  • America, being home to the ice cube, would of course find a way to ice tea. So with June as National Iced Tea month, we are tasting 3 teas that are fabulous over ice.
As a general rule, just about any tea tastes good iced. Now, as a tea snob, really I would excluded a few of the higher end teas as you loose the complexity of their flavors on ice or you just get too much of one note, not necessarily a good note, to enjoy the tea. Personally, I would not ice Lapsang Souchong, most aged puerhs and the lightest of white teas. That should not stop you, this is just my preference. What I would encourage you to do, is find a tea you liked iced that you are not putting sugar in. Tea should always be drunk straight (I believe this about coffee as well.). So if you want to add sugar to an iced tea, ask yourself why and try a different tea according to the answer.

    Teas in the Flight
Classic Iced: Dominion Tea’s own take on a summer favorite! Nilgiri from India is blended with Assam for a malty, faintly fruity flavor profile with a brisk finish.
Summer Peach Decaf: Can’t get enough of our Georgia’s Peach? We’ve decaffeinated our black tea base to bring you all the peachy flavors you love, but decaf. Ideal for iced tea.
Orange Blossom: Brighten up your day with the lively taste of citrus! Sweet and zesty orange peel, organic raspberry leaf, and green tea make for a perfect candidate for a refreshing summer cold brew.
