This morning I went outside to look at my garden and on the way I pass by a Thistle plant in full bloom, I saw my first Swallowtail and I can't describe how it brightened my day and brought me so much joy.

It’s cool how you managed to get them to lay eggs outside of their range with Hoptree which is in the citrus family.

Thanks for this informative video with great detail and visuals! My 3 yr old daughter discovered the caterpillars, which I just thought were bird poop at first glance, this week on our young lemon tree. We had a friend with a butterfly nursery come take them to a new home so that our tree doesn’t completely get eaten away, but hopefully we can grow another plant that they can enjoy so we can have some growing in our own yard sometime again.

Very nice video and helpful information on host plants. However, as an entomologist I'd like to point out that adult butterflies "emerge" from chrysalises, not "hatch". Hatching is for larvae from eggs.

They're so gross and ugly on my citrus leaves but I know they'll be gorgeous 😍 soon 😆 God's wonders 🙏

Greetings from Roseville Michigan near Lake St.Clair,6 miles north of Detroit. I'm a 4th year rearer for monarch butterflies,1st year rearer for black swallowtail butterflies,I love your video but I'm not seeing any Large Swallowtails,do they have a specific pattern that they follow like monarch's?or is it being at the right place at the right time?
