- Eswatini Arts and Music Association (SWAMA) and the Association of Christian Artists of Eswatini (ACAESWA) present the ESWATINI ARTISTS ENSEMBLE - ASIBEMUNYE (Official Music Video). #Asibemunye is a song of hope amid global distress and uncertainty caused by disease, pandemics, famine, poverty, racism, tribalism, xenophobia, and other ills. #Asibemunye means 'Let's be one' (unite). The ensemble consists of some of #Eswatini's big names: Velemseni, Mandisa, Msizi, Nothando Hlophe, Bholoja, Popzin, Msimisi, King Terry, Nomvumelwano, Gcina Masuku, Bheki Khanyile, Phathwakahle, LK Baba, King Terry, Mozaik, Liah Lo, Symphony, Floewe, among many others. The song was commissioned by His Majesty's Government of Eswatini through the National Emergency Management Task Force, and was produced by Muzi "Mozaik The Producer" Ngwenya. Creative Directors of the song were Lindelwa Lindz Mafa and Bongani DJ Tizalami Dube. The music video was produced by Direktor Kwenu and directed by Lindelwa Lindz Mafa. This is a wonderful song! I'm a 7th Grade Science teacher in Massachusetts (USA), still teaching 100% remotely due to coronavirus. I've been giving my students a tour of modern African music, one country each day. I play the music in the background for the first few minutes while they do an opening task to get them ready for the lesson. This song is my choice from Eswatini. What a wonderful message.
