Great review, love this car!! And love how mini is able to make a car “feel fast”, without it being that fast; keeps you out of trouble in Kanuckistan. We only ever owned manuals for a long time .. f60 jcw plus other toys. Very sad to see manuals going away, I can’t really imagine being excited about driving any car without a stick. The lack of engagement would become boring over time.
Beautiful Carr, I had a 2020 Mini Cooper S that I took over the lease. The first thing I found out is that they’re very expensive, I did not know that they had gotten so expensive LMAO secondly, they can be quite loud on the inside, especially with the runflats. I loved the last Gen mini, I think that the front end on the new one looks good and I think that the backend looks a bit off, this one looked a little bit better even though I know it’s an old design….
14:30 he says "it's not spacious inside" - but then at 14:55 he says "it's so spacious inside"...sigh. He obviously has plenty of space. This car is shorter than a Miata, yet it seats four people, the cup holders are front and center, he has plenty of leg and arm room and lots of head room. I have the same car and it easy moves four people with groceries in the back. Folks, if you are considering this car - it has plenty of space for what it is.
I have a 2017 JCW and finally realized there is a button (front underneath) which lowers the center arm rest and makes it usable with the manual trans. People should not 'dis the horsepower without driving the car. It only weighs about 2800 lbs. It was fast enough, buy I did add about 50 hp/ 50 lb tq with a Malone tune for around $1,000. There are others that add more, but I think 280 hp / 290 lb is good on a FWD 2800 lb car. Biggest flaw IMHO is lack of LSD.
Its nice but my modified 2013 Clubman has more horsepower. Exhaust is nice. Carbon Fiber steering wheel. Im finding it hard to part with for a new one.
@@bh2155 Everything that made it great is missing. The classy union jack tail lights are gone. The chrome belt line trim is gone. The rear dual exhaust tips are gone. The quilted leather interior is gone. The hood scoop is gone. The hvac controls are gone. The aggressive wide fenders are gone. The premium interior materials are gone. Nothing good remains.

Mini is just following the trend of all the other manufacturers which is showing less enthusiasm for making fun to drive attractive cars because of the SUV craze and EV push. I am actually surprised they are still making this car at all. Most other automakers have dumped the small hot hatchback market at least in North America

Theyre pretty quick . 153 mph o-100 in 6.1 for the auto. a ton of torque for a 2.0 litre engine 320nm
