    I'm too old to get out and get under now but I love watching the action from the side lines. Great Videos, thanks.

    Another great video, but if i can add a few tips having done these jobs myself:
    Put more copper grease on the body of those stainless steel pins. Then use locktite on the threads as they have a habit of loosening off. Whilst those pins are removed, replace the flap seals (this alone can stop a lot of people's leaks).
    When fitting any mods to the centre box area, cut and fit a piece of heavy duty sound proofing mat underneath... Before bolting down (you can thank me later 😊).
    Oh and your windscreen rubber is completely knackered/ perished.. i would do that before the other jobs personally.
    Keep em coming 👍

      Yes definitely worth looking at the flap seals at that stage.

      Really great advice. I put quite a lot of anti seize on but you can't tell as it was silver!

    I think I'll get one of those boxes, I'm on doing a 130 so these tips and tricks are really useful, I'm going to need a load of new bolts to put everything back together again as nearly all have broken, even the floor screws so it would be handy if you could touch on that in a video.

    Hi some great videos and content. Would it be possible to get a video of installing inward facing seats I’m currently trying to fit some and they are a lot harder than expected. I definitely think a video would be beneficial
    Cheers

    Will the sliding locker work with van landys with the bulkhead or is the hinged one a better option?

    My TD4 has the newer strap with the bump in it, but doesn't have that extra spacer. Is it specific to the TD5?

    Thanks Fraser. Nice to see real life 'spannering' and issues with the screen bracket fixings - good to know. Would it be worth fitting a screen-roof seal; screen surround-bulkhead seal; and screen rubber at this stage along with the door seals? Cheers.

      Absolutely. But it is a big job. If we plan a respray I'll probably do it then. For now the screen rubber needs changing for sure

    Unfortunately cubby box draw doesn't fit a truck cab which is a shame as space is at a premium in the cab and extra storage solutions would be very useful

    • @LRLiveUK
      @LRLiveUK  Před rokem

      They do a hinged version which I'm told does lift enough to be usable in a truck cab.

      @@LRLiveUK probably not so well with all my gear stuck behind the seats and cubby box
