You are giving me so much inspiration. I'm a non traditional student freshman in college I'm 45 and have no previous degree other than my high school diploma. I'm double majoring in physics and computer science. I want to go into a PhD program directly after undergrad. Your videos help to give me extra encouragement to move forward. Thanks for your videos.

I'm right there with you, I just finished my BA in History and Philosophy last year at 47 and started my MA this year. I'm also hoping to go on to a PhD! For me, once I got past the awkwardness of being surrounded by people so much younger than me, I found the whole experience incredibly rewarding. Good luck!

I started following recently in the past 2 years . I graduated with a bachelors in history and wanted more than anything to prove people wrong and have a career in academics. Sadly, it just wasn’t in the cards. And with life, my love for history hasn’t changed but it’s taken a back seat. Stumbling across your Instagram one day and following your CZcams I find myself, not only living vicariously through you as you live my dream, but that I can, on my own, study history because it makes me happy. I’ve picked up my first historiography in almost 10 years and I take that 400 page beauty with me everywhere. Your channel has reignited my love of academia even though I am not in a spot to have it be my career. And I listen to your videos at work for personal motivation. Just don’t tell my boss LOL

Your videos are truly inspiring and gives me inspiration. The writing process is different for everybody, it is not the same for everybody. I sometime use concept mapping and/or writing my thoughts down on a piece of paper or on Google Docs before writing the paper or just head straight to writing a draft of the paper, email or meet with the professor to discuss the draft before submitting the paper. However, sometimes I make small tweak to my writing process that I kind of notice.
I am currently reading The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. I read this book awhile ago back in Spring 2021 but felt like it was time to reread it since I purchased the other two books of this book series.

I'm working on something that is confusing the hell out of everyone around me 😂I'm pursuing the second half of my BA (community college grad with an Associate's) but decided to switch my major from a Social Science to Humanities (gasp) as I'm deep diving into my life-long fascination with mythology and folklore, but from a literary and creative writing focus instead of the Anthropology focus I had originally. BUT - I'm playing with the idea of a Liberal Arts MA that will allow more freedom to bring together elements of Psychology, Anthropology, History, Philosophy, and English in my studies and further workings. Will see how burnt out I am after my last academic year next fall (doing this all at age 35-36).
