    That's one of the smartest build I have seen in my whole 13yr guitar making life.

    This is super useful and comprehensive. I never even thought of making a smaller spray booth for refinishing. Thanks!

    I've been working for a custom shop guitar company for the last 5 years but we are closing shop so I'm finishing all the rest of the guitars that I was in the process of building so am building a spray booth in my shop. I went from a 12'x16' paint booth but don't have room for that so this is my inspiration for my future booth

      Let me know if you need any dimensions or help along the way! This worked out pretty great. I am going to make a third video with the pros/cons of the booth. One thing I will mention is that I need to find a better solution to filter the air in the workshop. Keep getting stray dust/fibers in my finish if I leave the fan on too long after spraying...

      I have an air filter in the shop that does a decent job but maybe I need something else lol

    This is really helpful! You mention building a different version of a guitar holder for neck thru's. Have you done any work on that?

      Happy to help! I haven't gotten around to it actually... I've mainly sprayed bolt on construction guitars. Might not be in the next video but maybe the one after that!

    damn i really wanted to see how the ducting for the fan worked - I just got a 10" vevor and am trying to figure out how to make custom ducts

    Awesome build! I am using your build as inspiration for my own booth. I have a question on the fan. Is it powerful enough? Or maybe too powerful? Does it have multiple speed settings? Thanks for a great video!

    • @AugmentGuitars
      @AugmentGuitars  Pƙed rokem +1

      Thanks a bunch! The fan has been great so far. Plenty of power and it doesn’t seem like overkill. In the next episode I will show the draw from the primary filter. Sucks all the fumes out! It unfortunately doesn’t have any speed settings. Just on and off lol!

    Great videos and really enjoying them. I have a 2 ft deep workbench and want to do little spray booth on it similar to your great one.. is it enough depth???

    • @AugmentGuitars
      @AugmentGuitars  Pƙed rokem +1

      Thanks for watching! Honestly.... I wish I had a little more depth with this build so I think 3 ft. is the minimum. I wish I would have pushed the filter back a few more inches to give me more clearance for offset/large bodies. You could make a new top for your workbench and extend it to 3-3.5 ft. towards the front of the booth. Might work out that way!

      The only measurement I didn’t see on the video is the depth of the actual spray area?? Still a fine video and well done!

      Whoops! I’ll measure it tomorrow and put it in the comments sections

      Time got away from me lol! I am actually editing the second part of the build now. It focuses around the guitar work piece holder I built. Sorry for the delay!
