Warning: This stuff will burn your lips and gums... be careful.
I’ve never gotten it on my lips but any bleaching should never be on gums or lips . always be careful with bleaching. I’ve never recommended any bleaching OTC until this.
If you feel it on your gums or lips you probably haven't let it dry properly

Thanks getting ready to try it. I am thinking about getting the 18 I have left pulled, I am losing bone and you can tell in my teeth also. My teeth are getting really thin. I like the teeth they just have like pegs in your gums and connect your teeth to them? Don’t know yet? Maybe you can let me know what you think. Thanks Bettyjo
Thin teeth with no enamel can be sensitive to bleaching. Without looking at you I’m not sure? Pegs in gums sound like implants? Ask your dentist what he thinks.

How long does it take to dry? Do you let it dry before going to bed?
It takes 1 to 2 min or so
It does instantly when it hits saliva so you need to make sure your teeth are dry when you put it on.
Does it work…..? Furthermore, how long does it last after the seven days ?
I love it. I do it every 6 mo since I drink cokes but alot if my patients go longer

honestly if you want me as a hygienist to be honest, I’ve never thought about it lol. So the point of bleaching is to whiten teeth without something interfering. a retainer would interfere. but if it’s completely dry I’d think it would be ok. but since it’s an overnight one I don’t know. I think I’d be nervous it could interfere.

What do you think the best long term product is
The trays are quicker. Pen is good for a cheaper expense. Colgate optic white rinse is good if you have a long time to wait . I use this in my water pik daily to freshen teeth and prevent stain. Avoiding tea, coffee, red wine , sodas will let it last longer.

How long does it last?
If you drink sodas, coffee, tea, smoke etc those make you do it more often. Some people can bleach once a year but some every 6 mo. Some who don’t do predisposing factors go longer.
Can I put my retainer over it once it is dry?
Once it’s dry I would think so. I have to brush it off the next day harder then when I normally brush. Normally you want to brush gently! Lol
So that means we have to swallow that residue the entire night. Those chemicals in the ingredients do not sound safe. Yikes!
It dries to your teeth . The next day you have to scrub it off.
You can also use the trays with the pen and then brush it off since the new tray light system works in 10 min
The ‘chemicals’ are not toxic and are safe to swallow.
