  • Traditional freeze plug rotted behind the motor mount so I tried a Forman rubber. Let’s see if it holds. Will report back.

I tried for an hour and a half to install the original. Not enough space. So, I put the rubber one in. I’ve used them before.

I've got an oem one that doesnt even look rotted, leaking at seal and this looks perfect for that

It's super hard installing freeze plugs in the car...you rarely get the right angle to hammer in. I've used the rubber plugs a few times now with no problems.

I put a expansion freeze plug in my SBC over 10 years ago !! It’s still in it .. I just noticed it the other day now I’m concerned I should probably replace it with a new one ..
Anyways my point is here people say these expansions plugs don’t work , well they do !! Again mine has been in my mildly built chevy 305 for over 10 years and it doesn’t leak or anything it hasn’t moved from where I installed it ..
    Works great ..
Though now seeing it and remembering how long it was ago I put it in , I am now concerned I should replace it ..
