Really liked this! The progressively getting stronger whilst the enemy waves get more complicated is really fun, as well as the rounds when they’re all melee, and a different round when they’re ranged really makes it fun to fully spec into ranged defense/melee defense. Overall, I think this mode is really nice, and i enjoyed watching it!
Unless they've changed it since I last played, you can tell units to hold their position by holding the button instead of tapping it while setting their position.
Would solve that "they should stand here and shoot not run confused" issue you had.
i feel like adding the blacksmith/hero units to all the levels, even if just as a endless-only thing, would indeed be very good to have
When I saw wander get the rollers and not build the wall for the base I knew the run was over. lol
This mode is probably best played after completing the campaign so that you have access to all of the upgrades and also understand all of the mechanics.

Though - taking royal mastery when the option to have an elite squad of super archers in a run where the king sucks and units are buffed felt weird. It's ok to specialize!
I like the spin this new mode puts on the game.
Wander you can make your units stay in one place, I don't know what button it was but I saw someone doing it with the archers and warriors

Been a while since i play this game, have the developer add an option to have more than one button? I remember it being my only gripe with the game back then.

Cool idea
Once you get that upgrade where houses are also ranged units, they become way too good for their cost I think =S
(especially the t2 upgrade. I don't think it's worth getting the thing where you upgrade one house a night, it becomes too valuable to upgrade your houses early).
I didnt care about this tame before but it lookee solid, the new mode looks insanly fun now its only $5usd atm with the winter sale
i've tried the new mode after watching your video.
it was definitely fun but i can only say that it still has some pretty bad balance issues...
on some maps i won without any problem and even while playing pretty bad.
while on other maps, especially the later rounds, i got overrun by literally HUNDREDS of enemies!
it was bad to a degree that i could only go for two economy buildings tops because i absolutely needed any unit i could get just to survive the next round...

I think one of the reasons why you're having more difficulty as you go up the ladder is because you're positioning your units too close to your buildings (particularly the Golem). Enemy's will start to pathfind towards buildings instead of units and if they take down a barracks, it means you won't gain any more units for that night, turning it into a battle of attrition where they'll steadily make more and more progress as they whittle away at your remaining units.
Putting them closer to the spawns will allow for more time for replacements to spawn and join the battle before enemy units can progress.
Speaking of roguelikes, God of War Ragnarok's Valhalla is for all extents a roguelike.

only rlly play rogue likes super casually but why are most roguelike CZcamsrs very mellow and laidback compared to the average gaming letsplayer?
Love the dev of this, gotta pick it up sometime. Too bad I gotta choose between groceries and games ,_,
So far it's not possible to get every perk, highest stage I've gotten so far is 15... it gets hard...
The maps should be changed tho. Getting the first map is a death sentence at higher stages since it has so little money generation...
