I'm really enjoying these demos so far. You can definitely tell that Jeff is going for a completely different vibe compared to his work on Hatchetfield music, and it's really paying off.
I love how this song explains the town's people's point of view and how they see Cinderella as a lost case, both wary of her and pitying.

Oof, this one makes me cry. The isolation, pity and helplessness. All of these demos are on a whole other level in terms of painting a picture of the scene and making you feel what these characters are going through - all while being fire, bops, and jams

Ok, so I know I JUST posted a comment on "Castle On A Hill" saying that it was the best thing @jeffblim has ever written... and ummm... I might have to amend that. "Cursed Crazy" might be better. I still stand by "Castle On A Hill" being the best @jeffblim has ever sounded, to date. But yeah, "Cursed Crazy" really speaks to me. Let's face it, they both do. I'm an 80's Rock Kid at heart. Man this whole Soundtrack is going to be 80's Rock, isn't it? And, no I haven't had a chance to go back and watch the Livestream where all the songs are demoed. Now I might have to.
I fucking love this one, it’s been haunting me since I heard it on the stream. Had to keep myself from singing it under my breath while stocking shelves at work.

It's one of the nine demos that they showed off in the "Exploring the Lands that Are" livestream. I recommend going to the stream and giving it a listen, it's another amazing song from this show.
I'm loving the vibe here. It's definitely real synth 80s aligned. More 'cool' as opposed to wacky.

First of all this song has a really nice vibe, somebody mentioned that it sound similar to Fall Out Boy and now I can't unhear it and I love it. It's really catchy too, and so is Castle on a Hill, amazing job as always Jeff :)
But I do wanna say that the pre-choruses sound a bit offbeat for some reason. It's like that bass-y synth feels delayed or the vocals feel a little early. I don't know, it could be my speakers or something, but I'm having trouble with understanding the beat and the groove of the song in those parts.
Though after all this is a demo and I'm sure that it'll sound better in the final version, I just wanted to share my thoughts because I haven't seen anybody mention it.

I just commented this myself, and I've seen others saying the same. Hopefully they see the comments and check it, and yeah I'm sure it'll be great live. This is easily some of Jeffs best work, the chorus is so good!

This song really hit me in all the best ways possible. As someone with Autism, I feel that this song really explains the Autistic Experience very well when it comes to Autism’s stigma in the status quo. Just like the townsfolk have labeled Ella as “cursed” and “crazy”, a lot of non-autistic folks almost view people with Autism as “cursed crazy” because Autistic folks can be too otherworldly and alien for a non-autistic person to understand at times. Of course, this can be said for anyone who has dealt with either neurological issues or mental health issues because of how bad the stigmas are for both in our society. I can’t wait for the official track to come out because this is possibly Starkid’s best musical yet song-wise. Keep up the good work Mr. Jeff Blim.

My guess is the narrator will have Castle on a Hill. I’m thinking this might be an Ella song, sort of one of the songs that are sung in third person, but it also could be some sort of ensemble heavy song? Idk but I’m very excited to find out
I'm pretty sure in the livestream they said this would be an ensemble number, and I think it may include the narrator too but I could be wrong

@@elliee884 I'm assuming they want the line at 2:11 to be changed as it references something that comes from some native American cultures. Said thing is also something that many people of those cultures have asked to not be said as it is disrespectful.
However. I am not native American so I cannot speak for them, But I am aware that it is a common thing that is used disrespectfully.
I caught this when I heard it too, I wondered about it. Considering its very literal, since the trolls skin people and walk around wearing their skins, I thought they might be okay using it, but I'm not native American, or American at all, so I wasn't sure. It would be a shame if they stuck with the line even though I'm sure they (like me) thought it would be okay since it's literally what they're doing. Btw I mean no offense, if the term is offensive even with this context applied they should of course change it.
@@c4cezar_magz oohhhhhh yeah that makes sense, I can understand why people would want that changed. I was completely unaware of the history surrounding that and can only imagine that they also didn’t realize when writing it, but hopefully they’ll be able to change it before the final version.

Her mother was burned at the stake for witchcraft, you can hear it in Ash to Ash. It's also in the opening narration for the show

It’s Starkid, their second ever show was called “Me And My Dick”, this is barely anything compared to that. If you click on anything Starkid related and are surprised it’s “weird” then that’s on you

i’m not a fan of the dubstep influences in this and i’m not a fan of the fact it’s literally just a generic pop song. i like my musical songs to be musical songs. i’m allowed my taste and you’re allowed yours.

@@doom3798I agree, the show has some songs that wouldn't sound weird played at a club (I really don't think you're going to like the villain song Facade either, I don't to be honest) BUT there are lots of great musical-ass musical songs in the show as well from what we've heard so far. My favourites in the show are Step on Your Grave, Neon, Trappings of Starlight and Ash to Ash. You might not like Neon either but I think the other 3 will impress you. The show is inspired by Labyrinth and Dark Crystal so there's lots of synth throughout, but not all of it sounds like modern pop. There's a video if you search for "Cinderella's castle all songs" someone has uploaded all the song demos released so far.
