I feel split.
One way I think Connie shines in these kind of slow jazzy songs, but I also think she is brilliant in the more poplike songs and I think that is the way to go if she wants to reach a broader audience (like Zara Larsson who is now a world star and started in a talent competition).
In the end it all depends on what Connie wants and likes.
I just hope she will get the reckognition she deserves in the end. She is one of the most talented singers ever.
Whatever she chooses, she has all my respect.
Jan Jensen music Jan, you know Connie just finished the basic recording on album #5, which we will hear in September. I think it will probably reveal some great surprises and that will be a clue. We also know that Connie can virtually do every sort of music that there is and that she always seems to look for new worlds to conquer. I am sure the best is yet to come! :)1
Jan Jensen music would not want her to sell out shes talented enough and already has a decent enough fan base to take it to another level but staying true to herself. Of course she is a young girl and if she wanted to sing pop songs then that is as it should be. It would be a shame to think that for all these years of hard work would lead to her having to sing pop to get a broader audience. Hopefully she will have the freedom to sing a variety of style as she does now.
Helen. I agree that Connie should not sell out of herself to become more popular.
Thats why I say that I respect her choices.
I never think she should sing and cheap bad pop, but she is actually brilliant at some quality popsongs like let it go, say something, just give me a reason and others.
Besides i consider her own Beautiful world, building bridges, happy song, gravity and inner beauty as quality pop, so let us see in which direction she will go in the coming years:)
Forgot to mention her own "Im here for you", which is also one of her best original songs I believe.

I swear, this kid is getting more and more legit by the day. Some of those child performers you see on these singing shows kind of start petering out once they get older or just get lost in the shuffle, but then there's the exceptional few that just keep getting better and better and stay standouts. This girl right here is one of the expectationals.
The only one that will be able to stop Connie from going the distance is Connie, because she's GOT it. One breakthrough hit and it's a wrap, she's taking over.
The future of music looks to be in good hands. Keep up the good work, Talbot!

What do u mean Ariana is not the nicest to her fans? What bad she has done to them? Do u know that she offered them hot chocolate while they were waiting outside her hotel in the cold? Do u know that recently bc it was raining really bad while she had her concert and the stadium was open she continued performing even though they were trying to stop her and now she released a new date for them? You can't judge her by not knowing anything about her!

Well from the video I saw online (a surveillance video posted online by the shop in question) it certainly looked like Ariana licked the donut. She even licked her lips afterwards. And it was reported in the media that in fact she (and a male friend) both did in fact lick the donuts. But anyway, I was in agreement that this event was an entirely different issue as how she treated her fans.
mango Killer there weren't cameras outside her hotel when she offered them hot chocolate! She did it because she really cared about them! And she never caught wishing death on her fans, this is a rumor some people made! You don't really know her real her because you're not a fan of her but I am and believe me from every move she makes the media just keep only the disadvantages just to destroy her image. They don't do it only to Ariana but to everyone. Yes she makes mistakes, all the people make mistakes but she has more advantages than disadvantages. Thank you.
I love you singing songs with this pace, because I think songs like this fall into a sort of "sweet spot" for your voice. When you sing a song like this, Connie, everything good about your voice gets a turn, and it is so satisfying to sit back and listen to!

What a voice! just simply a natural beauty voice, unlike other singers who needs some mechanical engineering audio devices to coat up their unpleasantly-sounding voices. And Connie's naturally developed vibrato adds more beauty to it. i seem can't stop listening to this over and over again.

swyman10 I think it's these type of jazz and blues songs where she really shines the most. Post-puberty Connie has been knocking it out the park with this, I'm Not The Only One, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, and her own song Nobody's Fool.
Not to say her other covers haven't been legit (we all know there's too many to name :P), but if I had to pick a few standouts, I'd pick those.
I can't even name my favorite because it changes with each new cover...lol I love her original music too, "I am Here For You" takes me back to the 60's and "Nobody's Fool" is simply way beyond her young years. I am loving watching Connie grow and mature.
