Wacky Races: Crash and Dash is a 2008 racing video game based on the cartoon Wacky Races.
The game consists of three modes: Crazy Circuit, Wacky Race, and Trap Challenge. Crazy Circuit mode consists of completing six sets of races with four tracks each, Wacky Race allows a track unlocked in Crazy Circuit mode to be raced through, and Trap Challenge consists of playing through the traps set by Dastardly and Muttley during the races.
All racers from the cartoon are playable except Dastardly and Muttley, who aim to set traps during the race to slow the other racers down. Each vehicle is given four powerups to use to gain an advantage in the race, which are earned by collecting Mad Dash cogs. These are earned by finding them during the race or successfully completing the traps. At the end of the race, all vehicles sprint to the finish; those with the most Mad Dash cogs gain more speed.

I gotta admit the amount of work they must have put into this game voice acting wise must have been tough.
As a fan of the original game for Dreamcast, i also liked this style too. It's very different and loyal to the cartoon.
So is this game a remake of the game that came out in 2000?
I am also a fan of the one for Dreamcast. I haven't played this one but it doesn't look great. What's with the camera angle and everyone being bunched together the whole time. If you are looking to play a good Wacky Races game similar to the Dreamcast one I highly recommend you checkout the arcade version of Wacky Racers. It is playable on an emulator called Teknoparrot, just search Wacky Races Teknoparrot on CZcams if you want to check out the gameplay. Imo the Dreamcast one and the arcade version are the only good games made about Wacky Races.
@@ChristopherMcLarenExperienceno, it's very different. The 2000 game is a kart racing game with power ups.
This is the only Wacky Races game where Dick Dastardly and Muttley (The Mean Machine 00) are not playable characters, not even as unlockables. Yet they were playable in every game, including that 2004 Java game.
Just like the original 1968 cartoon, this is awesome.

So far, there have been spinoffs, video games and reboots of this series. What's missing is a movie.
There is a reboot on tv. But it only has like five racers.
I think 🤔 The reboot should have twelve racers.
And an anime.

I used to watch my brother play this quite a few years ago.
Of course, literally the only thing I cared about were the Dick Dastardly and Muttley mini-games :P

I've played this game plenty of times on Nintendo DS, but seeing it played on Wii is even better.
The thing about the cartoon show... Why is it that when any other racer uses special tricks to take the lead or to win the race, it's okay... But when Dastardly & Muttley use tricks, it's "cheating" and they get disqualified?
Because the narrator just seems to hate Dick Dastardly and Muttley...

Yes it is! I haven't played this Wii version but it doesn't look like much fun. An interesting fact about the Dreamcast version, it is one of about 10 games on the Dreamcast to support 16:9 widescreen.

I never knew about the show as I am a 2000s kid, but I have great memories of playing this game with my brothers.

I remember this show i used to watch on saturdays mornings in a tv program here in my country.
Still bothers me that Dick Dastardly and the Mean Machine isn't even playable in this game. If anything, he could've been a secret unlockable.

Dick Dastardly passes the other cars like a rocket multiple times but every single time he pulls over to cheat instead of finishing the race. I think the man has some serious mental issues that force him to stop and cheat.
