      The three-color spot camouflage developed in Germany in the 1980s based on the shades of bronze green, leather brown and tar black was compared at the time with the American MERDC camouflage schemes and considered better. The Bundeswehr then introduced them and the Americans adopted them for parts of their armed forces and then other NATO forces followed.

    Small army with interesting weapons. Nevertheless they needs more weapon systems, especially airplanes, drones, helicopters, air defense systems, armored, trucked infantry fighting vehicles, armored recovery vehicles, artillery self-propelled howitzers, command, communication, coordination and control systems, joint assault bridging systems, armored breaching systems, demining systems, medium range radars, artillery tactical radars, military trucks, fuel tankers, lorries These systems can help establish real army system.

    • @buckethatboi274
      @buckethatboi274 Před 7 měsíci +2

      As for planes/drones/helicopters, Lithuania possesses and operates 2 full batteries of NASAMS-3, among other anti-aircraft solutions that would be able to cover its entire border. As for drones and helicopters, the Lithuanian military also operates counters to that, namely the EDM4S PADR. Furthermore, it is a part of Lithuanian army doctrine to maintain a highly mobile force, which is why the only tracked vehicles they plan on operating in any sort of combat are all SPGs/SPAs. As for armored recovery vehicles, Lithuania possesses the Bergepanzer-2 (along with other. And as for static artillery and SPGs, Lithuania owns 32 Panzermorser m113s, along with 54 m101s (previously 72 with 54 donated to Ukraine) along with 21 PZH2000s with 18 CAESAR and 8 HIMARS artillery systems on order. I'm not certain about what you mean by "command" as the personnel are the ones commanding as opposed to the vehicles themselves, but Lithuania does possess over 180 m577s. Communication vehicles cease to exist, as every individual vehicle has its own communication systems. As for bridging systems, they are not needed as Kaliningrad and Vilnius (where we can expect Lithuanian military action in the event of a war with Russia and Belarus) do not have any major rivers, and all of the smaller rivers have preexisting bridges. I don't know what armor breaching systems is supposed to mean, so I can't really say anything about that. As for demining systems, Lithuania does not, in fact operate any designated systems for that role, but I ask you: would a domestic demining vehicle really be necessary when operating in Lithuania's geography and military state of defensiveness? And as for radars, Lithuania operates the TRML-3D and the Indra Sistemas radars, which are both longer range devices, and as for tactical radars Lithuania operates the Saab Giraffe and the AN/MPQ-64. On the topic of logistical vehicles, Lithuania has enough logistics and utility vehicles to support its own army several times over. I do believe the real army system has been established.

    • @Aski2
      @Aski2 Před 7 měsíci +2

      @@buckethatboi274 Hmm, I doubt, two batteries NASAMS3 with fire range 25 km can defend entire Lithuania. This not possible These AD systems can not be everywhere at the same time.
      Lithuanian army posses some trucked vehicles e.g. Bergepanzer2, M113, PzH and plan to buy MB tanks. These are not light vehicles, I suppose.
      LA also got some heavy wheeled vehicles e.g. Boxer APC, heavy trucks. These heavy vehicles require technical support, services, good bridge, road and store infrastructure.
      Towed artillery and mortars also needs more support.
      Ordered Caesar SPAG and Himars weapon systems also needs these mentioned above things.
      Command, communication, control posts based on specialized vehicles is NATO standard. I can not see such vehicles in LA parade march.
      Communication systems mean, long range radio stations, radio lines, nets and other systems used in army secret net centric system with adequate cryptography and security systems. This is not simply broadcast with individual communication systems!
      Bridging systems are needed. In other way how LA would crossing Niemen and other rivers in Lithuania and neighbor states?
      They will not help Latvia, when they can not cross Dvina river. They will not withdraw to Poland, when they can not cross Niemen river. They will not counterattack on Belarus or Kaliningrad oblast, where are many small marshy rivers, lakes and streams.
      They can not effectively maneuver even in their own country. So, will LA stay and wait for death in few places in Lithuania?
      Breaching system mean various engineering systems to demine fields, breach any obstacles, build or improve bridges, roads for better maneuver and supply e.g. Abrams ABS. ARV M88 Hercules, demining robots, etc.
      Ukraine war shows that mines are dangerous, also in defense. Aggressor for instance can shot mines behind defensive lines and separate parts of defender units from support. Then aggressor can destroy enveloped with mine fields separated troops.
      Radars are destroyable, therefore LA should posses more radars to support or exchange these who will can not work under attack.
      Do LA really has enough logistic and utility vehicles, helicopters and planes as like heavy transport, truck lorries, mobile fuel tanks, water tanks, food, fireman, medical, technical support, etc? I doubt in it.

      @@ropeburn6684 Agree, but european combat readiness sucks too. Munition production is low, recruitment targets not met, even German navy only has 2 flyable helicopters. Meanwhile, the best Korea has 1 million troops behind DMZ, with 8 million reservists ready for call up. Add to that 6600 tanks and the nuclear arsenal. All achieved with only 4 bln. USD of budget. Their quality maybe low, but it's still a no contest. Europe must do more.
