was also perfectly shown during legion.
    All the other Dreadlords (Balnazarr, Tichondrius, Mephistroth) all did their action themselves, while Detheroc took over the Body of Matthias Shaw and had the SI:7 do his work.
    In the end Detheroc was beaten by 2 random guys (Player Character +1)
    His Power comes from his ability to manipulate but in Combat he's really bad.
    Even in WC3 Detheroc was depicted as the Leader of the group of Dreadlords we have seen and he was the only one who never really did anthing but talk.
    Tichondrius did the whole Skull of Guldan thing in Felwood and Varimathras had his story with Sylvanas, while Detheroc never really did anything.
    Him not showing up to rescure Remornia, but instead have others to the work for him again goes even deeper into this.
    His appearance was also subsequently reflected in his description in the novel Sylvanas, in which he is described as the most "oafish" of the three brothers, with a large, soft belly and tiny eyes.
    I think the Idea to make him more obese may have come later on, but it's actually really fitting to his character.

    24:20 - I feel like you wouldn't have to "pull Gallywix's strings" or mind-zap him if you wanted to make him an asset to your cause, no matter what said cause was. Knowing what Gallywix is like, it's actually almost kind of a plothole that The Legion didn't just straight-up buy his allegiance with promises of power and wealth. I'm pretty sure he always open for a better offer than whatever his current allies can provide.
    34:50 - This is an extremely important and poignant point. The point of Void whispers is not to have one specific meaning, but that they are always true in one context or another; sometimes multiple. The Void doesn't lie. The Void only speaks truth. It's just that the Void's idea of truth is kind of abstract and convoluted. It doesn't necessarily conform to the logic of "if A and B then C". A lot of people don't seem to get what the Void is all about. But if there's one thing the Void doesn't do, it's lie. It doesn't have to. If something isn't immediately an obviously true, it'll make it come true in some other way. The possibilities are endless and the Void isn't bound by the constraints of following just one path.

    One line from the video you skipped that I thought you'd elaborate on:
    "Detheroc used Domination magic on Garithos."
    Was it really Domination magic? If it really was, it would have many implications. The main being that if Dread Lords could use it, so could Denathrius. And it makes us question his role in relation to Zooval and the Primus.
    On the other hand, it was probably not the kind of domination that originated from the Primus. But the question is if the game wants to tell us whether the Domination creates by the Primus is some special kind of magic control of will of another, or if it's just a general term how to describe this phenomenon. Because the current lore basically states that the Lich Kings were dominated to some extent. And that the Lich Kings basically used Domination on their Death Knight and other minions. Thus you could say that what every necromancer does with their undead minions is a form of domination.

    ...Yeah, Blizzard's fanbase is just Oprah for dreadlords.
    "Jaina's a dreadlord! And Gallywix's a dreadlord!" Guys, remember when Maraad persuaded Varian to go to Draenor in the past, then died once they got there and his role was no longer needed, but that led to them releasing Gul'dan and defeating the Iron Horde, which led to the orcs summoning Archimonde, which led to Archimonde sending Gul'dan to Azeroth, which led to the opening of the Tomb of Sargeras, which led to the Legion invasion that led to Vol'jin dying to make Sylvanas warchief and to Sargeras being beat so he could stab the world and reveal the azerite?
    It's all because Maraad convinced Varian to march the Alliance to war into Draenor in WOD. - So Maraad is totally the dreadlord and he planned it.
    Or maybe the dreadlord is the orc who killed Maraad's family knowing it'd make him a vengeful shit. - Or the dreadlord made sure to give that orc an extra special dose of fel blood and saw to it to send that orc in Maraad's way.
    Wait, no, even better, it was dreadlords who put Maraad's family on the Genedar so they would go with the draenei, then they went to take the curse of flesh from Azeroth to turn the mountains into gronn and then into ogrinn and ogres and then later orcs, just so the Draenei would have a world to land on.
    Every time something convenient to the plot happens, it's either a dreadlord did it, or it's an accident but that's so dubiously convenient to the plot, it MUST'VE BEEN ORCHESTRATED BY AN EXTRA SUBTLE DREADLORD!
    Guys, there's only one dreadlord. - Bobbengyr Ko'dick'nazzar.

    In illidan novel of bllizard Illidan destroy the dreadlords on the planet named natroza and that was biggest dreadlords base that ever exist so the idea of dreadlord make fool of sargeras makes no sense to me because sargeras body basicly kick the living shit out of them😂😂😂

    There is no difference between gluttony and being fat in 99% of cases. Not every fat person has a polycystic ovary. They made themselves fat through gluttony. Lol

    i think you are looking at it from wrong angle..... look at humans in warcraft 3 + reforged and in wow always same model nobody is fat nobody is slim all jacked muscular men, yeah they added kul tirans and there are some Fat town hall mayor models + those slim defias models but the same point I can use with orcs...... dont you think there can be more slim orcs or fat orcs if they dont move and eat all day? i think there very well can be fat dreadlords too, and if blizzard didnt use them it doesnt matter that detheroc being fat is stupid

      WC3 Reforged, Lead Producer Pete Stilwell: "Detheroc seems the schemer of the three brothers, waiting in the wings for opportunity. That sloth over thousands of years resulted in him… putting on a few 'eL Bees'. Detheroc since original WC3 was always meant to be slothful and gluttonous looking, but they didn't have the time to distinguish the dreadlords from one another save for color palette swaps.
