  • **READ DESCRIPTION** In the video, I say to torque the stock to “55-60 foot pounds.” This is incorrect as you are supposed to torque the stock to 55-60 POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH. Sorry about that. Thanks! Magpul Hunter 700 Stock Installation on my Remington 700 ADL (6.5 Creedmoor)

    That would be inch pounds. not foot pounds.

    Guys, during the video, I said to torque the screws to 55-60 pounds per square inch. I meant to say 55-60 INCH POUNDS OF TORQUE. Hope this helps some of yall.

    Do you think this stock is heavier than the synthetic one you had before? Just ordered this stock for my 7mm mag Remington 700 and we had the exact same stock. Just curious.

      Man I think it feels better than the synthetic stock. The magpul feels super quality, weight wise I’d say they are maybe around the same weight but it’s distributed way better in the Magpul stock.

    Careful messing w that trigger. I did too much and had a misfire down range at the range. No damage done as it was pointed at a target but scary stuff

      I’ve heard people say this a few times. Probably smart to leave it at around 3 pounds. I think mines at 2.5 though

    Adding the spacers you just remove the one larger screw ..

    how long this the front screw? I am struggling with mine being too short. to start, the back screw was cross threaded from Remington, now the front screw is short.

      The factory one I have is too short and the Brownells long screw set is too long and doesn’t allow the bolt to cycle. It needs to be somewhere in the middle

    So you dumped the trash scope, rings and base? Leupold is the best way to go

    • @SouthernSideQuests
      @SouthernSideQuests  Před rokem

      I sure did. Threw leupold rings and base on it, and a vortex crossfire 6-18x44. I’ll eventually put something a little better on it. I’m in Tennessee so typically, if I’m in a field the longest shot I’ll have is 500 yards. The longest range out my way only goes to 1200 yards, so it will do for now.

    55-60 INCH POUNDS OF TORQUE NOT POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH. YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT SO, QUIT MAKING VIDEOS
