  • How we went about applying stair decals. My wife found these on Etsy, but I found them on Amazon too. So, don't be put off when you hear me say Etsy in the video. Apparently Bleucoin is the name of the brand. I thought it was the Etsy company my wife got them from, but nope, you can get these in multiple places.
One thing I didn't touch on in the video is just how expensive this is. It seems overly priced. But, they really do look great, so I don't know... whatever.
Link to Etsy store where we got them:

I was going to try to cut tin ceiling tiles and attach to the risers but this looks great and easier. Got distracted by the adorable jack russell!

I just applied my decals today by myself…ugh! I found taking off half the backing first, getting that half lined up and stuck correctly then peeling off the other half. The second side was easier. It definitely took less time than painting and so much more interesting!

Omg! They’re expensive but I love the brand. It’s on my wishlist. I got wallpaper from Wallpop. I like it but it’s more work to cut the strips.

I am getting ready to do this exact job today so I wanted to find a few videos for any pitfalls I might encounter or tips... Thanks for the tips. I am sending the wife out of the house for the day just incase I start cursing... lol. I much prefer working with wood and this looks tedious but maybe not as bad as I have worked it up to be after watching you.

It’s very tedious! At least it was for me. My wife said she didn’t mind it.

Nice. Another option is to repaint them and apply some clear top coat. That's also time consuming but probably not anymore than the vinyl. This is definitely a good option for anyone out there.

Yeah we talked about stenciling, but she found these stickers and it seemed like it‘d be faster although probably it was a lot more expensive using the stickers. Those things seem way overpriced no matter where you get them from. So stenciling and clear coat would definitely be the better option if someone wants to keep the budget tight. Thanks for the input!

So, before I buy - it looks like buying a slightly taller height is a good thing - and just trim underneath the stair tread. I just measured my stair risers and the top one is much taller than the others...so I will go with that height. Thanks for the demo. Very helpful.

Wrinkles will likely smooth out if you use a hair dryer set on high heat and hold a few seconds over wrinkle. Product will melt if you hold hair dryer too close.

Can you tell me what design you chose?

My stair risers that I got are peeling can you suggest something to help them stick?

Looks great! A bit tedious, though, and exacting! The dog is cute! What about the small section of side riser on the first step after the landing?

It was actually very tedious! I was so done after the first one, but I just had to push through it and get it over with. My wife enjoyed the process however. Probably because it‘s something she really wanted done. It would have been hard to try to wrap around the stair for that little section without wrinkles or more headache so we just left it bare. Really it wasn‘t a hard project at all, just tedious trying to keep the wrinkles out. Thanks for watching Charles!

What is the name of the pattern you chose? Bleucoin has 9 pages of products on their etsy site.

The price is worth it, because the sticky stays. No no to the dollar store FAIL
